Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 5)

Looks like we might be getting a map expansion after all...

 

The bridge photo that LegitLeaks posted on twitter is a Japanese/Chinese Moon Bridge. The Jade Bell Bridge at the Summer Palace in Beijing to be exact. The Moon Bridge Wikipedia page shows a similar bridge at the Japanese Tea Garden in the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.

One is a picture is of a bridge that looks like something in San Francisco.

The only rational conclusion is that we're getting San Francisco. (Sarcasm)

I've checked and it's a stat.

They don't have to release the Hermes, but I agree it would be awkward seeing that text when it's not out.

They have to announce it at some point.

Wow a free Hermes? It really must be Christmas in GTA. Can't wait for the rest of the vehicles to drop too. I think this might be one of my favorite updates vehicle-wise.

 

Probably the best vehicle selection since 2015, IMO - and this is why people were so excited for a full Hipster 2 update.

 

Just a shame that we're only getting the cars, lumped in with a third consecutive Gunrunning-style update - if this had indeed been Hipster 2 through-and-through, we'd have had better clothes, maybe some more interesting (less ridiculous and Freemode-destroying) gameplay additions, etc.

 

 

Hopefully R* notices that people do want more of the less flashy, more subtly interesting stuff - stuff that's less 'GET HYPED!', more about letting players get creative. That, IMO, is ultimately what GTA is all about - it's a sandbox, not a theme park!

Not doubting you, but what makes you think this over them just going through the San Andreas Super Autos list by Christmas and then using the Legendary Motorsport vehicles in the following weeks?

You can doubt me, it's ok, I am just coming up with theories anyways. Why? Because I think the Hermes and Hustler are going to be released at the same time. Hermes is on SSASA, so theoretically all the vehicles before it should be released by the time it is released, or at the same time. The Hustler is on Legendary Motorsport, same goes for it. Both vehicles are 2nd to last on their respective sites. So I think it is possible all vehicles aside from the Comet and Kamacho will be released for Christmas, then those two will come soon after, before snowfall at New Year.

 

Basically I am hinging all of this on the thought that the Hustler and Hermes will release together. I am probably holding onto that because the Slamvan and Rat Truck released together years ago.

...oh, goodness - I just realised why R*'s releasing the Hermes as the free Christmas vehicle:

Now I'm wondering if the limited-time Xmas decals listed in the files are actually for the Hermes, and not something like the MOC/Avenger (like the MOC Independence Day ones)...

I was actually going to buy the Hermes too, yay! Tank, Akula, Deluxo, Thruster and Stromberg drained my bank a lot so I appreciate the extra money I get to save up. lol

Anyway I actually think that INaH 2 maybe still coming. Counting all non luxury and military vehicles (with exeption of Deluxo) from Doomsday DLC and Rapid GT Classic and Retinue it gives us 12 vehicles. It would be enough to fit separate small DLC, buto keep in mind that it was meant to be Christmas update and they are always huge (at least 25+ cars). I'm not losing the hope for it. And even if it was scrapped and remains of it would be scattered around as a dripfeed, I hope that R* will see positive feedback and we will see INaH 2 someday...

You can two wheel it so hard... doesn't make much sense, and I think it's an unwanted side effect of the bags.The Primo I love two wheeling and I feel it suits that car and maybe it was intentional for that, they never "fixed" it so I'm grateful. I do hope they fix it with the Hermes tho cause two wheeling a led sled is kinda dumb and also not very controllable like the Primo, it just kinda goes barrel rolling off the road in corners sometimes lmao

I'm sittin ghere hoping the Hermes actually gets a bit deformed if you crash too hard with it. It really irks me how some of the newer cars can tumble down Mt Chiliad, ram into 9 trees in the process, get run over by sixt eight Insurgents, and still only appear to have a slight scratch. Meanwhile you hit a wall slightly too hard with the Mamba, it is pretty much ruined.

 

And I want the latter, dammit! A clean car contains a driver who can actually drive.

Guessing it'll be the same deal as last year: new vehicle and Xmas stuff (trees, seasonal clothes, etc.) on Tunable Tuesday, then snow and probably another vehicle by the weekend.

 

Last year, we had the Nero variants and the Xmas stuff on Tuesday 20th, then the Comet Retro and the snow on Friday 23rd - hence why I'm presuming Tuesday 19th for something like the Sentinel Classic, then something else on either Friday 22nd or Saturday 23rd (probably Friday).

Im thinking the same, next tuesday we should get something, and if they are still keeping SSASA webpage order, they should release at least the Sentinel Classic and the Streiter before Xmas if they want to give us the Hermes for free and keep the order in an eventual release next friday (but with R*, who knows xp)

Bit early in the day to run a patch on the elegy dupe too. WeirdMaybe is just fixing some bugs or glitches, like the bug with the Act 3 Finale where you couldnt start it. Hopefully is something interesting...
