Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 5)

There are lots of people hoping for a Naval DLC, but I must bring something to the table. The addition of an in-game submarine (if that ever comes to pass) indicates that there will be another 'aerial strike' thing in-game, too. Submarines usually launch nukes or missiles so good luck to everyone in dodging that...

I honestly don't think we'll get a submarine. At least, not a submarine MOC. If we do get a submarine, it would probably be a midget submarine with torpedoes, like the British x-class. (Please, R*? I'd love an x-class.. maybe make it faster than the stromberg?) It's honestly inconceivable to me how a submarine MOC would work, and actually be useful. I don't think you have to worry about another orbital cannon, either. (Fwiw, I haven't ever seen one used in freeroam.)

True, but a smaller submarine wouldn't really be that useful. Underwater combat isn't something that R* explores (unless you count the Stromberg, but I think it only has missiles just to be like the Lotus in The Spy Who Loved Me). Perhaps that's just the way I see it.

Its a possibility, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

 

 

Yes Benny died from a condition called Dupesis. it was an illness where every time he customized a car he would see it again 30 times and it was driving him crazy.

On a side note, I believe Pegasus is dead as well.

 

We haven't had a new Pegasus vehicle since F&F came out almost 2 years ago*. Sure, we got the Lazer with SR, but it has been in the game for almost 4½ years.

With all the talk about new Benny's vehicles I feel I should inform everyone that there will never be another Benny's vehicle again. The dupe glitch is why.

Please stop talking out of your ass. First, there is no dupe glitch - there are dozens, one or two new ones a week usually. And second, introducing more Benny's cars wouldn't change a thing because dupers mostly dupe the same car over and over anyway. If they release new ones with lower mod values than the Elegy Retro Custom, no one will bother duping them anyway.

There's been too many good event weeks recently for this to NOT be a good update, and not a sh*tty one like SV races. 25% bonus on crates, then the rebate, then MC bonuses and double Hangar, now double Bunker..... and hopefully double I/E next week.

I don't really consider the NSX a tuner. I think it belongs in the Sports Classics class with cars like the Diablo, Testarossa, etc.

It's a Japanese sports car from the same era as the A80 Supra & FD RX7 people here have been begging for, it have a big aftermarket presence & a cult following ... Just like the Supra & RX7.

 

Kinda odd to exclude it from the other two.

 

 

Tuner is used vaguely here anyway. Some people think about Tuners when they see a Civic, but it's a much wider than that. R* released the Dubsta 6x6 in INAH after all, so even for them, the term wouldn't be precise and could include a bunch of cars from Civic to muscle cars.

I'd like to see an underground garage that we can pay to expand infinitely. Liked the three levels our office garages have, but infinite. Would be an easy solution to the vehicle storage issue. I'd think it would be part of a business building like the facility or the bunker, considering on it's own it would eliminate the need for any garages.

People still use their yachts' luxury features from time to time, so if mansions had enough in that way, people would certainly still use mansions long after they released. Furthermore, if mansions were, say, attached to exclusive 20-car garages similar to the office garages, people who like to collect cars would definitely shell out to be able to hold a few more when they're at max otherwise. Throw in a heist room and connectivity with the various organization cargo systems, it's ease of life.

 

Nightclubs are a similar story. Players often still visit the Vanilla Unicorn, even when all there is to do there is lose money by throwing it at some (rather sickly) virtual boobs. If nightclubs were to feature minigames like dancing (with PvP, potentially), drinking contests, and other club activities, on top of the potential reuse of the game's other social features. Of course it wouldn't be as popular as players blowing each other up, but there's not nobody who would utilize such a social setting in Online. Give the club a cover charge, make it take players' firearms away, you've got a sense of exclusivity and Rockstar's got a way to monetize it perpetually.

And Nightclubs would be a good way for passive income.

Look how massive our daily fees are for owning everything, even with Bunker and MC stuff shut down! I get charged almost 5k in daily utility charges, and that's over 6k with the Assistant and Mechanic charges tacked on. It wouldn't hurt to have a income that balances that out and earns a bit of profit too. Sure people could AFK in a session, but a day is 40 real life minutes and it'd be more productive to be doing FR stuff like VIP work, I/E, or other stuff with the passive income as a nice bonus.

Shark Cards will have a sweet bonus as well. During the second week we'll get an official announcement/trailer (March 13th or 15th) and 5-7 days later we'll get whatever's coming our way.

Unless they announce the DLC is Special Vehicle Races 2. Nobody will be excited for that.

After watching a bunch of GTA IV videos I just realized that a potential map expansion with Liberty City would be the perfect platform for a Nightclub DLC.

 

As much as that theme would suit Los Santos, it would also make sense to put a large portion of such a DLC into Liberty City. Not only would it be a homage to The Ballad of Gay Tony but also something to actually partake in within the new city/map. I don't think R* would bother with creating a lot of new work modes/missions. I imagine some dynamic CEO-type stuff in free-mode like we already have, but not much else beyond that (contact missions or whatever).

 

Nightclubs, however, are just perfect for that city with the Star Junction area and all that. From high-life clubs in Algonquin to hipster clubs in Broker to shady underground bars in Bohan and southern Alderny.

 

 

It's 6 am here and I haven't slept yet. Just brainstorming and having wishful thinking.

I always thought it will be a new addition to customizing vehicles. But seems like it's just a "random and unique" cars like Hermes and Yosemite...

first, I am not talking out my ass. second, read your words "there is no dupe glitch - there are dozens", the second part of that sentence implies that there is indeed a dupe glitch, making the first part invalid. but I digress, there are not dozens of dupe glitches, there is one, it is the same method for each of the cars, in other words you can use the same dupe glitch on more than one vehicle. third, of course people still dupe the elegy, it is the only one worth it, and R* can not fix the glitch without removing the vehicles affected themselves. fourth, they won't add another Benny's car even if the value is less than the elegy because why even give a glitcher the possibility to do it again. fifth, with all the new cars with Benny's level of customization in LS Customs there is no need to add another Benny's vehicle.
