Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 5)

Completely random and off topic. Has anyone else heard of this replay technique used for missions, heists, and even setups? Apparently something like the pac stand thing, Some group claims to hold the original recipe, that the public has it all wrong, and once you know it, it works for any mission you desire to repeat over and over.. Idk figured i'd ask.

lol I don't think Take Two has any limits. Over the last 4-5 years, I've heard heavy talk about the alien invasion. Mainly based off the legends of underground reptilian city beneath L.A, Battle of Los Angeles in WW2, and Project Blue Beam. All bases of inspiration for our aliens in game. Who knows, if they do it correct like doomsday, should be fun.

it could be that the guy made his own version of what he thinks it could be.

 

he most likely knows about all this naval talk and then ofcourse like a lot of people assumes that it is the next dlc 100% so he believes we will get 2 special power flying boats because in 2017 every big update had a flying vehicle of some sort.

If it is full of meme cars that have rocket engine and fly, with an option to put missiles in the MOC/Avenger, Id say it will be a good sign for me to move on from GTA. I do not like the direction the series is taking and I don't want to see it completely go down and burn...

if doomsday is your definition of correct dlc then RIP, they might aswell release a "PUBG mechanics " update that "improves desync, gameplay unresponsiveness, adds a revolutionary "frustration mechanic to all movement and actions, making them laggy and unresponsive", adds choppy graphics" and you would call it correct...

 

edit: as for what you said about limits, I am with you, money is the limit, I am starting to think more and more that Leslie was way too important for R*, he would'ive sailed the gta:o ship to as great if not better revenue than they had without ruining gameplay/balance/gfx/ etc.

tbh i don't mind if future updates bring this stuff back but not before we get the other requested stuff/themes.

 

that's why i'm more "scared" then hyped for the march update,because i fear it will be the same theme yet again.

 

naval,IAA,f*cking aliens or whatever are all kinda the same thing we had in 2017 so IF they realy want to add that stuff,fine but atleast bring out 2 or 3 updates with other player types in mind before that.

you're pretty slow if you need to wait for another dlc to move on from the online clusterf*ck, doomsday was my last straw, they took the very fun concept of heists and sodomised all over it with freeroam crate type of cancerous chores, impossible AI in missions and sh*tting over their very own work and that of a very dedicated community with the jetpack.

Fair enough, that actually makes your POV make more sense to me now, I wish I would do the same, but lovely r* put these shiny new achievements that we have to complete if we we're to want to do 100%, I keep postponing my 100% progress because I don't know if the next set of updates will have achievements and I want to bury these new achievements deep in the steam list, that's why I have about 20 SP achievements locked still.

 

Me talking about achievements aside, wouldn't car mods scratch your itch for cars? Granted the quality of free mods varies there are a lot of cars that match/surpass gta vanilla ones.

if you really think GTAO is going to be favored more than RDR2 once it's released, you are retarded. RDR2 will be just as much as a money grab as gta is. This game needs to end in general, 5 years going is long enough. and yes, the Gta obsessed people just have to get over it. The fact they added the Enterprise pack, slightly hints an end coming. I wouldn't mind mansions with the drip feed being more updated cars from the base game like a newer Mustang, Charger, Challenger, etc.

I agree with you there. I'm kind of a sceptical person so I don't straight out believe everything I hear or see but some people have a tendency to believe almost everything without using some kind of logical thinking so no wonder why so many rumors floating around.. Lol

I wonder if any of the cut content that was found in the game files a while back could have a shot of returning for this update, maybe even being its foundation.

 

That could explain the relatively late QABeta updating while also giving the possibility of less updates to that branch being needed. In turn, allowing this update to drop as soon as the 13th.

 

Since it's stuff that went relatively deep in development, as far back as being found in a comprehensive state in the game's code, it may not even need that much testing.

your logic is as solid as a coffee machine dispenser coffee cup, you wouldn't think R* would prefer 1. have an already made game, already very popular with no signs of dying in terms of numbers, ready made platform at this point, continue to make small time updates to it with great monetary gains, basically what someone else said some pages back as a game as a service; but you would think that they would rather 2. try to kill this behemont over an IP that is nowhere near as recognisable as a brand as GTA, that could very possibly be limited to consoles only again, that clearly appeals and caters to a much more limited audience?

I would hope so, but given how much content they cut from whatever doomsday was supposed to be as a singleplayer DLC I doubt it. Still, they did bring scuba gear in online after 4 years or so, so you never know

At this point I couldnt care less about SP DLC. All Ive seen of Michael, Trevor and Franklin for the past 3 or 4 years or so is when their mo-cap gets interrupted by me joining Online. I dont think Id play it, let alone pay for it.

Dont get me wrong, I loved TBoGT and TLaD, but it was different then.

Id certainly enjoy an Alien invasion update, or a Zombie apocalypse one. But we really wouldnt need more weaponized or over-the-top vehicles to feel at home in that setting, theres already plenty to choose from.

Just imagine Los Santos in thick clouds, every NPC being a raging zombie like in Undead Nightmare, players actually having a reason to team up and rely on each others help to fight off the hordes.. I mean, ideally.. but I get that it might be wishful thinking.

Sure, the DD heists were over-the-top. I dont know how we went from being bikers, smugglers and car thieves to rescuing the world from annihilation. But having said that, I enjoyed the heists (except the tedious prep jobs at times, naturally). I enjoyed the gunplay, the shootouts and that it allowed us to play them in groups of 2 rather than 4. Especially combined with the snowfall during the holidays, it felt fresh and exciting in a way that GTAO hasnt felt for me in a long time.

I dont get the same feeling thinking about what a tuners update would bring. Id prefer an Alien invasion any day of the week.

Sure, I want mansions, map expansion, tuners and naval stuff too, but Im just giving my point of view here. I also hope that well see more leisure activities, less meme vehicles (enough of those for a good while) and lots of other stuff as well. Im definitely not done with GTAO yet.

Sorry about this not exactly being a speculative post on the upcoming DLC, but I wanted to add my perspective to the discussion. Looking forward to the next update whenever it drops

Racing DLC is not a bad ideea.I hope they don't do the Doomsday Heist special vehicle like you said that will suck too much...Instead a racing DLC is a perfect ideea after those military updates...And some garage expansions at Office won't be bad
