Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 5)

Whatever it is - there's a good change that we will get something similar to a treasure hunt. It was very well reserved and it's relatively easy to make. They can port something from RDR2 and create another hunt even in a last moment.

Imagine if they resolved the loose alien thread from SP/Gunrunning with a slightly longer, more complex hunt of that nature. The prize? A UFO with no weapons, but let's you abduct red dot players and drop them from the top of the skybox. Heck, even an unarmed Zancudo UFO would be amazing. Yep, I'm serious, if you don't agree say your piece so I can ignore it.

Updating the creator with the DH vehicles and adding a small, fresh dripfeed would probably require less testing and even approval time from the consoles/steam. I'm still betting the March update will be something akin to this.

but the way they have been handing out money the last couple of weeks not to mention that random mill people seem to be getting could suggest otherwise. altough that's more a tinfoil hat argument.

 

p.S i just got a random 420k gift aswell and it was not the rebate (i think).

I only logged in yesterday and got 258k. Guessing the 250k was supposed to be the tax refund and that other cash from the rebate (all I spent my money on was ammo lol.) didnt get that 1.3m tho

It's a shame GTA V/O hasn't been made to be at least just a little bit racing oriented

 

Its to arcade ish/Saints row like to make racing fun to begin with. Thats why racing was doomed from the start.

Arcade racers have a long and glorious history. There's nothing wrong with the driving except that it doesn't satisfy purists (i.e. it's a matter of taste). The problems with racing lie elsewhere: bad default settings in Rockstar-created races; bad mechanics, especially catch-up and slipstream; too many bad tracks and not enough good ones; and the most unsolvable one, a community that largely doesn't care about racing and would rather troll.

Nicely put. Although I must say I don't have anything against arcade racing, futhermore, it's often times more fun bacause it gives the creator needed apace to exaggerate and implement numerous aspects into the driving mechanism. R* did nothing in that regards, except what game allows you by default; crazy stunts.

I dunno, but even GTA SA implements that aspect of driving where you can actually drift around the corners, and that's why I scratch my head in this regard, driving mechanics seems downgraded in comparison to 10 years older game..

and yes that is a sound theory...that they are working on the next dlc already...especially since qabeta was updated a month after Doomsday heists was released

 

however....R* could be having issues with both Sony and Microsoft with the next DLC as well....making me believe that we may not be getting one this march

ofcourse they are already working on the next dlc. these things don't get made in just a few days. that's not a theory but common sense.

 

i'm prety sure that they work on multible updates at the same time.

the indication is that the qabeta hasn't been updated yet...and they need approval of Microsoft and Sony to allow it to happen...until that happens qabeta won't be updatedPretty sure that Sony and most likely Microsoft/xbone have nothing to do with qabeta updates so it's not needed with approval from them to update the qabeta..

I also think that most things go through their approval system anyway so that shouldn't be a problem, if they were semi strict with their approval the last bf1 update wouldn't have gone through..

what's wrong with the bf1 update? This isn't the place to talk about it but to keep it short they had to release a patch this Monday because the game was unplayable for a large portion of the playerbase

honestly if qabeta doesn't get updated by the end of next week...there won't be a DLC in march...unless the DLC is ready to go and that qabeta update from two months ago is the new DLC and they were still testing it and the qabeta 2 updates are for that new dlc and they won't announce it till release

I think the gunrunning trailer was released at like 6pm EST, I could be thinking of a different trailer though

My best guess is it's either a mistake on R*'s part (wouldn't be the first time re: free GTA$) or simply a way of trying to motivate players to spend more time online ("loyalty" might be rewarded with GTA$).

Yes they literally do it all the time. Players randomly recieve $200k usually. There are some topics around the forum about it.

I'm guessing the revolver treasure hunt isn't going to be the only one. These kind of campaigns will drive gtao players into rdr. Many of us are a guaranteed sell, but the ones on the fence will be driven by the treasure hunts and other interactive marketing ploys.

As long as they're not holding our hands like the revolver one... I knew exactly where my first clue was, yet they highlight it with an idiot proof circle on the map. It was fun, but not challenging at all.
