Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 5)

Hello, fellas.
I came to Foxy, found his summer calendar and edited it to the current situation.

As you can see, I checked on steam the last two years and added first qabeta updates and filled the calendar till the end with all updates + counted possible 91 days until next DLC.

What did I mention? There is almost always a gap of 3-4 weeks of testing before DLC release (for big updates). Min. is 2 weeks for small updates (Cunning Stunts 2: Special Vehicles). Also, every year we got updates in mid of March. But it's kinda strange that we still didn't see the beginning of testing qabeta branch which supposed deadline was this week (according to the previous year and min.2 weeks before release)...

I see three ways:
a) The update will not come on Tuesday, 13th and will come later... (March, 20?)
b) The update will be released on Tuesday, 13th but will be very small and not with something new.
c) R* have private tests, a Big update will be released on Tuesday, 13th. Unexpected.

Really want to see them do something with the content creator. They'll need to shift more dev resource to RDR2 and GTA VI - it's the perfect time to facilitate more user generated content.

It's not based on anything, he's just been wishlisting that the next update be military (again) and posting incoherent stuff about lester being a soldier.

 

So basically like 80% of this thread now, including the kid who spams sides full of images and the one who thinks he´s getting attention for some conspiratorial texts? God what has this thread become.

Yes, an update that doesn't add something new entirely, but one that improves the things we already have. More functions for yachts, businesses, CEO OFfice customization, MC Clubhouse customization add-ons, adding new mods to existing cars that needs them (Topless, spoiler removal for example).

 

It would seem Take Two/R* thinks since you can't "sell" bug fixes and improvements to existing content; you giving them a lower priority.

 

But you don't have to--they'll sell themselves.

 

One of the best DLC "features" in GTA Online that garnered rave applause was simply allowing players to filter the icons on the mini-map.

 

We need more of that kind of approach in future DLCs.

Funny how haters keep mentioning him when all they really do is promote him. If everyone would just never mention him again he would just die off.

 

Ontopic: I hope to see some announcement today, I still have hopes for March 6. Those double money and MC boosts got to mean someting also along with the rebate.

 

If there is no news I might just quit GTA for a while, got enough cash and no new vehicles = boring.

I think R* is slowly adding more customizations.. I mean, offices only have, like, 6 schemes right? Or is it 9? (Bunkers went backwards, ik.) then, hangars had either the same number, or more, but you could change the lighting too, plus the style of the office/bedroom.. and facilities feel like there's a lot more yet. Maybe we'll get lucky, but idk.

Yachts had a lot more customization but could still be improved by being able to change type of wood for the deck. Same with offices really. I would die for more customization really. Could improve shark card sales, too heh

The fact that GTAO is playing in 2017 (Agent 14 said it in a phonecal) would be the time to finish all the construction on the map. Even that would be enough for me as an update.

They found an archeological artifact in the site. Work is stopped until they are sure they aren’t disturbing anything else.

 

They actually can’t replace the building with a complete one. All the external stuff they added (Bunker entrances, Facility elevators) are added props. They’d have to drop an overlay prop around he whole building and it would still have the construction building underneath it (and the complete building would be missing in missions, AND some events happen inside the construction site)

To be honest the lack of QABeta update means very little. Everyone knows we are getting an update in March. The question is when in March.

Speaking of customization and construction, it would be nice if they had a McGill-Olsen website, where you could pay a fee to gain access to more in-depth customization for your offices, safe houses, apartments, garages, bunkers, facilities, and hangars.. I'll expand on this later, but I'm at work on break and don't have a lot of free time to type.

Maybe a new event week? But I still believe that the new dlc won't be announced until thursday the 8th
