I wouldn't want to see LC in Online's map, it'd ruin the LC atmosphere. I'd rather they remaster IV for current consoles/PC's like they're doing for L.A. Noire, and just release some new clothing, vehicles, and other IV/LC themed content for Online.

It doesn't have to be next to Los Santos, as R* could make a separate tab in the menu titled "Online: Liberty City" and rename the current one to "Online: Los Santos" or something like that. That way you would choose on which map you want to play and players who haven't bought the speculated expansion wouldn't be able to access the said tab (it would be greyed out with a lock next to it) and be able to play on the same old map that we have now.

That doesn't really address the issue of the games engine wearing down. And on a personal level, the idea of seeing IV's Liberty City with bad driving and ragdoll physics, people on Oppressors soaring through the sky, and batmobiles makes me wanna puke.Fair enough, although it'd be still nice to get a location other than Los Santos. Personally I like both IV's and V's driving physics, and both have cons, don't they? And about the silly and unrealistic vehicles that we have now; is why I have suggested a fresh start of sorts.

Piggsy- batmobiles are not that out there. We are multimillionaires. If somebody with 50 mil wants a batmobile made, they can get one. The only questionable part is the missiles.

From what I could see from the spawned one in single player no chance, it has a rocket boost like the Rocket Voltic, machine guns that just shoot straight ahead and rockets in the front bumper like the ruiner 2000 and that is about it.

I dont think we'll get anything hugely different. Looking back at previous titles, 99% of our missions are "fetch and deliver" whether it be a car, prostitute, drugs, assassination, its drive to point a, activity, drive to point b, complete. The difference is colorful dialogue and cut scenes. Maybe a gang update would work though, include turf wars and graffiti. Maybe Vigilante missions for the Vigilante. Speaking of, what are the chances we get some undiscovered abilities for the Vigilante?

I highly doubt there even are some, several players had access to it since the update came out. Today I saw a bunch of them next to several Hunters and Bombushkas at LSIA lol.

And about the silly and unrealistic vehicles that we have now; is why I have suggested a fresh start of sorts.I don't really hate V's driving physics either (it's the ragdoll physics I hate), but IV's map had narrow streets, and I liked how the more complex driving physics suited the map. V's map is clearly designed more with racing in mind, hence the huge roads, and the arcade style physics reflect that. Would feel weird on LC's map, but each to their own I guess.

 

I think they'll go with the "fresh start" route once they move on to VI and it's Online mode, and they may add LC to that game's map. But right now a remaster of IV seems more plausible (and ideal) for the 10th anniversary. I know they said they wanted to add more maps to Online when it first came out, but at the time they didn't expect to still be suppprting the game this long, with content updates that increasingly make the game size larger, and unstable. It'd make more sense for map extensions to be made on an updated version of RAGE.

In all seriousness next year is the 10th anniversary for GTA 4 and I guarantee we'll get a map expansion just think about it..

GTA IV on mobile. Nice joke. It was so poorly optimized when it came out on pc that barely anyone could run it. You also had to deal with the stupid games for windows live. gta iv on mobile maybe in 10 years.

A GTA IV Remaster for PS4/Xbox just like LA Noire, would be the next step.

Ohhh man the perfect Christmas present would just be a massive vehicle update. Screw the themed updates, just tons of cars from classes everyone craves. Tuners, classic American muscle, more coupes for God's sake, etc. These cars with the quality and customization of Benny's vehicles or the cars we've been getting recently would be a crazy good update. Sucks it won't happen that way though.
