Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 4)

I still believe muscles are tuner. As I've gone to tuner car meets and they have been mustangs and challengers their too.

 

Technically, you can 'tune' the engine of a Trabant - for all the good it'd do you...

 

But most of the time, I've noticed that US custom cars are simply referred to as ...custom cars (or 'customs' - hence 'West Coast Customs'), while 'tuner' is the short form of 'sports tuner' (or for non-domestic models, 'import tuner').

 

And I know that's an arbitrary distinction, considering that tuners are (by definition) 'custom cars' - but then, muscle cars are technically 'sports cars', too, but in common parlance, most people use 'muscle car' as =/= 'sports car', to place a clear separation between the two.

 

(...until you get to things like the Corvette and Viper, and then things get arbitrary again, and ...nope, not opening that can of worms... )

 

 

...but aaanyway, for the purposes of GTA, since we have 'sports' and 'muscle', makes sense to have a bunch of 'sports tuners' and 'custom muscle cars'. And sooner rather than later, too!

If they keep up at the pace we're on, there will inevitably a nuclear holocaust DLC at some point... those of us with bunkers are prepared at least.

How about just another car update, with a decent assortment but with some muscle cars this time. Import Export was perfect IMO, now imagine if they spent the time dedicated to the FR aspect of that dlc on strictly making new cars.

 

And leaving aside weaponized-special-armed vehicles for once.

Some sort of focus on watercraft would be unexpected☺ Trying to think of whats absent from this iteration, and it brings me to gangs. Something that involves street cred, npc crewmates, tagging, turf wars and such. At the same time, seems like a step backwards for our characters, narratively.

Also, feel like we'll get another benny type of update, or maybe Benny himself will just expand the models he works on. Too many classics that get requested too often (hermes,deluxo,Savannah,Broadway) for them to ignore. I'd pay up to 5 mil for any of them.

Apologies for skewing a bit off topic, you guys understand how I am about muscle cars. Never ever heard anyone refer to anything but compacts/jdm cars as Tuners.

Well, "tuners" can be European cars too like BMW M3,Renault Megane R.S or Audi RS2 ,not only JDM like D.B.said but yes, Muscle aren't "tuners" cars, but it will be really good to have muscle, euros and JDM in the same update..

If you're talking about European cars, it would be nice to finally get a BF that isn't old and/or a dune buggy, like the Club. Although I could see them putting in an old Club, which wouldn't be bad, but I want one based off the Mk. 7 Golfs too.

Maybe this is where all the chances they've given us to make money will come in handy. I mean we have like what, 5 options of money making now? Maybe we'll see a add on that requires $100 million to fully enjoy it.

I'm not quite ready to get my Shark Card tin foil hat out just yet, but I wonder if these extended drip feeds are a new strategy by R*/T2.

 

Dripfeeding one update straight into the next eliminates the months between updates where players could hord cash in wait for the next DLC.

 

The gap between I/E and Gunrunning (SVC doesn't count) funded Gunrunning and Smugglers Run so far with 50m+ still banked for me.

 

I can't imagine that is a situation R*/T2 are happy with as to them I'm just a freeloader.

Agree with you, it would be amazing to get new European Hot Hatchbacks,but I don't think it's gonna happen IMO.

If that's the only thing R* takes away from Quinn and others' efforts/suggestions in the 'Dear R*' thread, then they're either giving the finger big time, or ...well, they frankly can't read...

 

Wouldn't mind a nice, varied update with a decent selection of new clothing items, though, definitely (instead of more palette-swaps with horrible texture quality... ) - I really do long for the days of another Ill-Gotten Gains or I'm Not A Hipster, with that level of vehicle variety and great character customisation additions (still right up their with my favourite updates of all time - sigh...).
