Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 5)

Id like R* to add a car based on the 1994-96 Chevy Impala SS for the Tuners/Import/Streetracing dlc, the impala ss was my #1 car for street competition in midnight club, it wasnt the fastest but I still managed to beat other cars that had superior performance.

Seeing as this exists in the 3D era (being the LCPD, FIB (well FBI back then), Taxi and Bickle '76), it has a slight chance on returning Question is when?

Man, I remember back in gta sa the premier was basically my go-to car for a bunch of stuff I did like racing,looking for gold stars to reduce the the wanted level, joyriding, etc. the car was my best friend in that game and I hope he returns to gta online someday. Invincibility, invisibility, off-radar, it seems that each property that Rockstar introduces there's always something like this but with the facility it was even more ridiculous.

I agree with the talk of another racing-style dlc, although I think it will be a bit bigger than the typical March filler updates considering how interest in the game peaked with DDH. in my eyes it seems like a wasted opportunity on Rockstar's behalf if they released only a few cars as the next dlc, as I'm sure that would disappoint the new or returning players. Only time will tell

I agree with this, December was record breaking for GTAO with more players online than ever before. Of course it'll be a smaller update(obviously) compared to december and most likely it'll be races considering this event week but I do think it'll be bigger than previous years because of more players playing. Either more cars (more likely) like people have said around 8-10 cars this update or maybe, just maybe they'll add more than just races.

 

Theyve clearly got the attention of the gaming community with DDH so like TazzyTizer said, it would be a wasted opportunity if they were to half ass this DLC. Of course it wouldn't be the first time that R* wasted perfect opportunities....

This is the same thing that happened with Import/Export, at the time, that update was so successful just like Doomsday Heist update, yet they still dropped SVC two months later.

Antisocial GTAO for life. I even have a few friends who do the same and occasionally we'll use the party function on PS4 to chat while we grind our respective lobbies. We've tried the helping each other out thing, it takes three times as long that way so screw that. R*s fault entirely that we're incentivised to play that way, we're simply rolling with the punches at this point..

 

I could see the next update being either meme races or a slightly bigger/medium sized update. Would love for it to be the oft requested street racing/Midnight Club DLC, but I won't be holding my breath. If it has good sports cars and a muscle car or three, I'll settle for meme races. My solid bet is that there will at least be a few more cars that were created at or around the time of the DH cars/drip. Whoever did those deserves a pat on the back.

May we will see the return of car that have been stocked and waiting to be release (the "kinda" sequel of the cars we have in DDH if they are some still left.) My money's on a smaller update this time around as well. I would, however, find it odd if R* didn't do anything to celebrate GTA IV's 10th anniversary, but I doubt a map expansion (dream update) is coming true. At least not at this particular time. I think they will add something related to IV to commemorate its anniversary, though. Cars, T-shirts, or something along those lines. Fingers crossed for a map expansion nonetheless, even if it's not likely.

 

Maybe they'll keep it simple and give us an anniversary T-shirt or whatever as a log-in bonus during the anniversary week. Maybe something bigger along with the rest of the update. Time will tell.

I think its funny how ppl think a racing update is the usual march update lol. Last year was literally the first small march "filler" update, and the first march racing update. 2016 was the Lowriders Custom Classics, 2015 was the Massive Heists update, and 2014 was the Business update (very meaty for its time). Cunning Stunts v1 was a summer update. Im speculating a nice sized update, whether its cunning stunts styled, Midnight Club styled, or something different. But im still feelin that R* is gonna continue to suprise us with fan requested content. Including tuners, muscle, and street racing. They have been consistently at the top of multiple fan polls for months now.

Why would they fix that on pc only? It's possible to do on console also

 

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but patching glitches is usually done through background scripts and not with tunables afaik

well it has been "meh" with most march updates at this point.

 

the business update was just the size of all the updates back then and all of them where filler made to make the wait of heists more easy.

 

heists was big.

 

lowriders custom was just a leftover of the lowriders update itself so for sure a filler update.

 

special vehicle circuit was just a small spin off of CS but with waaay less vehicles (only 4) so for sure a filler update indeed.

 

so the believe that march is nothing but a filler month is more then vallid.

 

the race month aspect,i don't know for sure but we mostly think so because of the current even week being full of CS stuff which was just what they did last year aswell. they had a CS event week (almost exactly the same) with the race update being released the week after.
