They did come the factory in Red, as an option (albeit a very rare one)

I've seen one painted matte black IRL and I wanted to throw up.

 

Matte black? They could take and paint it with paint roller, these savages! It have to be brushed aluminium.

DeLorean's always look best in their stainless steel skin, but glossy colored ones look good. Without spoiling much there IS a blue DeLorean that shows up in the Telltale game (as seen below). Depending on the price, and how the Deluxo turns out I might have to make an entire garage full of bubblegum colored DeLoreans.

Yes I know of the vehicles underwhelming engine (which aside from early factory defects that's really the cars only issue). But that doesn't need to translate to GTA.

 

Not to mention it's pretty much guaranteed to have an Oppressor-like boost system. Begs the question if it will be Sports Classics, Sport, Muscle or .. Super? Probably not though, there's not any Super car in the game that's from the 80's (correct me if I'm wrong).

 

I just hope whatever class it's in, regardless of it's abilities to be used in races, it's at least above average.

Well no one knows yet. But on the artwork we see a version without weapons so I'm hoping that stock will work just like the one from gtaSA

 

but if you upgrade to miniguns or rockets you loose the ability to use your own.

How it is in reality isn't the final say on how it'll be in game anyway. If it was, we wouldn't have a Hind that goes down to snowballs. Or fighter jets that are slower than an Apache.

I actually don't think it'll have a boost, but its hard to say. I'm willing to bet it'll be Sports Classic and i HOPE its available to race, i'd love to race it.
