So.. it seems fairly obvious the new radio station was supposed to be apart of INAH2,talk of hipsters in mirror park and eating avocados etc,my guess is also that a huge chunk of the cars that came with doomsday update were intended for hipsters2. Could this mean the dlc concept was scrapped all together.. or just giving us a taste of whats to come next up?

Or that leaker was simply passing through the office and notices some old cars so he though "well looks like they are working on INAH2"

 

or they are work on something first and later they decide when to release it. I guess they figured it would be better to slip it up, add couple cars with GR/SR and then the rest with DH, just before xmas.

Also,correct me if im wrong.. but didn't that R* guy say in that interview not even 2 months ago that more heists wouldn't be happening again due to it being a dev nightmare? A new way of developing them maybe,might mean we will see even more in the future.

"dev nightmare" actually means "We won't focus on PVE story missions with cutscreens and voice actors and scripts cause that takes to much time and costs money. Why would we focus in heists if we want to sell more Shark Cards?" The strategy for online is "least effort=biggest profits". Thats why for 4 years they are mostly focusing on copypasting crate run businesses and reusing assets and interiors from Single Player.

They could easily add new VIP missions and supply runs with every dlc (or simply update them). But in the long game that would mean less sharcards sold cause people have fun ways to make money.

 

Yes, they might had some problems with creating Heists part 1 (thats why they delayed it for so long) but after that? Everything was in place. They could copypast those mechanics the same way they copypasted freeroam businesses.

 

The only real reason why we haven't seen new heists before now - Shark Cards. Same reason thy they abandoned Single Player dlc...

 

Heck, I speculate the only reason we got this Doomsday heist in the first place was cause it was meant for SP and it was half way done by the time they changed their mind about SPdlc. Now after 4 years, after they run out of assets to recycle they are starting to use that scraped unreleased content.

 

I think they have found a more efficient way to create them compared to the 4 heists we got in 2014. I'm only guessing this by file sizes. Heists was just over 4GB on PS4; this recent update was half the size and although lacking a 4th act to match the 4 original heists, a lot more seems to go on during Doomsday Heists compared to the original heists bringing it on par. Also a lot more vehicles than Heists were/will be added - so they've definately found a way to reduce file sizes but add just as much content.

Lol, or simply because this dlc is not as big as original heists? They had to change a lot of things then but now 'framework' is already in place. Now they added just couple interiors and the story.

 

I'm pretty sure original heists gave us a lot more.

The way new Heists came out despite what that guy said opens the possibility for a Tuners update of some sort, despite his words about it "not interesting us that much" and that Lowriders were the closest thing. Fingers crossed.

That's not s good deal at all. Ffs they should've doubled the shark card income for all cards permanent.

 

Any speculation/ hints/ educated guesses on the dlc roadmap/ follow-up? Because it seems Mach is right about the duration of the dripfeed.

based on this last update, a naval destroyer isn't that far off tbh

 

But tbh, I'd much rather a civil vessel, no guns, no stupid weaponry, only the guns what you have on you, and the ability to go out fishing for example, then having the ability to sell your catch, maybe even some drug smuggling missions on the side... but that's just in my own option.

Maybe the "leakers" got told it was going to be Hipsters 2 then Rockstar changed their minds a few months ago and combined both updates for this one mega update. Nobody saw any cars, at least I don't think anyone did.
