For those who said it is not realistic to own the APC/ Hunter or any other weaponise vehicles.

 

No one push you to purchase them, c* was planed to create a open world that everyone can create their own identity and career path, not telling you to collect all stuffs.

 

You plan to be a gang member, then dont buy those military stuffs and properties, buy some guns, motoclub.

 

So everyone making themselves Bruce Wayne or Tony Stark now, then start complaining.

Nice idea in theory - shame that the only two career paths (even for things like Gunrunning and Smuggler's Run, inexplicably) are 'SecuroServ client' (CEO/VIP) or 'biker'.

 

That, and to add to what Volganor said above, the lack of variety in terms of vehicles and stuff has only made things more unbalanced, in terms of letting people pick and choose depending on their tastes. That's why people are getting intrigued and restless about the next update - because 'I'm Not A Hipster part 2' sounds like a departure from the sort of stuff we've had non-stop since June.

I just hope that R* isn't going to wimp out of doing something markedly different - because again, it would be nice for R* to let players have more room to define their GTAO experience, but that requires them putting in more varied content...

 

doesn't help our case that even hipster 2 will get armed vehicles.

 

i was and still am a suporter of that stuff but not every f*cking update

 

just let the business and weaponized vehicle/warfare stuff rest for a bit. it's time for something new.

Or just push it into the margins a bit, at least - i.e., invert the format from something like Gunrunning, so instead of 'mostly weaponised stuff to fit the theme, and a few regular vehicles' (Cheetah Classic, for example), for a theme that doesn't hinge around more gimmicky stuff, just have a couple of those more excessive vehicles as the 'side dish' as part of the drip-feed (bit like the Vigilante with Smuggler's Run, in fact), but keep them to a minimum.

Those who are complaining about insurance and BS can just stop. It's there and whether you like it or not, it makes sense to some people and it works just fine, so I don't see it disappearing on console.

 

Paying 20K to destroy an APC/mini tank that's attacking you is dumb, and no one's going to say otherwise just because you don't like it.

I don't see the issue with the railgun. We have a heavy sniper with explosive rounds and that's not that far off from a railgun.

Well it's around 3 times more powerful, so that's why I don't like it. An explosive sniper hits a Buzzard - it'll need 3 shots to take it down. This is just 1, as far as I know. So there's a big gap between them.

 

Plus it's even more explosive ammo - and it might not even need to be purchased through the MOC. Limited ammo is the only downside to the sniper, and this would lessen that (possibly completely eliminate it).

 

Everyone has their own vibe obviously. Though I'm opposed to the railgun. Unless it was nerfed to be weaker like the sniper, and had limited ammo - but there's no guarantee either of those would happen at all.

You're missing the point. The problem doesn't come from what I want to own, it's what I can own... If everyone only had cars, it would just be drive-by shootings, but now since anyone can own an APC or a grief machine like the Opressor, it's just cancerous pvp'ers in free roam. I would've been fine if those were added to Fort Zancudo (minus the bike) and blacklisted from garages, just like old GTAs you would need to steal them to use them. At least, once it's destroyed, you need to go fetch another one and not insta-respawn them.

 

There is no such thing as a gang member or biker in this game. You can feel almighty acting like you're a gangster or something, then some jackass rains hell on your head with a Pyro for no reason. Kinda takes away any kind of "power".

Sorry man but as much as i agree, this game has gone to sh*t as it is and its gone full Saints Row. I can only see it getting more foolish down the road. Got to keep them Saints Row fans pleased so they can have that fanbase buy sharkcards as well.

Well before the whole special vehicles thing gta online was pretty realistic amd it luckily still is for the most part.

The shotaro for example may be a bit crazy, however I have seen a reallife tron bike that has the features that a gta online freemode shotaro has, like lights and sound.

Stuff like the rocket voltic is ok too since there are rocket propelled cars in reallife too amd stretching realism a little bit for playability is ok.

The stuff where it gets crazy are things the ruiner 2k, the opressor and the vigilante.

I know there is stuff like knight rider and tumbler replicas, however none of them has guns, can jump or is able to fly 5 miles while hanging on a regular sized parachute.

 

Stuff that they add should have a platform that is aquireable in reallife. It can be altered a bit for playability, like a fully functional jetpack with two mounted peashooters. Even a lazer weapon would be somewhat ok since there are reallife prototypes. But stuff like a ownable ufo is definetly to much.

I did a 35-crate sale alone, but keep it low, like under 11. Some sale missions (Such as the Mogul, or 3+ Skycranes) are impossible to do solo; and ONLY try it in a private lobby.

Would be nice to get the creator tools tomorrow, I'm more excited about being able to use the Ardent in races than I am for the Cyclone though. Plan on picking up LA Noire regardless, so if the creator tools don't drop I'll have all the more time to play that.

People that own miniguns are a federal firearms licensee (Class 7 with SOT) and filled out an ATF form 1 to buy the minigun from General Electric or a distributor thereof. They don't have a permit for a wmd LOL.

But you do validate my point of civilians being able to legally obtain a minigun, and I thank you for that. Also they have to be made prior to 86. On a side note flamethrowers are actually legal to own with the right paperwork. Also a M134 goes for 250-400k, so ammunation actually sells em pretty cheap.

I don't think the word Hipster in GTA really relates to real life at all tbh. I think it will be very much in relation to "popular" cars in GTA, and being the typical opposite end of the spectrum. Idk if that makes any sense.

Heh - don't read too much into the sometimes-arbitrary decisions R* makes regarding brands/models of car, with things like the Annis 'Vulcar' Warrener.

 

(see also: Vapid 'Declasse' Mamba, Bravado 'Declasse' Tampa, Pfister 'Obey' Rocoto, BF 'Dinka' Blista, etc.)

 

 

And yeah, R*'s definition of 'hipster' just seems to mean 'not 100% mainstream', which gives them a pretty broad remit (and means that who the heck knows what they'll include this time around...)

I hope your right bro. Most of the "Hipster"cars are pretty boring imo. Except that BMW 2002. I saw a cpl modded racer ones that looked pretty sweet. I also found the Merc w123 (Glendale), and the smart 4two (Panto) that came with INaH though on irl hipster lists.
