Just the fact that I put so many hours into the game, and as of recent, bought my first shark card (the 5 dollar one, cause I'm not THAT grateful) as a "thank you" for adding the Hunter finally... but yeah, due to my playtime and the fact that I've bought every single R* title day one, i feel i bit entitled. Not to have what i want when i want, but to my opinion. TBF, even casuals who play rarely are entitled to their opinion. What 3rd world gulag are some of you from where having an opinion makes someone "entitled acting"?

I was not raised on the internet. I had to curtail the way I talk in real life to be allowed back. I don't understand vitriol and no longer engage in it.

 

I don't feel entitled and I have 226 days playtime. I more than got my $65 worth.

Exactly. $15-$25 every 3 months is nothing, and considering I'm already paying $60 a year to PSN just to play online, I'd much rather get the content all at once rather than waiting until R* decides we deserve a worthy vehicle from the DLC Edited October 24, 2017 by The Gator

Raged: I was refering to the kids on the last page who got mad that some of us are annoyed that the dripfeed is so slow. Joelcat and somebody else i cant recall and don't care to, but you are also pretty overbearing and quick to police opinions, or better yet have little opinion sword fights and then claim "but hey, opinion is subjective, pot/kettle/black, ect".

I think we're all a little high strung. Happens to even the most patient of us towards the middle/end of a drip... I wasn't even expecting anything today anyways. I just tend to get triggered when i see people throwing big, unnecessary words like entitlement around a vidjya gaems forum... i hope all of you have a good day.

It doesn't matter if you are entitled or not, releasing an update and not releasing most of it for months is kind ridiculous. I get annoyed about the 3 seconds a garage takes to load in.. or the mechanic delay etc etc. it's all time wasting that didn't need to happen as far as I'm concerned :0.

I think it's unwinnable. If they released it all at once and then no update for a few months people would complain also.

After everything Rockstar has pulled, theres zero chance Im buying RDR. I dont have a problem with the drip-feed concept and actually prefer it, but literally everything else theyve done has pissed me off. I hope they enjoyed the Shark Card money from their little bunker research paywall stunt, because theyve forever lost my business because of it.

The dripfeed is ridiculous. Release the seabreeze already. If they wanted to release transform races at the end so as to keep things moving along for the better vehicles, that would have been fine. R* seems to be flying blind...its pretty clear they are pissing people off. For the lolz, I sometimes look at R* FB comments, they are about 15 times worse with complaints.

​Coyote Cards... ​or wtfever R* will be calling the RDR2 micro-transaction paywall thing.

 

But if there's a chance that they could sell Shark Cards AND​ Coyote Cards, they'll probably split the team in an effort to get both.

Keep flogging the 4+ year old engine of GTA until it becomes too unstable to continue being profitable, then consider​ the next instalment.

 

Nah, I don't think they'll be Coyote Cards. I'm sure they'll be treasury bonds or stocks instead.

 

For the next GTA, they'll just wait when the Shark Card numbers aren't the same and when people really get out in droves. Then, they'll release a teaser and everyone's hype will be through the roof. And then the character(s) trailer, the new features trailer and the release date trailer.

 

Now... they'll need to start with the next game before people go out in droves, or they'll have nothing to keep the masses happy.

You know back when gunrunning was released I sat in the bunker on my secondary account and fast tracked all the research, got it done that night and that was it.. Didn't think much of it but yesterday I decided to finally unlock everything on my main account.. with grinded money and man.. that really sucked when you've had time to think about how much a dick move that was

At least there's only so long the dripfeed can go on now. This month is nearly over, and we should have everything in the next one (or at least by the end of it).

 

Plus there's something for most people. Hunter for me and the aircraft guys, Vigilante for ragedandcaged, whatever that other car was called for whoever's interested in that.

 

The real people it's a shame for are those who are left out and just have to sit by waiting. I guess what I'm saying is give Quinn boots with jeans and then everything's okay. And speed up the dripfeed.

Dripfeed is not bad by itself. If done correctly, it could be used to keep the game relatively fresh for longer periods of time and give people reasons to visit it on weekly basis. However R* cranked up this idea to 11, which ends up in GTA Online being so incredibly dull and stagnant for months in before updates. I could live with 1 vehicle being released every week - if only these vehicles were actually anticipated and diverse. But here we have, 12 aircrafts, with half of them being available to test at day 1 during smuggling missions.

 

And speaking of missions, they are monothematic as well - Bikers, I/E, Gunrunning and now Smuggler's Run use the same "template" and business model.

At this point I couldn't care less about new planes - I'm sick and tired of them, because that's the only thing GTA Online focuses on since the end of august. Same goes to militarized vehicles.

 

Look, event weeks can be good - remember double money for heists, car exports or contact missions? They were great, because they've motivated people to play the game. New plane or 25% discounts for the same generic supercar over and over can't achieve that, because purchasing a vehicle, customizing it and just testing it around takes 15 minutes at most. And then we make a full circle - wait for the next dripfeed week.

I've got an idea for Rockstar... If they had of released NONE of the smugglers run aircraft with the DLC but made them all unlock and be buyable by playing the smugglers run missions.. ie instead of getting a discount after X missions, you can then buy the plane (like Heists was). Then we would have actually played smugglers run AND bought the planes for full price.. Right now I haven't played any of them and have zero plans to do it. Using nothing but waiting 3 months to unlock something.. majorly silly.

Although I'm disappointed, I'm not really surprised that no vehicle showed up.

 

Knowing my luck, I knew R* will drag on the Seabreeze as much as possible, at this point I won't be surprised if it came out after the Hunter & Lazer.

I think it's still the same stuff; they just changed the Premium Race.

 

And regarding the drip-feed... once again I think they should go back to the Cunning Stunts method and release 2-3 vehicles per week instead of one. Another reason why CS is one of my all-time favorite updates in this game.

Yeah, I've actually been cleaning up quite nicely with the Transform races. A reward for being a well rounded player I suppose, that or I've been playing for four years and have the advantage of owning all the vehicles

 

I was winning too much (to barrow a Trumpism), so I started turning catch up and slipstream back on. Even so I'm still winning 2/3 races, even when my opponents also own all of the designated vehicles. I would say it's going to my head, but i have 456 wins to 202 loses... i can't help but to pat my own back a bit!

Didn't they say this event week was going to last 'til Thursday? It's either Tuesday of Friday, pretty clear that Halloween update is gonna come on Friday.

 

I hope they're bringing back Franken Stange etc.

 

As for the rationing of content, I was already saying I like the concept of weekly surprises, but that doesn't mean I agree like the way they handle it. It would be justifiable if they released all new items instead of holding on to ones they already have. I also don't like the fact that some parts of a DLC can be lazily executed.

 

Also what some people don't realize is that bitchy, outspoken vocal & entitled players are a necessary evil to keep the game companies at bay. It's like bargaining, you need to set the expectations and exigences extremely high to get a good product. Also bitching here is not enough, publish articles, blogposts, write emails to the publisher itself, write negative reviews if it's justified to get attention and step up their game. They need to notice

 

The worst thing are apologists and shills, why would you ever defend a company? They don't have your interest at heart. Atleast not a big one like Take2 (indie devs are a different story) You gotta give 'em a hard time, and let 'em know, if not for your sake, for the sake of gaming.

 

The way the game industry is now is because of gamers, the average consumer there is younger, ignorant and submissive, the guys in the boardroom will take full advantage of that. No other industry can pull what gaming can pull, it's because gamers are gullible idiots.

 

The more idiots you got, the louder you gotta bitch, dispense your energy in public, we need an annoying prick with an attitude to publishing blogposts, publishers don't deserve a break. Every wish is fair game, everythign, because we pay their salary, and that better be worth Someting. And even if everything you want is not gonna happen, it's gonna raise the bar for publishers and devs.

 

Become such a difficult audience that shareholders abandon the market and the gaming industry crashes , let it burn, it's not a bad thing for the customer. The established names will die, but the market will remain and companies will always compete for our dollars. Make 'em your bitch, it's better than the alternative.

Ehm .. when you are a quite good "racer" and a lucky one too, you know .. getting lucky with your opponents in the race and not those times where you have those punks ramming you off the road.

 

I wasn't expecting a vehicle today anyway, i was thinking Rockstar might add some more transform races or even the creator but i guess we have to wait few weeks for that, every time there's a talk about how dripfeeding sucks I think about what would we be doing for the last few weeks if everything got released on the day of the update and also what if we didn't know that there is a content hidden in the files, sure, waiting for hidden content sucks, yes, but i think it's way better than having nothing new at all for weeks and months after a DLC.. at least in my opinion anyway.
