I believe they will all be mission locked. All the ones we have seen so far anyways.

My money is on them being all available from the start with a higher price. The mission lowers the price.

 

But I could definitely see you being right.

Genuinely hope they are all mission locked, I liked that about the original heists. I also don't want to see 10 jetpacks in a lobby before anyone has played the heist.

 

However, I just can't see R*/T2 passing up on the chance to "monetize our engagement" with the new vehicles through buy it now prices.

So by the time I come back from work at 17pm tomorrow, everyone will have them unlocked because I don't take a day off for a videogame. For me the result will be the same either way.

Isn't the Space Docker an 100% completion-related vehicle? I don't see them releasing this kind of vehicle to everyone if that's the case, specially when it doesn't have any special traits nor would drive shark card sales. I dunno

No, the Space Docker is from collecting all the Space Ship parts in Story Mode. It would not be the first time they have added story mode only vehicles to Online. (Race cars most recently).

 

Just saying it fits the theme of this update.

I'm speculating that they will add an easter egg where if you are in the Deluxo flying during a storm and get struck by lightning, you'll be transported to a Red Dead Redemption 2 demo :p

I agree with you about it fitting the theme, I just thought that releasing it in Online would make this vehicle lose its uniqueness totally. I mean there would be no reason at all to complete the very hard (or boring) task of collecting the parts. But then again this is R* with its own unique logic...

BTW Now we can say we were right with the Kuruma glitch patch having a deeper meaning behind it.

Rockstar wants to limit the money you can make in a thinly veiled attempt to sell more Shark Cards.

 

Theres youre deeper meaning.
