So to enjoy an online multiplayer game "my way," I have to learn to lag myself out of sessions and not play with other players. Is that the gist of your suggestion?

 

Realism is not my primary concern. I know GTA isn't realistic. But it has an established aesthetic and theme that is hard to see now when buried under an avalanche of military hardware, orbital strikes and meme cars. Especially when the people who love those things are constantly hassling everyone.

thats not necessarily what i meant. I dont know your playstyle, my point was the game sets it up for how YOU want to play it and how YOU want to deal with it.

Just go into a solo pub lobby and drive your skyline through a leisurely ride, stop at stoplights, and following street laws. its all up to you about how realistic you want it to be my dude.

Defeating the entire purpose of playing an Online game in the first place while you're at it; GTA IV MP managed to be consistent with the tone set by the singleplayer and I'd take the street gunfights and hanging out of the side of cars to fire at people any day over being nuked by some guy across the map. then again there was really no clear objective in gta 4. Just f*ck around and have fun.

Hopefully it's a 50/50 split lol. Everyone can have something they want. Good vibes, live and let live, etc.

 

No such thing as live and let live when the weaponized vehicles fly and have homing missiles. Let's not kid ourselves. The number of players who won't blast away when their Deluxo locks onto a random car are a slim minority.

I'm not the biggest fan of meme vehicles. I'm not one of the main contributors the Oppressor hate and ridicule thread for nothing. I like actual military vehicles; specifically attack helicopters (bet no one guessed that).

 

I don't really see what the kind of vehicles I like would do to possibly make the game any less live and let live than it is. Honestly, the most powerful vehicle overall is probably still the Lazer. There are good alternatives, but I don't see much that's massively more powerful than that.

 

Most of what I'd like isn't even vehicles anyway. I'd like tweaks, like removing insurance, buffing bombs, that kind of thing. More vehicles - I'd love them (well, not meme ones or DIY), but I'm not going to make demands.

 

I don't see why people shouldn't want whatever vehicles they want anyway. I don't see anyone saying the next update has to be Smuggler's Run 2, or saying they hope no one else gets the vehicles they want - just the odd "oh a carrier would be cool", or "Savage Custom would be nice".

 

On that topic, I wouldn't mind some kind of land-based radar jamming vehicle. Could work well together with a Chernobog, or you could have someone drive it alongside cargo - or maybe you just want to be off the map.

did you buy a shark card recently? From what ive heard, most players receiving this bought a shark card not too long ago. I had a 150% bonus cash with a shark card so i bought the 1.2 mil one. I got my 1.8 mil the next day, and just the other day, i received another 1.8 mil.

but no one talks about the possibility of some passive "get away vehicles"

 

- vehicles with extra armor (now that everything has rockets it makes sense)

- vehicles with temporary offradar

- vehicles with countermeasures

 

example? jumping Kaufman Cab with extra armor and bulletproof windows

 

 

or maybe a stealth suit that lets you go offradar but you can only use melee weapons

I would love to see the forum reaction to highly requested vehicles f*cked up like that. Calling it now: Dominator Classic comes with tank treads, a rocket booster and driver operated cannon on the roof

 

On Topic, I still think theyll release a stealth jet, and i think it'll either be the iconic F-117 or the modern F-22, technically the F-22 is in the game but as a statue outside the military based, those jets appear to be F-22 based, correct me if im wrong, and knowing rockstar theyll mash F-117 and A-10 and ruin it

Reading is fundamental, i said i would love to see the reactions, also just imagine, a vehicle you guys want, memeified, that would be hilarious, thats rockstar at it's peak, the game is resembling twister metal more than saints row imo

and to everyone complaining about weaponized vehicles - do you rly think that if we gonna get lets say... 10 DLCs without weaponized vehicles that would change ANYTHING? Nope! It would just mean it stays the same...

 

This game still has weaponized vehicles. Trolls would be still use 1 of 5 vehicles to troll you (instead of 1 of 20 different ones).

 

 

The only thing that changes is the variety and the ability to counter them in new different ways. I'm actually glad that now if I see a troll/grifer/kiddo/tryhard I can pick how to counter him

 

his going after me with deluxo or oppressor? = I can counter him with Hunter / Jetpack / explosive rounds

 

his going after me with a Jet? I can use explosive rounds / Pyro / Avenger.

 

 

If we didn't had all those? It would be just like before - Jet grifers all day everyday.

 

 

I don't have problem with those. What I have problem with? Those cheap R* tricks like Orbital cannons.

I try to rationalize "the fine DLC line" with what's possible/plausible in real life.

 

I've been guilty of wanting Blue Thunder--which, yes, is a movie helicopter--but the technology behind it is not only 100% possible (other than the weight of the chopper), but rather old now.

 

i.e. Instead of a Deluxo, my idea of a flying car is this (below). Clearly NOT OP, exists in real life, 100% plausible:

I think GTA took a wrong turn with the over the top weaponized vehicles, especially sh*t like the deluxo and oppresors.... I hope GTA 6 takes a more realistic approach. I think it should had focused on actual weaponized military vehicles instead of gimmicky sh*t. How easy it is to spawn anything that can fly takes away from the experience of driving through the city and learning quick routes or cool chases in alleys and sh*t like in the beginning of GTA V. Like sh*t, even sports car and supercars are better off-roaders than the vehicles that are meant for offroading.

What I want, at least some of the time, is to play an online game that resembles a multiplayer version of classic GTA gameplay: showing off cool cars, doing drive-bys, selling drugs, robbing stores, and engaging in street shootouts. And I want to do these things without worrying about a fighter jet, tank, attack helicopter or flying car ramming missiles up my poor Manana's tailpipe. In short, my playstyle is completely incompatible with what GTA Online has become. Never more so than after the Doomsday update and now every fifth motherf*cker I see is in a Deluxo, flying around and nuking people.

I don't have a problem with military vehicles, they have existed since the classic GTA, just make them hard to obtain, and not so easy to access like f*cking spawning it next to you by making a phone call. Make it that you have to drive to the middle of no where, in a secret bunker or some type of sh*t to pick up your secret stolen military vehicle.

No one uses the water because there's nothing to do. You're not making much of a case here. If an ocean-based update added more stuff to do out there - especially if some of it generated decent amounts of money - people would use it.

You should receive your rebate by March 6. iirc so there's still time, haven't received mine yet either
