Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 5)

d3sk1ng and xenmenu (the two most popular paid menus that I know of) and many others are still down or detected. qabeta hasnt been updated since Friday (does it usually update over weekends?). And the event (a very lucrative one) ends tonight? There have been no leaks at all (unless you count legitleaks crypto bs). The only thing keeping me from thinking an update might drop tomorrow is that they havent advertised it at all... but it wouldnt be the first time thats happened.

i think that if it would be a suprise update tomorrow,it would be very small,just 2 cars and nothing else just like the january 2016 suprise update.

 

if it's anything bigger then that (gameplay stuff plus some new vehicles) it would get an annoucement beforehand.

 

With the amount of money they're allowing us to make, it can't be just two cars. I've done nearly 7 millions by now and I'm not even trying or dedicating more time than just buying supplies, afk'ing bunker and selling coke once it's full (glitched supplies) in between.

I'm just calling it now, it'll be tuners and outlaws. Or special vehicle races or something. Want to know why I think so? I have the worst luck of anyone I know, yet I managed to sell 5 full large ceo warehouses last night, despite the game's best efforts to troll me. (My Titan quite literally dropped out of the sky onto a mountain. I managed to get the gear down just in time and take off again by going "full emergency power" and going UP the mountain..) So, that $11m~ish, plus all the grinding I've done over the past few weeks, plus selling some cars I didn't need means I'm sitting comfy on almost $20m. I've never went into an update more prepared. And it probably won't be something I want.. Looks like I'm going to be filling my Del Perro Heights garage with nothing but halftracks.

The looks of what things? We know absolutely nothing. The only real info is that the last couple March updates were filler. But I dunno, Rockstar has gotten weird with updates lately. They're throwing everything at the wall - I wouldn't put it past them for this to be something of substance, if only to keep the shark card money flowing.

well there's always the very small chance that rockstar considers the double money payouts we've been getting a big enough sign that something is coming soon.

 

i'm just letting my hopes speak btw.

 

this reminds of the I/E debacle. no one knew when that update was going to release either. heck we where still deep in speculation on when it would release just hours before it came out.

I would just die if I woke up tomorrow to a fresh batch of cars, regardless of theme. The only two things that could make a surprise update even better would be more garage space and less likely, so new aircraft. Whatever it is hopefully it contains the Dominator Classic, then I can move on to spamming social media, mouth off, and GTAF for a GT40.

With all the talk about new Benny's vehicles I feel I should inform everyone that there will never be another Benny's vehicle again. The dupe glitch is why.

Please stop talking out of your ass. First, there is no dupe glitch - there are dozens, one or two new ones a week usually. And second, introducing more Benny's cars wouldn't change a thing because dupers mostly dupe the same car over and over anyway. If they release new ones with lower mod values than the Elegy Retro Custom, no one will bother duping them anyway.

 

first, I am not talking out my ass. second, read your words "there is no dupe glitch - there are dozens", the second part of that sentence implies that there is indeed a dupe glitch, making the first part invalid. but I digress, there are not dozens of dupe glitches, there is one, it is the same method for each of the cars, in other words you can use the same dupe glitch on more than one vehicle. third, of course people still dupe the elegy, it is the only one worth it, and R* can not fix the glitch without removing the vehicles affected themselves. fourth, they won't add another Benny's car even if the value is less than the elegy because why even give a glitcher the possibility to do it again. fifth, with all the new cars with Benny's level of customization in LS Customs there is no need to add another Benny's vehicle.

Yes there's several different dupe glitches, you really don't know what you're talking about here.

 

You can dupe other than benny's cars also, only reason people dupe benny's is because those have the most expensive upgrades. If they make it so lsc cars have over $1 mill in parts they will be just as lucrative to dupe so there really isn't any reason to not add more benny's cars.

For R* to completely "fix" dupe glitches they need to remove every single car in the game..

 

Lastly people said we would never get a jetpack, new heists etc but they were wrong..

 

 

 

once again, the process is the same for every car, there is only one dupe glitch and it works on almost any vehicle.

As a recent connoisseur of these glitches (that's not a brag, but I'm also not ashamed of it), you don't know what you're talking about. Rockstar patches dupe glitches as fast as they pop up on YouTube and that other forum not to be named here. There has been an abundance of them since the Doomsday update due to the facility, and they've patched most within a few days. Inevitably another glitch pops up immediately after one is patched, sometimes being just the same basic glitch with a workaround for the part that was patched, and then the cycle repeats itself. Occasionally there are two or three methods going around at the same time, which makes hardcore dupers mad because they don't want Rockstar patching them all simultaneously. I don't know why you're convinced that it's the same process all the time, but I seriously doubt that there's one dupe process more than two weeks old that still works. If you're duping today, you're doing something that was just discovered recently.

 

And to reiterate my other point, again: why would they care about adding more Benny's cars that will be worth equal to or somewhat less than the Elegy when people are only duping the Elegy anyway? Your basic argument doesn't hold up to scrutiny. The real reason they've moved on from Benny's is that this game is infected with the Disease of the New and Flashy. Benny's is old, adding more cars to it won't bring back a huge number of players who stopped playing (unless they are a bunch of tuners, which at least gets into a far less explored area than lowriders). And of course if they can also extract more money from you by doing something different, they probably will. I wouldn't put it past them to add a Benny's-esque tuner garage that you have to personally buy to gain access to, all for the low, low price of 2 million and up (depending on location and upgrades). This kind of thinking is how Rockstar works. Yeah they don't want people duping, but not adding more Benny's cars isn't going to do a damn thing to stop duping of the Elegy.

 

And to add to this theyve added a anti dupe system to combat duping. They even added a daily sale limit for non dup vehicles. That was to combat folks who did buy everything for free glitches. Plus glitchers are the minority in this game. Lately theyve been kinda easy and solo but most require another person to execute.

heck even 2 new 90's tuner cars for benny would be awesome.

 

i would ofcourse prefer more but it would still be better then transform races 2 or whatever.

If they want people moving on to other games until the next DLC then they should make Transform Races the main dlc theme.

Weaponized vehicles is usually used to describe meme mobiles or DIY vehicles (AKA goofy vehicles), rather than military vehicles (helis, tanks, etc.).

I agree. Its the militarized vehicles that are usable and useful.

Cars are useless unless you want to just drive around, in wich you can use one of the hundred already in the game.

 

That being said, i dont want any weaponized vehicles being op, i think its good to have weapons but dont make them too strong, focus more on defense.

 

I think the coolest vehichles are the barrage and the akula, because they arent too op and the barrage has a lot of customization.
