New MkII guns are exciting me more and more as I mull them over. Yes they'll be expensive, and the research will inevitably be a nightmare, but it beats no new guns. I'm a believer that guns are as vital to add to a GTA game as cars and new missions/modes are. I have a suspicion that we won't see any more non MkII guns on the walls of Ammunation, which is a shame as I would love a flamethrower as well as a bunch more melee weapons.

If you look closely at the side skirt just in front of the rear wheel, you can see the wing's outline. I think it just hadn't deployed in that image.

That's one of my big frustrations by this thing basically 'weaponised Heists' - Gunrunning and Smuggler's Run (and frankly, Import/Export before them) were ...pretty ****ing terrible on the character customisation front. That's why something like Hipster 2 was looking so promising - a chance for decent clothes, a nice selection of various everyday cars for a change, that sort of thing.

 

Instead? It boils down to looking at all the promo material, seeing what isn't there, and trying to fill the blanks by naïvely ignoring R*'s track record for the past ...year. Odds aren't good that this is going to be the update that turns that ship around, unfortunately - and I really hope there's the possibility of 'maybe next year', because it's a big 'F U!' to a whole lot of niches of the community if R* never changes things up.
