Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 5)

We've got only 4 cars on the previous gap update, you know, so I don't think we will get more cars in case of a filler race update.

My main problem with that is that they allowed us to make quite the bank with 2X Bunker sales. It can't be that small.

maybe is small but the content is expensive!

 

we got a 10million dollar gold plane, 7million gold heli, i want a 8million gold car... make it the faster car pf them all!

 

 

Maybe the 2x events are chosen without regard for what the next DLC is going to be? Maybe they needed something to go on 2x and Gunrunning was just one they haven't done in a while.

 

When it comes to Rockstar I prefer to assume their laziness rather than them proactively deciding things with logic.

The only thing I really need this update is more garage space, given right now I only have 8 open spots in all of my properties. Let it be one extra apartment, mansions with 20-car garages, or the ability to buy a 2nd CEO office with garages, I don't care, I just need more space for my collection.

...bit late to the party on this, I know (and sorry if this has already been covered! ), but I just realised that the current event week is "Stunt Race Week", with double $$/RP on all R*-created/verified stunt races, as well as discounts focusing on racing vehicles.

 

Last year, in the run-up to Special Vehicle Circuit, R* released 15 new stunt races, as part of the "2017 GTA Online Stunt Race Event" - again, double $$/RP on R*-created/verified races, similar discounts, and even some of the same 25%-off vehicle discounts as this year (RE-7B, ETR1, Tropos Rallye, Trophy Truck).

Really does look like another Special Vehicle Circuit-ish thing is the likeliest candidate for this next update, doesn't it?

I don't even know what sort of themed vehicles they could release along those lines though. Segway? E-bikes? Mini Moke?

Which makes me think; how interesting would it be if they expanded on I/E with another type of vehicle business, maybe having us race for pink slips to take cars that we can sell (Tuners aspect gets thrown in there) and store them in the new warehouse, not because it's necessary but because R* will make us spend a lot of money.

 

Breaking into houses to steal a car in the garage (remember Frank repoing the BeeJay XL), doesn't seem too far fetched since they got a bit interior-friendly in DDH.

 

The Skylift would be an alternative way of moving vehicles back and forth.

Deluxo races will be just reskinned jet air races, no point to do it. Jetpack races? Reskinned helicopter races. Won't even look on things like RCV, barrage and others. They won't make a DLC ONLY for one vehicle, that'll be very weird

Races for the thruster, Stromberg, deluxo, and maybe the rcv (for ramming). And maybe integrate the new vehicles into the new races. They'll find a way.

You aren't thinking creatively enough. There could be some pretty cool Deluxo and Jetpack races tbh. Buzzard and Besra could have them too, but they decided to put them on transform races rather than their own races. And yep, that's the tastes, but imo none of those races were cool, neither transform (hoped for the best, really) and special vehicles (tbh I was against it at the start, but voltic races was a bit fun) Edited March 7, 2018 by WillProx

All we have right now is only speculations. My thoughts - info on Thursday. Like 80% it will be the filler dlc. If that's the true... Well, Rainbow Six just released operation Chimera, and Brigitte will be live soon on Overwatch, so I'll take a break from GTA

The Deluxo can have its own Transform races without any transforming, which lends itself to more 'organic' transitions for lack of a better term, and the ability to switch hover/flying mode on and off brings in one of the best elements of Ruiner 2000 races, but in a much more dynamic way.

 

The Thruster can fit into spaces no other aerial vehicle can, and in hover mode it can move in a way that no other aerial vehicle can, so you could make some pretty unique custom tracks for it.

With the sp2mp and GC2F glitches patched and the last dripfed vehicle released means the lack of new modded cars is making me antsy. Hype for Thursday is the only thing keeping me playing this game. R* pls don't disappoint.

 

What's been their sechedule the past few years for the March update announcement? Thursday, then trailer Friday, release Tuesday?
