I'm still holding our for tuners. Rockstar did say look out for more "4 wheeled vehicles" so that could be hinting at a tuner update

R* need to slow down with the military themed updates. I prefer the earlier DLC's that had a set theme and introduced NEW content. Since finance & felonies we haven't seen any new ideas, just replicated supercars and aircraft that should have already been in the base game.

I'd actually play the game to be played if they just added in 100 new missions. Hell even if they added back in "A boat in the Bay" that would get me playing for a couple weeks :).

Hell, I'd come back for a little bit just for Pickup Sticks. I used to solo that just for the challenge.

That's all well and good, but it's not GTA. Simple as that. How about something fresh and not a rehash of the last 3 updates?

They were referring to the Retinue, Rapid GT Classic, Visione, and Cyclone.

A tuners DLC,something like the Banshee 900R and the Sultan RS update would be soooo nice,military themed updates are pretty good but..meh

I hope we get a CEO Cargo/ MC Business double RP & GTA $ soon.

Neat design concept. My only concern is without the Aircraft Carrier being purchasable the whole concept wouldn't make sense. They would have to add dock/safehouses with plenty of boat storage, but it would be kinda lame compared to Aircraft Carriers imo. Now getting some new boats would be sweet, but they could be added to the dripfeed of any update. Midnight Club Update centered on cars, street racing, and FnF style miniheists, with Power Boats, Hovercraft and Military boats (In the dripfeed) would be sweet. They could even give us a large building similar to the hangar with mixed vehicle storage. You could store all Pegasus land vehicles along side normal PV's and trailered boats. It would help us car collectors, plus bring pegasus storage/customization to the rest of the list. Boat trailers could work like the AA trailer. You get into the boat in wharehouse, then when you leave you spawn in a sadler towing ur boat. The sadler could be interchanged/customized and count as a pv. The boat would stay a peg vehicle so both wouldn't despawn, and be able to find either on the map easily.

Amen. I love GI Joe as much as anyone, but a lil variety is nice too. Plus a Street Racing update would fit the SoCal vibe, and give a break from business ownership updates. I dont mind owning more properties, but Im good on sell missions for now. Just add a whole new line of rims that are exclusive to our new garage, optional NoS systems/new paint options added by new garages, new miniheists similar to GR, and plenty of storage, and the new properties will sell themselves.

If we get a naval dlc it will probably be the less attractive one out of all of them, but be the most surprisingly fun one

while a naval based dlc would be a cool concept i feel it'd be limited in terms of the map water area, aside from a few channels it'd mostly end up being offshore based something awful like aircraft carrier aka yacht v2. in theory it'd be cool but i dont think the map allows for it in a way that'd utilise the full potential of the idea.

Hovercraft is one of the few vehicles that would make sense for the map.

Good point. Coupled with the fact that the aircraft carrier prob wouldnt get added, the water dlc seems even less likely.

I think at some point they'll give boats the same kind of love. Maybe not a standalone business like Smuggler's Run, but it'd work pretty well as an expansion of Gunrunning. Aren't all the bunkers right on a river or coastline? They could just sprinkle some water missions into the resupply and sell rotation, spawning the new boats right by the bunkers.

 

Somehow in the GTA world of increasingly-militarised criminals, there's not a single armed boat. They could add all sorts of coast guard and special forces boats with various armanents. Various speedboats, race boats, luxury boats, airboats, etc. Some classic hydroplanes would be amazing, even if they would be difficult to use on LS's choppy coastline. Maybe a landing boat that can transport vehicles. If they're really ambitious, they could add an armed submarine with surface-to-air missiles, and to counter it give all the new bombers a depth-charge bomb upgrade. And to round it off with some "ground" vehicles, they could add hovercraft and more amphibious vehicles, like a Gibbs Aquada, Gibbs Humdinga, and classic Amphicar.

According to the website order and discount unlock order its either the bombushka, rapid gt classic, or nothing like last week. My bet is with rapid gt classic since the bombushka costs way more and will prob drop once aircraft sales start dropping.

This is what baffles me. Not one boat with even a single a gun.

Funnily enough, you can't even make boat mods with guns. They just don't work, it's not possible until Rockstar recodes how the boat class works or some sh*t.

FYI, I was able to make a Ju-87 Stuka mod with passenger controlled rear turret. Something we now have had the first time with the Tula and Mogul. You can pretty much add any working part to any vehicle class. Except boats. Because f*ck boats apperantly.

To be fair, it took over two years for us to get those. They're nothing like supercars where they're there every update and always steal chances off cars that waited longer.

 

The aircraft more than waited their turn. Though yeah, some of these should've been in from the beginning, or at least a lot earlier.

Yeah well i hope it`s the Rapid GT then. I like the old Vanquish V8 looks nice from the front but the back hmm. We will see tomorrow.

I wonder if its because of the wave physics being modeled individually with no syncing like mentioned in the video? That could be a major drawback to naval warfare. Also the lack of sealife would make underwater meh after the freshness wears off imo.

God I hope with the next installation of GTA Online they can manage to add wildlife. As much as I'd like a naval update to this game, I can see it being frustrating with the desynced waves. I've noticed some weird stuff going on with the Tula in VTOL mode and other players (Tula on their screen being 10 feet above the water when I'm landed next to them)

So Bombushka tomorrow? This will be the first Tuesday in ages where I don't have enough money to buy the new car, or in this case plane. Fine with me though, I have no real use for it anyways. More excited about the Howard and Seabreeze, I only realized yesterday that the Seabreeze is buoyant and can land and take off on water. Too bad it doesn't have missles, guess I'll have to wait for the Pyro for another plane with teeth.

The problem with a naval update is that it would just be another businesses update with boats. The only dlc that wouldn't work around businesses are tuners, New heists or a night life dlc

If they cant have animals in free-roam regularly, maybe they could at least spawn in for certain missions, like shark hunting or something. Hunting endangered species is a crime after all. Anyway, as for Aquatic DLC growing stale after it loses it's freshness, that is just nature. If a Tuner DLC dropped tomorrow, people would be here talking about what a horrible and mediocre addition it was, how it ruined online, a bunch of super witty remarks about "kesh kurds", gloom doom and the death of GTA, ringing out their handkerchiefs and biting their knuckle. It doesnt matter what they drop, people on GTAF will be sick of it in a week so thats not a good reason to not include something.

 

On-topic: you guys think we're getting double money on hangar sales tomorrow?

Don't people understand rockstar would make a sell mission where you have to take 3 submarines from the docks to Paleto Bay. And you will be attacked by planes dropping bombs on you the entire way there. Something new. We have had too amany reskins of ceo and cunning stunts. We need a new update not part 69 of ceo. Hasn't been an actually new update since ceo and cunning stunts and that was last year in July.

 

Didn't fun say there was an adversary mode coming with the Bombushka plane when it releases?

I can't see how a naval update could have enough content to warrant a fully fleshed out update. The map's design doesn't accomate naval craft as a viable option to getting around quickly. If the map was spilt into smaller islands, then a naval update would make sense. But with Southern San Andreas being only one landmass with a couple of rivers, how could they give players enough to do?

You lack vision my friend. There's allot of aquatic gameplay opportunity, especially underwater operations.

 

Everything from further augmenting yachts to act similar as Hangers/Bunkers, weaponized boats, submersibles, hovercraft, harpoon-guns, off-shore missions, treasure-hunting, under water-races & DMs, and I dare say oceanic wildlife hunting and survival.

They wouldn't maximize the potential though... at this point in the games lifespan R* wants to put the least amount of effort in as possible while yielding maximum profits. It would be copy past CEO work but on and maybe (doubtfully) underwater. You guys are expecting too much. Not saying it won't happen, I'm just saying that if it does, it will inevitably be lackluster.

After SR and GR, one must wonder if we'll get a more "Peaceful" DLC. I'm all for military, but I'd love nightlife / casino. R* loves giving a motive to grief lol, what if players could kill you outside the casino and take your "chips" ?

I'm hoping we get the Rapid GT Classic, I'm far more hyped for that than the Bombushka.

 

I wouldn't mind getting both, just to get the countdown to the Hunter underway.

 

A midnight club update is way overdue!

 

I'd much rather get something like this than another business and/or military update.

 

Give me more car storage, 10-20 new cars and some well created street races and I'll be thrilled.

*If* they make a nautical/pirate update, I think it'll copy and paste the existing mechanics of the previous updates. You'll buy a pier or a dock with a boathouse, you'll go inside and sit at a computer to start supply/sale missions. Then get in a boat (or, let's be realistic here, get in a CEO Buzzard) and blow up another boat out in the ocean to steal some crates.

 

That's the formula R* has settled on. With the skeleton crew of devs still working on GTAO, it may be all they can still make.

Does anyone know how hard it would be to sync the waves between players? It seems that would be the foundation of a naval dlc imo. Im not against a naval dlc. Even if its a rehashed SR, the boat storage/customization, and the new boats would make it good imo, even if the gameplay is mediocre. But that being said a Full Blown Midnight Club Update would be much Cooler and better implemented imo. It would bring gta back closer to reality, and scratch the itch of most of the automotive enthusiast community. Plus Midnight Club had Sport bikes as well as cruisers, so even bikers would get some content while waiting on Bikers 2. For anyone who didn't play The Midnight Club Series, it had a nice mix of Muscle, JDM, Exotics, Luxury Car/Suv, Sport bikes, Choppers, Lowriders, and even Trucks.
