Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 4)

Unfortunately, I highly doubt the next update in December will be "Midnight Club" The newswire mentioned New business purchase and weaponized vehicles. In my opinion, it will be a sea-based business update with weaponized watercrafts.

No, they never mentioned new businesses. They said new properties. Not businesses.

 

It won't be a Midnight Club or a sea based update.

 

Not houses but properties? Empty buildings? Bikers 2.0 lol

 

 

End of year updates-

 

Year 1- Yachts

Year 2- 20 car showrooms/60 garage slots

Year 3- ????

 

Every year they add an extremely expensive property that produces little or zero money. I expect this year to be no different.

 

I don't want to get anyone hyped based on my speculation, but I think there is a possiblity that I once thought was a pipe dream. Based on a variety of factors that I don't want to state right now, I think this upcoming update will be the most expensive ever released. With more vehicles than ever before, and one long requested item...

I don't agree with this, we had longer waiting periods, the content that we received from the update before getting a new one wasn't enough to fill up the lack of content during the waiting time,...

 

Well if the content would not be enough for the long waiting period it would also not be enough for the long dripfeed period. If 90% of the content is crap it will be crap no matter if they release it day one or stretch it out over 2 month.

But if they would release everything day 1 the crap would be out of the way day 1 and you could enjoy the 10% you like instead of getting fed crap for 9 weeks, waiting for the 10% you want.

I can take some examples of this said content, remember how we were waiting for the DOD to get released? And how we were complaining about the fact that they left it to the end of SVR's dripfeed schedule, we got it, played with it for few weeks and that was it, was it a "crap" content? Nope, awesome vehicle and it was highly anticipated but that was it, very rarely when i see someone driving one right now, same goes for most pieces of content, the Hunter is highly requested helicopter, a lot of us want it, i want it, but i can see it facing the same situation after its release, maybe the hunter is kinda special because the wait for it was longer and longer than the usual content but still only few of us will be flying it after the third or fourth week of its release.

 

Again, i am certainly not trying to justify or agree with the current stat and schedule of dripfeed but it still better than having everything on day one of the release of the update in my opinion.

I have flown my Buzzard and killed players with it almost everyday for the past 1,5 year. Do you really think I'll get bored of the Hunter after only 4 weeks?

I expect nothing less from rockstar in terms of pricing properties up and out of reach for some players in the next DLC. In that case I think it would be a great change of pace from what we have now.

 

I've always wanted to buy a mansion to showcase my greed and philanthropy.

I stand corrected. Properties is vague..but so is Rockstar when it comes to talk about future DLCs

What about the weaponized vehicles and properties from Maze Bank Foreclosures they teased? Didn't sound like too much of a pipe dream from those few words.

 

Every year's December update has been grand in some fashion save for 2013 and 2014's so I don't doubt the possibility that Rockstar may have always been waiting for December of every year to hatch all their eggs into one basket.

 

That's what Executives and Other Criminals and Import/Export screamed the loudest... fan requests. Both updates were absolutely jam packed with them. Now this game may have already ran its course and have damage done to it but I still believe there's some light to be had at the end of this long, dark tunnel.

Seems to me Mansions would fit nicely on Maze Bank Foreclosures. I mean, half the residences in LS have forclosure signs out front.

 

And weaponized vehicles mean nothing since we can store them in our regular garages. No need for a special property.

Mansions seem like something that would be more suited to buy from Dynasty 8 or another real estate agency entirely. Maze Bank Foreclosures to me gives off the image of more gritty, business based properties. I guess we'll see though, not like this little qualm is enough to discard the idea of mansions entirely.

 

And yeah about the weaponized vehicles you're right.. we had quite a few in Import/Export and they didn't really have anything to do with the update itself.

I can live with not getting a Tuner or even a Midnight Club update, but more Retro Custom vehicles slotted into whichever updates R* see fit would be neat.

Year 2- Nothing, except Homing Launcher, the daily Special Crate gifts, snowballs (2014/2015)

Over the years I've looked at those foreclosures and wondered if they were going to be purchasable some day. The thing that kinda discouraged that theory was a lot of them have those stupid gates that scratch your car every time you drive through it, would really suck if R* uses those properties and doesn't change the gates.

 

Super hyped for Mansions though if they come regardless!

Import/Export was the name of the DLC that gave us the 3/20 office garage. That same DLC we got the most profitable business to date.

 

That and:

I was speaking somewhat sarcastically about the Midnight Club update, but I actually forgot R* mentioned new weaponized vehicles.

 

@Mach, mansions actually really make sense now that you mention it. I've always wanted mansions because I figured they might have huge garages, but assuming that's what is coming next, now I'm afraid that any vehicle added that isn't a weaponized vehicle will be once again more expensive supers/luxury cars.
