Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 4)

I was expecting one more big wholesome DLC later this year right before the end of the year. Im not talking about the Halloween or christmas updates. A update like this one, but I'm guessing we are getting anything. With the drip feed and how its going I hope R* just addresses all communities (SP, offroad, Tuner, Nightlife, Aquatic DLC) in here on what they want for an update before April and the release of RDR2 in May.

Were was that confirmed ?

nothing is confirmed, but they have released an update on december pretty much every year, so yeah its very likely it would continue

Im assuming those four-wheeled vehicles belong to the smugglers run update. Knowing R*, if they sublimely announce another update within the update, it isn't concise considering that its really predictable because we only know for sure that Halloween and Christmas updates will get these vehicles they are talking about. Vigilante for halloween, ? for christmas.

 

Who knows if there will be another major update between Halloween and Christmas?? That is my question. Plus theyre going to be "Busy" with the relaunch of L.A Noire.

there is a empty script called am_mp_christmas17 and they need to update the game to make it usable

Can someone show me some gameplay of the l-22/me 163 with the stock rocket engine.

You could try this or just do Smuggling acquisition missions until you get the one where you have to bomb the farm over by Grapeseed and experience the stock version directly.

 

Personally, I didn't like its bombing characteristics and its fast when it has fuel and after that it's a glider, but land-to-refuel was a pain. Maybe it's OK as a fun leisure plane or laugh 'n grief tool, but after that first time I just brought my Savage out for that mission. Rocket the guards and ER-shoot the targets, then outrun the helicopters back to the base. Faster and easier.

"Fun new stuff" - even if that winds up being more (horribly low-res ) palette-swaps of existing items, that's still new content that needs to be added to the game, and isn't currently in there.

 

...and more to the point, as rollschuh2282 pointed out a few posts up, there's that 'am_mp_christmas17' script that got added with Smuggler's Run (IIRC), but is currently doing nothing, with no associated content. Looks highly likely that it's a placeholder for something that'll be added with a later update - probably the next one, in time for Xmas.

i know the boost upgrade for it all to well im looking for some gameplay of the the unupgraded engine with out the boost

the other one does have a similiar version of the GTA SA heck, the rotors are "free" not in this round "thing"

Bombushka Run is the worst rated adversary mode to date with its outstanding 30% rating even with double payouts. Its rating is so bad it makes rhino hunt look good. Each map for bombushka run has more dislikes than amount of times a full game has been played. When people leave the job it counts as a dislike.

 

Possible release order for the rest of the dripfeed vehilces Based on website order and discount unlock order. Cyclone is kind of the oddball. Only 9 more weeks

that they also inject NPC's with a rage virus, giving them an unsatable urge to ram players off the roads and not turn on their fcking indicators.

Plus, with L.A. Noire coming November 14th, I'm pretty sure they'll make the event week during that time a two week event.. so a November 7th - November 21st kind of thing and put out the Hunter on the 7th along with the Nokota and then the Lazer as the last vehicle for the event week starting on the 21st. Drip feed should end by the 28th and the next update probably by mid December (12th sounds like a good bet) just in time for the holidays.

 

Pretty sure they wouldn't release a drip feed vehicle on the same day L.A. Noire comes out nor would they put out a new GTA Online update just two weeks after it launches. Makes more sense to let LN breathe a bit and then put out a new Online update about a month later.

 

And then there's the transform races which I have no idea how/when they'll be drip fed. Hopefully sometime in October rather than November. Nov's gonna be a busy month.

 

Also wonder if they'll put out just the Vigilante for Halloween or an aircraft/vehicle along with it? Doesn't seem to be anything in the tunables besides the BATMOBILE so unless we get a separate new update for Halloween, I guess they'll just re-use the older stuff.
