Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 5)

I'm still torn on a nautical update. More watercraft would be cool, but unless the payout for whatever business you run is really good. I see it being like smugglers run drawn out supply missions and sell missions that just aren't worth it.

We are sitting ducks carrying boxes and other things too in slow vehicles on land.. it wouldn't be that different.. also who does supplies in filled sessions?, you just have to go look for an emptier one.

Even if they released both tomorrow and that the update is the 12th, I don't think anyone would be mad to have nothing else but the trailer on the 5th. I mean, I hope it's the 5th, but the 12th would do.

we already have enough businesses, is making money the only thing that makes a property worth it? the answer is no, if we got a boathouse, business or not, I would buy it just to store and customize watercraft, same reason I bought my hangar

You add a patrol boat like the Mark VI that can take a strafe from a Hydra, and shoot back with an auto cannon, or homing missiles, people are going to avoid you.

 

Same reason people running missions in Insurgents or APCs don't get picked on much in free roam; going after a hard target isn't worth it for most players.

My final speculation of the next few weeks...

 

Tomorrow (28th) - Lazer and Creator

 

December 7th or 8th - Trailer/Announcemnt

 

December 12th - New Update

I wouldn't be mad with that either. I feel like they would release it on the 12th just so it is fresher coming up to Christmas and the special content for that. But with the way they do things now the 5th just starts the drip feed sooner, and I'm sure it will last past Christmas.

Playing nothing but NFS Payback for the last couple of weeks has made me want a Midnight Club/Tuners/Street Racing update even more.

 

INAH2 seems to be what's next according to the leakers but I'm still holding out for the former.

 

Need this announcement like right now.

this, also as I stated before, just do what you would do for a slow truck sale, get crew member's to escort you in jets

I agree with you there, that's the only reason I have my hangar now as well. So having a place to just store and modify boats would be cool. I know R* will most likely add a business with it and I just don't see that part of it being worth it. Specially for any solo players like me most of the time.

I know R* will most likely add a business with it and I just don't see that part of it being worth it. Specially for any solo players like me most of the time.

 

It just depends on how they handle it really.

 

Smuggler's Run had terrible payout, though I did enjoy the challenge of the missions.

 

If its another buy supplies, sell supplies business, then yeah I would agree with you. They could always do another I/E business with boats. Pirate a boat, upgrade it, sell it for decent money. Or do something different entirely.

 

It all comes down to R* to make it profitable.

See, that's why I voted for that in the poll - I'm confident that INAH2 is what'll be next, considering Yan's track record, so I'm looking towards the next update after that.

 

I don't imagine that there'll be an overwhelming number of tuners or similar this time (unless we're lucky) - and even then, maybe just one or two. But like with the Elegy Retro, or the Rapid GT Classic, whatever R* does/doesn't do this time will at least be able to help gauge how much they 'get' it, and what we might need to prioritise in terms of feedback.

 

 

(I was actually planning on doing something akin to 'Bikers Unite', but for custom cars, better Freemode gameplay, all under the one theme, but then the INAH2 talk started and I figured 'wait and see what happens with that' - as soon as the first info drops about December's update, though, I'm going to fire up the propaganda machine again... )

I wish for an app on my personal smart phone which allows me to check and buy my business supplies.

I would love a phone app where I could look up what my businesses are doing.

 

It's the reason I moved both my characters MC clubhouses from the country to the city near their offices. It's just more convenient when wanting to check the progress out.

What if the GTA franchise is exclusively multiplayer from now on like World of Warcraft with regular free updates (like the DLCs we have right now) and big paid updates every 5 years (map expansions) with micro transactions being shark cards.

 

 

And of course a graphic upgrade for every new gen of console.

I dunno - can you get any more vulnerable than the Post OP vans? Those were ridiculously vulnerable back in their day - but now, they're just insane. Everything locks onto them too.

 

Watercraft could have some toys on them to deal with aircraft too.

 

All that said, I don't think it'll be the next DLC. If the leakers give a vibe of hipsters, then hipsters is what it'll probably be.

That is why I voted for Tuners/StreetRacing coz I want to buy quadraple Liberty Walk or RocketBunny car specs on Benny's Shop or make the Pegassi Tempesta or Vacca to Liberty Walk. The only 1 I see in Online tuned in by Liberty walk was that Dewbauchee Specter custom.
