Today's the day I go hunting Hunters in R2KFL...although I suspect there won't be much saber rattling required on my part. I imagine folks will be ready and willing to get into it with their expensive shiny new sky dicks. Gonna be fun.

It would take 2 carpet bombings to wipe out a FL Ruiner, pretty easy sounding my my estimation. Is the co pilot able to aim the canon straight down?

Honestly, even an Oppressor is more threatening to me than a Ruiner. That at least could sneak up on you. An FLR2K tells everyone in the session what you're doing, and gives you a giant blip.

 

With chaff, I don't see how any of these missile-only vehicles are going to give me trouble anyway.

 

It's all talk at the end of the day anyway. Unless we get a good heli pilot against a good Ruiner driver, none of it's more than killing easy-pickings random guys.

Even with it's buff for FL, I don't see it surviving 2+ carpet bombings. Hey, it'll be something worth testing, that's for sure 😈

Ill be putting the explosive bombs on my hunter. Ive watched the YouTube videos and they are clearly more the most effective bombs. Cluster bombs are pieces of sh*t.

Chaff or flares??

Chaff for missile spam vehicles like the Oppressor, and large groups of homing launcher guys who are too close for you to time flares properly. Flares if the amount of missiles isn't too high, and you've got enough space to get the timing right.

 

Also personal preference.

Flare

 

flares are good for planes (cause you can quickly get out of range)

 

but if we are talking hunter vs oppressor (that can spam missiles) then chaff is the thing you want
