Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 4)

I have a feeling we will be getting a mustangish car in the future because of how much it's brought up here.

I do feel like sometimes things that are expected or just wanted, but don't appear - I feel like they often are made because of all the interest. I don't know, just vibes really.

Think of all the aircraft hype around Gunrunning. A lot of people (myself included) were really hyped for the potential of aircraft, a ton of people predicted the Hunter - then there was massive disappointment. Next update, suddenly everything people talked about arrived.

Oh, and the tank talk on the last page - I'm definitely up for a new tank. A long time ago I often brought up the idea of a kind of AA tank. We got the APC, but that wasn't really what I had in mind; too small, light - plus it doesn't lock on.

I'm thinking something like this:

Make it slow, but really strong. Most importantly, make it 100% able to be used solo. I don't need another player to honk the horn for me, or whatever usual BS excuses they make for insisting these vehicles need multiple people. (I remember the missile jammer in crate cargo sales - needed two people. Like, what the f*ck? The countermeasures we have now work just perfect solo).

That's what we need...

I love the idea except the weird giant triple wing, and the being the police part.

I took a day off cos I recognized I was getting a bit mouthy, sorry if I offended anyone. Looks like people still arguing and sh*t tho. Anyway, on topic, I really hope we get mansions and nightclubs soon. I don't want to own the nightclub tho, just to have another place to chill and drink, hopefully there will be a dancing minigame. I think there are enough businesses for now, I wouldn't mind if we didn't get a business at all in the Dec update. Also I am one as well that would like a Dominator Classic, altho I would rather have a proper Gauntlet, MOPAR for life.

No worries bro. It takes a real man/woman to admit they were wrong. This place gets a lil edgy sometimes. Its kinda like a gang initiation. If you survive a month, you will be ok.

Yeah. I wouldnt mind if this DLC was purely cosmetic. Something that didnt require you to buy said business and play fetch with cars/drugs/crates/whatever.

And if you didnt buy said business, they call you ten thousand times about it.

I wouldn't mind a business that's strictly passive income. Not like the bunker where it makes money, but then you have you sell it and do missions for it. I just want to buy supplies (or not, even, maybe have that automatically if it's kept running) and just leave it while it makes money.

This kind of passive income makes playing in free mode a bit more viable without it just draining your money completely.

(Oh, 9 days to the Hunter too. Mmmm, Hunter).

Passive income would be great, even if it was implemented like story where every so often you'll be called to do a little mission or you'll miss out on the next couple paydays.

Completely passive would be preferred, only getting harassed once in a blue moon by the business like in SP would be okay... but knowing how much I get raided despite having max security on my meth and coke, it'd happen every hour.

right, like the businesses in SP, it would be so cool to own a weed shop and do nothing except the occasional "get your stolen weed back" mission.

I would like to see a new mini story arc like Lowriders gave us with the Lamar missions.

As long as it doesn't require 4 players and has a normal lobby set up, unlike the Lamar missions.

More like the Special Vehicle missions? Where you just need one other player at most?

Yeah, I'd like it set up like those too. Only eliminating the "Mission failed, ____ died" crap this time

To this day I still haven't done the Lamar missions. I was on a break around the time they came out, but with the restrictions I just couldn't be bothered getting a team of 4 together.

So I definitely want whatever's next to be a little more relaxed on restrictions/not needing a ton of players.

You kinda pointed out why it won't be passive income for that little effort, lol...

The freemode viability doesn't fit in with this game dude. Freemode pap costs.

Unfortunate, of course.

Lamar's jobs are fun guys, defo take more themed small stories, or the MOC/SV missions.

Either would show PvE is still thought of these days. Just not enough added compared to the PvP.

I agree. That's what I miss most about Vice City. If we could own businesses that only need minimal upkeep, like an occasional "Lost MC are giving us issues, get them to back off!" or "Hey, we need some supplies and the usual driver isn't picking up, help us out?' mission, I'd be cool with that. I would especially be cool with a system where you have a stake in a business, and get a cut out of their weekly take, and don't have to deal with any of the nonsense of owning the whole business. Say a business makes one hundred grand a week, you have a ten percent stake in it, you get ten grand. That's something I'd like to see. For businesses like a night club (Bahama Mamas), a bar (Swingers) or a weed shop (Smoke On The Water) it could totally work. Even something like a car dealership like Simeon's would work. Honestly, all businesses that generate incomen would work because you could choose how much of a controlling stake you want, say, from five percent to fifty percent, and you could basically sit back, go AFK, and just make money. It would be really nice from them if they added this good'ol feature from the 3d universe to Online. It was incredible to stop by The Four Dragons Casino while passing through LV's The Strip, just to get some more money.

But I don't think they'd add a completely passive income, at least not with a money per hour similar to what our current business do.

What I think would be more likely for R* to do, is a business where, yeah, the income is passive, but this income depends on how you deal with it.

While production is running, there would be some events, like people wanting to invest, buy/ sell shares or something, that would interfer in your final money, increasing or even decreasing depending on the deals you accept. You could choose to ignore this aspect and just leave it there as your full passive income, resulting in something like 30% the profit of most of our current businesses or engage in managing it and have a good or even huge income.

Too many AFK methods/exploits as is. Bikers, bunkers and playlists dude.

As much as I love more story mode/older title additions, it's time or money now guys. Often both.

But I do hope for more activities like dancing, gyms etc. Anything creative or old school for sure, just I can't see them making it that easy for griefers and trolls...

They get so many incentives to be bandits, this'll make it worse, IMO.

Though, what am I saying... Griefers get the perks and encouragement...

My bad...

yaaas! I said this several times, it would be so cool to get another one of those, the Lamar missions are unique to online. The way I see it working is the nightclub owner has a mission arc, cos I sure don't want to own a club, just chill at one. Anyone to initiate missions will do, as long as it is like the Lamar missions, with a mini story arc.

not all of them need 4, some only need 2, but yeah, less restrictive in general would be nice. TBH the only reason I did them was to get the Lamar icon off my mini map, I can't stand clutter, especially cos you can't hide it.

I don't see R* doing that either, why give the player free money, however as pointed out on here before the business doesn't have to make that much money, like maybe around $20k per in game day.

They're awful missions, but there are a few funny cutscenes in them so I'd recommend maybe watching a playthrough video. The Vagos funeral is especially good.

As for passive income generation, if they ever do add nightclubs, I'd love to see the SP business model copied: large up-front cost, regular payments, and periodic texts telling you to get supplies or defend the business. And if you fail that you just miss the next payment or whatever.

I'd like that, but I just don't see it happening.

It would be nice if these new to come businesses interact with your other businesses like a nightclub sell mission to deliver booze to your clubhouse or a nightclub supply mission to get coke from your coke lockup.

So to fully optimize a nightclub business you have to run other businesses (hey R* I see a great sharkcard oppurtinity and for free cause already in the gane). It would make the game more of a whole instead of playing different game-modes...

That way some missions could be easy if your other business is near or difficult when you've bought a coke factory in Paleto Bay and your nightclub is next to Eclipse Toners. And if you don't run a coke business you don't get the missions involving it, but the nightclub pays less...

^once again, I really hope the nightclubs are not a business, I thought the offices were congested, I had no idea, how the hell does more than just me own a hangar, then 30 people own the same nightclub? The way I hope they do it, and the way that would make the most sense, is like the Vanilla Unicorn, a passive zone to chill and drink, hopefully dance. The other cool thing would be a mini story arc, maybe with the nightclub owner, the Lamar questline is unique to the online experience, there are a few other questlines in the game, heists come to mind, but with a different setup, i.e. a series of setups and then the finale. The lamar questline was well written and can be challenging for a low level, as I have said the only reason I did it was to get the Lamar icon off my radar, but as I went through the different missions I found myself enjoying it, especially the rise and subsequent fall of Lamar Davis. I also played through it at a relatively low level so I invariably got my ass kicked a lot... holy sh*t I just went on a tangent there, but I digress, a club owner given mini questline would be awesome. Also passive businesses a la SP. Also, also, mansions w/ at least a 20 car garage.

Probably boats.

What I wanted was military grade stuff, we've already had that with lots o weaponised vehicles, a APC, ww2 aircraft droping recreational nukes and sh*t in the last two dlcs (now I'm just waiting for the full physical remover, the Hunter).

What I want for now are some tuners and muslces and, well, looks like that's what most people in the community are wishing to get as well.

Sooo no answer then?

Well someone is super impatient... you waited like what, less then 4 min and you already screaming for an answer?

Geez if you are so eager to know maybe try using the search button? That would work way faster for you.

I'm not a big fun of nightclubs idea myself but if you want I can give you couple examples:

  • One of the best reasons Ive ever seen was to turn it in to a cover up for planing heists, similar how we did in Vice City with Malibu Club.

    maxresdefault.jpg

Knowing R* nowadays it would be something more like "mini heists in freeroam" but that might be cool actually. Something like vip jobs but with bigger stakes and better payouts. Whatever it is - hopefully it would generate something better then crate runs / new freeroam activities

  • GTA TBOGT - whole game made mainly around owning nighclubs. Just use your imagination.
  • People like to hangout in bars and clubs. Extra immersion I guess.
  • minigames, pool tables, arcade, dancing.
  • Ability to customize your own bar
  • R* already created couple bars. Reusing assets is easier then creating new ones
  • "We should totally buy a bar"
  •

edit:

For me the best businesses would be:

- you pick one of randomly generated heists from a wall

- you choose how you want to do it (just like in single player heists)

- you have to finish couple setup missions in freeroam (3-5 jobs where you have to steal the equipment and vehicles)

- you finish with a heist where everyone gets payed equally
