it seems that it is no coincidence that LegitLeaks said that we will get something on the 6th and today information about gta 6 was leaked

leaked? more like a rumor most likely to be false.

I still think that part of those rumors will end up becoming true. But who knows..

many, my self incluided have speculated for years that we wont see another gta til atleast 2022-23 and that would very likely be set in vice city because VI.

Guys, the chance of there being an update on the 20th is almost slim to none. They almost never drop updates at the end of a month, least of all March updates. All signs point to the 13th especially with qabeta starting being updated last Friday too.

 

The coming soon article if there ever was to be one should have been put up last Thursday but it never was so for the most part, we can count that type of article out for this month.

The fact that today we only got a one week event week almost guarantees that the update will be the 13th. I expect the announcement/trailer on Thursday. This thread is going to be going a mile a minute in two days.

I had heard a previous rumor that the next update will be similar to Ill Gotten Gains. It would make sense if an update that revolved around swag came out after DDH, plus the 2X events we just had.

What makes everyone think the stunt race week is indicative of cunning sunts part whatever? I was thinking if anything it would mean its less likely- why encourage people to do a bunch of racing if all you're gonna offer them is a bunch MORE racing next week?

This may be so but its very unlikely that the new updates main theme will be races. That will likely only be part of the update.

Just common sense really. Rockstar wants people to play GTA Online and spend money on shark cards. At this point in the games cycle they need to give the fan base things to spend money on or they will just move on to other games.

 

My expectation is we will get a new property (maybe our own Bennys-like custom shop like some people on here have suggested). This new property could include a few property slots (like our clubhouses and facilities).

 

Im not saying we wont get races. Im just saying they wont be the main theme of the update. I think they will blend them in with another theme. Special Vehicle Races 2 isnt big enough for its own update. Thats too small for even a March update. Like I said above they want people playing GTAO instead of moving on to other games.

We'll get a major update sure, just not so soon after The Doomsday Heist. Give it until June before we see something substantial and then another big update for the fall (maybe) or just skip that because of RDR2 and release one in December.

Mate they have already done special races twice. Transform races and Special Vehicle Circuit. Both were their own updates and that was literally all there was to them. Races, cars, and creator updates.

 

Plenty big enough for an entire update. Rockstar knows their playerbase, the Sharkcard buyers especially. You really think casuals log in to buy new businesses? New properties? No, that's what vets like us buy. The casuals just want cool new cars. Cars sell Sharkcards.

- Compatible DDH vehicles will have their dedicated circuits.

- All non-dripfed DDH vehicles will be added to the Creator.

- New props and quite possibly limit increase.

- Wild guess; new super, sports and SUV.

- No weapons.

- Warp and Beast checkpoints added to the Creator.

- One or two adversary modes.

 

This in my opinion is a substancial amount of content for a March update.

I hear you, you have a point BUT, my only issue with what you said was that they already did this before, the focus for Rockstar is usually June and December, other than that the updates are not that big, especially the ones between January and May, with an exception of the Heist update but then the Heist update came out right before the PC release as well, they had two things going on at once during that year, the next update is 80% going to be just a filler update and that's about it, and I think compared to the first SVC we had, there are enough vehicles to create a second part of that update, I would love to think the same and say that we have a chance of getting something different but I just don't see it happening in a March update ...

we can only hope for some good clothes and locked cars to come out with whatever's coming next.

Im not saying this will be a major update by any means. The only major March update we ever got was Heists if Im not mistaken. Im only saying I expect more than just races this time around. If they do what they did last March and only give us races and 4 Vehicles (including dripfeed) then you will see a major drop off on players online until the next update.

 

I think bare minimum we get races, a new property and 10-12 new vehicles (including dripfeed). That allows them to give us one car a week starting with March 27th and likely last until the next update around June.

From the one side, yes, they can give us new Cunning Stunts (unfortunately). It's R*.

 

From the other side, what can R* add to the name for new Cunning Stunts?

The evolution of Races is: Usual Races > Cunning Stunts with different objects > Special Vehicles plus new boost options > Transform options.

Adding Stromberg and Deluxo means just "creating new 15 races" and it doesn't deserve to be a separate update. What shall we expect next (as option)?

December 2016 (The month I/E came out) had the most amount of players ever in Online at the time yet they still dropped a lackluster update three months after it. The numbers picked right back up and beyond surpassed I/E's numbers by June w/ Gunrunning.

 

Releasing a moderate sized/mini update for March won't be considered unusual for them at all.

More like 4 and leftovers from an unfinished one knowing Rockstar's love for these things.

I completely agree that cars sell sharkcards more than anything else. Thats why I think that we will get at least 10-12 new cars (maybe the missing hipster cars we havent got yet) in the new update. I dont think a measly 4 cars will cut this time around like last March.

Well since nothing came out today, Im assuming Thursday or Friday is the day for the trailer. Im not going to bother speculating on what the theme will be after what happened with Decembers update. I honestly think anything is possible as to what this update could contain
