NO SNOW THIS YEAR PLEASE

Hold on a minute, snow is a rare thing that only happens a few days a year, and rockstar gives us no way to make it snow when ever we want. Your just going to have to deal with the snow for a few days. Snow makes driving cars in game way more fun do to them not being super glued to the road for a change and lets us experience the game with non boring vehicle physics.

But thanks to you bringing up snow, doesn't rockstar normally double the amount of days snow lasts in gta online each year? I hope they do. I love snow. It makes me come back and play and have fun with the game. Snow should be able to be turned on and off in invite only lobbies and singleplayer at least. I would give rockstar $10,000,000 of my in game gta online money for that ability.

Let it Snow. Let it Snow. Let it snow. This year I will do a better snow timelapse video in a lot of different places :D

Giving us the ability to turn snow on/off would also give R* the opportunity to market some snow vehicles, I want a ski-doo

I look forward to experimenting with new outfits that blend well with the snow.

http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2017/10/23/exclusive-interview-rockstar-discusses-past-present-and-future-of-grand-theft-auto-online.aspx

Something big is coming.

And here's everything wrong with this interview because I love nitpicking.

As a company we love single-player more than anything, and believe in it absolutely for storytelling and a sense of immersion in a world, multiplayer games dont rival single-player games. With GTA V, the single-player game was absolutely massive and very, very complete.

They did state the reason for the lack of SP DLC and that's understandable. There is absolutely no reason not to add vehicles and weapons from Online DLC's into SP, though. In fact they blocked those from SP on purpose. If they really love singleplayer, why actually put the effort into not adding something to it?

As for "absolutely massive, and very, very complete", I'm not saying that it's incomplete -I got my money's worth personally- but I'm pretty sure the 240+ pages of GTA V Beta Hunt and a ton of disgruntled SP fans would like to argue with this.

Question: For Rockstar fans saddened by the fact that GTA V didnt receive story-focused single-player campaign expansions, what GTA Online content would you recommend they check out?

Answer: Id recommend any of the updates that give you the chance to interact with characters from the main storyline Lowriders puts you in touch with Lamar and his crew, Bikers has the Lost MC helping you set up shop, Lester helps facilitate Heists while Trevor makes a cameo appearance, and Agent 14 guides you through building bunker businesses in Gunrunning.

Agent 14 is not in singleplayer. "we love single-player more than anything" LUL

In addition to those regular large updates, we are always offering additional bonuses and discounts for players, which not only exposes them to fun new items and modes they may not have considered owning or playing [...]

R* said SP is complete ,what a cock a sh*t! all they care about is selling shark cards.

If online content is so free how come single play don't get anything added?

R* lied to us in 2014 nothing but lies, greedy bastards.

I didn't see anything big being hinted at... seems like info we already know, for those who pay attention.

Yea, standard PR talking points.

Wonder if we will get a snowmobile this year?

Or how bout a nice and big snow plow truck? No? Jus me? Huh... Ok. Would be cool to have this stuff for the holidays. Snowmobile could be 300k and the snow plow truck would be 800k.

The phantom wedge essentially is a snow plow...its just that they added it as a vehicle plow ;)

Phantom Wedge? Pfft, try the Armored Boxville. Just as effective* & no silly 30 vehicles limit.

___

*No bulletproof tires though.

As long as you don't paint it Gold, Neon Green or Pink no one will notice.

I ditched the black in favor of matte light gray with silver pearlescent a while back & people still can't tell its not your average garden variety Phantom.

yep, they wont notice that its a average garden variety phantom until they go poor after wasting all that explosive ammo from RPGs/sticky bombs/homing launchers on the behemoth or when they are being chased by me in a random street car they stole and are confused on how Im keeping up with them and turning em into roadkill lol. I got called a hacker so many times in this thing its hilarious. Some folks however are determined to waste 20k$+ worth of ammo just to get that kill ( I just go passive when the truck has sustained a lot of punishment, return it to bunker, re-call it, drive to it, remove passive and repeat process.) its also great for haulage! I literally massacred a group of 8 mc dudes trying to kill me while I was driving the truck in a 360 reverse while being peppered with bullets and explosives. Ap pistol this dude, run over that guy, sticky bomb the two standing together, bounce over a pole and crush another dude... etc.. this thing is tons of fun! (No pun intended.) Edit: sorry for all the large posts that Im putting out in this thread, Im sure some will enjoy my small stories.

Haha Yessir!

My Phantom loves to feast on Oppressors, Kurumas & Rocket Voltics. For some reason some folks think the RV is a match for it.

Next time you do Haulage, put a C4s on either side of the back of the trailer, wait for the inevitable noob to come close enough, swing to his direction, detonate & watch him fly ;)

dont be giving me too many ideas now, I already am way too much to handle for a noob lol. I drive the truck slow in haulage, and as a low level player goes out of his way from chilling at the docks to driving like a maniac to me, I wait for em to drive up to my truck, then slam on the gas pedal crush their car beside my truck, crushing it against the wall/side of highway. I sometimes even accidentally blow up player vehicles during car chases and already obliterated dozens upon dozens of bikes by running em over, sometimes oppressors. Whats the point of a ballistic suit when you got a ballistic rig of doom?! For what it is, its really a underrated vehicle imo. OT: Im contemplating on whether or not I should get the vigilante. Opinions?

Hehehe.

I gotta admit, I'm guilty of that too ... Most kuruma drivers fall for it.

Speaking of Oppressors, I once cornered a scooter during Haulage & took him out with a Grenade, it was so satisfying.

I kind of think the Phantom vedge could be used as a snow plow truck but I wouldn't mind a new one for that purpose either

"We dont yet have a fixed end point in mind, but the rollout of updates may change a little in order to encourage players to try Red Dead Redemption II when it launches. It would be great to have players splitting time between two incredible worlds, but we shall see how things evolve. One of the enjoyable things about working on a project like this is that you can iterate quickly, and change and evolve plans fairly quickly too, so we dont have to be as clear in our plans as with other projects."

This is a very important paragraph. Not good news for GTA Online.

ROCKSTAR MANIC

I bet that POS Sarwar has never played a single minute of 3D era Gta games to understand what Single player is about. If you're reading this, and I know you're reading this. The best thing you could is RESIGN. There is absolutely no substance to your interview, this isnt a complete game. Paywalls, overpriced clothing & vehicles, Stupid marketing and drip-feed tactics. Restricting vehicles and content to GTAO Not only that, but creating a "hold your hand" Gta with all these tips, or loading screens and terrible cloud programs. WTF has this developing company has become??

OT: I guess no more actual fleshed out DLC, more of a bunch of the same PVP adversary modes that are completely boring BTW and heres a few vehicles so you kiddies can STFU.

this is what happens when a company who is focused on story telling and SP games turn to online to please the masses.

i always stood by that fact, but people always tell me to "go along with the times" and "sp games are boring".

and then people are asking why i don't trust Redemption's 2 quality when it comes to SP.

funny thing is gta online is the ONLY online game i'm involved with but even that is slowing down for me.

online was a fun ADD ON but the more it came into focus in the industry, the more it ruined great franshises.

oh well...

P.S. for those of you praising the benz well it was his idea to turn away from the SP in favor of online. a "understandable" route to go but it's a weak one. and don't act like online was going somewhere when he was still around.

Not good at all.... You cant make someone like a game when a gamer has it in their mind already not to buy it anyhow.

Dangerous gamble Rockstar is playing. Willing to lose players to both games by pushing a game not many players want to play.

ok it's not as popular as gta online but don't act like it's just going to be a "thing that exists".

ofcourse it won't sell as much as gta v but those numbers were record breaking,so it's almost logical not to break it. but trust me many people will buy it.

Exactly as expected.

People thinking that GTAO will stay strong for years because it prints money is delusional. They even advertise RDR2 in GTAO, ffs.........

Good updates for GTAO mean less attention paid to RDR2. And it's clear that next year is RDR2's year.

and tbh not all that bad. some people on here seem to have the mindset that rockstar should only make gta games and the rest is "unworthy". c'mon now.

shame that gta online will stay in it's bad state though.

I just read that article and hopefully Red Dead Redemption II and RDR Online allows Rockstar to really make up for what went wrong with GTA Online. For me the biggest issue with GTA Online is it's inflation.

Imran can say what he wants, but we all know that Rockstar encourages you to buy shark cards and the only way to do that is to increase the price of content. The price of content is all I hear about when people start talking about upcoming DLCs. it's by far one of the biggest talking points and I guarantee that if content was reasonable priced, very few would complain about Shark card's prices or "content being aimed at high rollers".

There is no denying inflating the in-game prices works business wise but it does leave some users with a bad taste in their mouth, which could lead to them thinking twice before they buy another Rockstar title (not talking about GTA Forums users, of course).

Note: I'm very rich in GTA Online, Im talking from a general point of view.

Oh boy! Who ever gave this interview has to play a very diffrent game.

Cheap clothing my a$$. We have clothes that cost a couple of 100 grand and every piece of clothing from smugglers run was a few million in total. Its also not just the clothing thats overpriced its the content in general.

Want to buy and customize an APC? Thats 1,2 Million for a bunker, 2 Million for an moc with vehicle customs bay and a couple of hours/100k to unlock parts of the customization please. Thats the stuff he does not talk about because he definitly knows he talking out of his rear.

These PR people need a dose of reality.

It makes me worry what the future holds for us.

I'm glad to hear that they won't just abruptly stop updating GTA Online, but I understand some of you guys' concerns about future content. Overall I'm happy with what we've gotten this year, especially Gunrunning and SR because I wanted customizable military vehicles for a while now, but like everyone there's still some things that piss me off, like for example overpriced stuff, having to pay millions of dollars just to do one or two things (looking at you MOC), and not getting enough variety in the stuff we're getting (like getting almost nothing but European super cars for drip-feed besides vehicles that match the update's theme). But thankfully I'm also not one of those people who has to buy everything right away (To this day, I only have 6 Pegasus Vehicles and only 2 of them are aircraft).

this is what happens when a company who is focused on story telling and SP games turn to online to please the masses.

i always stood by that fact, but people always tell me to "go along with the times" and "sp games are boring".

and then people are asking why i don't trust Redemption's 2 quality when it comes to SP.

funny thing is gta online is the ONLY online game i'm involved with but even that is slowing down for me.

online was a fun ADD ON but the more it came into focus in the industry, the more it ruined great franshises.

oh well...

P.S. for those of you praising the benz well it was his idea to turn away from the SP in favor of online. a "understandable" route to go but it's a weak one. and don't act like online was going somewhere when he was still around.

How many hours the last four years would you've played this game if it was only single player mode? More hours than you've played online?

I would probably have played the story one or maybe two times and that's it, online I probably have around 80 days of playtime so I feel it's a good thing they turned towards online but I hope they still make a single player story for rdr2 and next GTA also

That isn't a PR person. That is Leslies replacement.
