INAH had the best vehicle variety regarding civilian cars when it comes to any GTA update.

Man, I love my Rhapsody. Such fun being bashed about on heists/missions with all those big toys screaming by... Even better when the tits crash in the river and I cruise on by, honking cutely as I do...

 

Blade = Beast... And old gen beast, but she still goes, and the 2 sedans that creamed rally races in their day, man... Great times.

 

Never had room for the Panto or Pigalle, one day though. I hope. That Panto is proper nippy (Essex boy racer here, lol).

 

See, that's just it - everyone can point to a couple of those cars as the ones they like/own, and every time, it's a different answer.

 

For me, it's the Warrener (Day 1 purchase, right there) and Pigalle - and I wouldn't be surprised if I end up adding a Blade to my collection eventually.

 

Same was true of Ill-Gotten Gains - I don't know of anyone who loved everything in those updates, but the majority of folks bought at least one thing from them. Compare that to things like Bikers or Lowriders, where if you don't like that particular style of vehicle, you're out of luck - personally, I reckon updates with a decent amount of variety are a better way to go, because there's more likely something for everyone in there.

Well, technically the Cunning Stunts, but almost all of the vehicoes had no or very little in the way of customization.

ill gotten gains brought a couple of the best classics.

 

stirling gt which is still my nr1. blackfin,chino etc.

 

i hope that the update will have all kinds of classics. from luxurious classics to GT classics and just old cars in general.

 

that way there is a classic for everyone. would suck if it was only very niche stuff.

 

bring on a classic grand tourer that can beat the stirling gt and casco in looks and sound please!

Oh, I absolutely agree here dude, with those older DLC's there was a much more varied choice out there, and these newer cars also more competed with their class too, rather than the newest often dominating too. Or in some cases, like the Glendale/Warrener, even carving out their own niche races too.

 

Plus before the stunt races, there was so many more reasons to own cars like the Warrener, as if you were a keen racer, you just didn't know what car you may be best suited in and when you did, or joined a crew like NODO, where they vary their events so much, you end up with a varied collection.

 

And you didn't have to spend large or grind hard to get these things, some are just so cheap, many cool cars are simply free... My Dominator was an original for me, my 1st car, but the Monroe takes it just because of the time it took to get it, my 1st big luxury, you know?... Never disappointed.

 

Some cars are judged instantly by speed or looks, rather than capability/flexibility, or the player being flexible too. Being so focused on supers/sports cars takes away something magic from racing IMO, that randomness that makes players a better racer, learning all the kinks in the cars and tracks alike.

 

But of coure, this is just me and how I like cars/to race... Totally to each their own. That's why GTA is just so damn good. Everyone can do their thing.

 

Now the pilots/fighters have their stack of toys, lets bring the game back to the streets... Next DLC, I'm happy with a super, but just the one or two... But let it rain with options at Benny's for older cars, like the Dominator, a custom classic, Hmmm... Oh yeah, and a sh*t load of lemons we can bowl around in old skool banger races and get back to street racing again...

 

Maybe a 'Racing for slips DLC'. Where we can only use from a selection of new really cheap cars to race against each other in public, winner gets the car, and it gets stored (if it gets blown up after by the loser, it returns to the winners 'lock-up'), and we keep trying to keep our 'offices/warehouses' full, like collecting crates, but so much better, and then either 'export them' or re-race them... And make them available to be owned and tuned outside of the 'Racing for slips' theme... If that makes any sense?. Keeping the cars we race/risk away from personal collections as to avoid the dark side to gaming.

i hope that the update will have all kinds of classics. from luxurious classics to GT classics and just old cars in general.

New guns, cloths, supercars and mansions? Wholly f*ck this game is so repetitive and predictable.

The best thing we could ever get for this old dumpster fire game littered with microtransactions is a new map like San Fierro or Las Venturas. Nothing compares to that but you know what, I'm don't holding my breath for the day that never comes.

 

I gotta say. It feels so good to (finally) not give a single f*ck about this game anymore. You should try it sometime, it's way better than any DLC.

 

The way i see it is if Rockstar is not going to innovate and provide a new EXPERIENCE in this 4 year old game then it's not worth your time. The last time we had something worth the hype was when we could buy a personal yacht, now that was something we had never seen before. Nowadays the best we can get is ANOTHER RESKIN BUSINESS where some jagoff contact calls you every five seconds to say you need to grind some more. No thanks.

Personally, love the state of things for freemode.

 

Also, this Hunter is so good even my wife can easily get kills while co-piloting the explosive cannon

I gotta get a second controller for this. My GF would make a great co pilot. She actually listens and uses logic, unlike most randoms i get hopping into my co pilot seat (most don't even realize they have a gun only they can use so they end up just sitting and enjoying the ride while I use my rockets to kill everything -_-).

Giving the JB 700 the same kinds of gadgets as in single-player would be one of the few weaponised vehicle concepts that actually makes sense for this game. And it's not like it'd be OP, considering some of the ridiculous things added over the last year...

 

I have a hunch that it makes too much sense, though - bit like how this would be another perfect time to let players buy the Lost Slamvan, so that pretty much guarantees R* won't do that...

Aside from the possibly powerful mounted guns, the rest of the features of the JB700 would be useless. You could maybe get a bit of fun out of the ejector seat but the spike strip is basically useless with bulletproof tires. Unless they allow the spike strip to pop the tires still, which I don't see happening. Might come in handy for police chases I suppose or for lower levels.

 

I'm not saying I'm against the idea, I do like the idea of having a working JB700 but I just don't think it'll be as good as everyone thinks (unless those mounted guns are OP).

In a better world, the "more weaponized vehicles coming to GTAO" line means only a JB700 with working guns and an armed boat are coming in the next update. Only these. No need to take more spots from the vehicle chapter of the update.

a simpel title such as "classics/retro" could do the job just fine. and i would preffer that tbh.

 

I thought it would be cool if they called it "Cult Classics", assuming it's going to be a sh*t ton of old cars. And I know I've mentioned this before, but honestly if they add barn finds/wrecks/derelicts to this game, that would be beautiful. I don't care if it copies other games; it's at least something new you could do. Although I'm sure if they did it, it will probably be public lobbies only, but I'd still like to see it.

Bashing someone who disagrees with you..... Gtaf at its finest right here. If you cant handle ppl having different opinions, then stay away from the internet. Just because a handful of hipsters want boring, average cars doesnt mean everyone does. Ive Never seen anyone in 3 yrs of playing drive any of the hipster cars, except the dubsta 6x6, and it was originally a reward for reaching lvl 100 bundled with the inah update. And one time I saw an annoying kid drive a blade in a mission (painted like a giantsgiants creation) who was trolling ppl by holding his horn button the whole time while driving to objectives.

 

I'm not bashing him and even my words were actually harsh calling the cars in the Hipster update 'sh*tty cars nobody drives' would justify it. You don't get to play victim after calling classic muscle cars (blade), great tuners (warrener), classic euro sedans (glendale) and great older additions (pigalle, rhapsody) all sh*tty.

 

My point was he expressed his dislike for cars, and you attacked him personally for having a different opinion. Theres no victims concerning personal taste. I love Classic Muscle n Sports personally, but classic sedans n coupes are meh imo. The falcon is a beautiful car, but the perma-wheelie suspension ruined it for me. The pigalle is also sexy, but the FWD ruined that one for me. The warrener is a classic tuner, but its 4 doors was a no go. I do own a glendale. Bottom line is we can agree to disagree concerning personal taste. My issue with inah is they took an American Muscle and forced it to have a wonky suspension, and im afraid theyre gonna do similar things with part 2.

If I'm not mistaken, you used to have a more positive attitude about more updates. But I understand where you're coming from. I'm still always looking forward to new content being added, but the grind has become tiresome. And yes, I would like to see other things added besides new businesses and Adversary Modes. I can never get tired of new vehicles, but I know we need more than that too.

I have a question. The shetland pony branches seem to be affiliated with the update testing/fixing, but what is the 'vc 2012 redist' branch used for. I assume redist is short for redistribution.

Maze Bank Foreclosures is for hangars, warehouses and biker clubs, so it's probably more of that or a new business type. I really hope its the nightclubs.

Yachts were cool for about 1 month (tops) like everything else seems to be for most people, re-skinned or something "new and innovative". If I felt the way you describe I wouldn't even bother making a long post to tell everyone that doesn't care about it..
