I'm not being insensitive, I know people have died and many lost there home, and it's happening again and it will happen again, next year it will happen again. I'm not making jokes about the dead or homeless, hell i have given to the Red Cross and the others asking for money but to just stop everything is not going to help anyone.

His message was in direct response to comments that including hurricane effects in the game would be "too soon", which would imply it being in poor taste. To which he responded with "no, not really, crap happens". I don't think he meant to diminish the IRL tragedy in anyway.

 

I would welcome hurricane effects in the game and more diverse weather events of any variety. When you think of the armed attack vehicles and unadulterated gun violence and other not-family friendly content in this game, I don't understand folks drawing the line at unsavory weather conditions.

 

If there can be a difference between IRL gun violence and games like GTA, then there can be a difference between that gif and IRL hurricanes and their consequences.

I don't mean to be mean, but we are playing a game that lets you have sex with a hooker then blow her head off, we can walk up to a cop and just kill them or any person, which happens IRL.

 

Now if it was called hurricane harvey, i would be with them. But just talking about a natural event to happen in game, that happens all over the world is noting to jump up and say "To Soon",

Not money, I took water and can goods, NEVER! NEVER! give money unless you know for sure that its going to the people, but I filled my truck up with bottle water and can food.

Boombushka it is I suppose, smart they made it release first as that will no doubt cause more people to buy it. Such a long, long, cruel wait for the Hunter... (very unfortuate about the weather, but I'd rather talk about DLC).

Yup, mbe they will give us some nice events to hold us over but don't think they will, but we may get a new tee....

 

I hope we get 2× on survials, to help on the wait.

Why should we have hurricanes? Hurricane weather in Los Santos is not realistic. Last I checked, San Andreas was in California. Haven't you people ever noticed the west coast never gets hit with a hurricane? Hurricanes are very unlikely to hit on the west coast for a few reasons. I'm well aware there are other things in the game that are not realistic. However, people were calling for it because it "happens in real life". So I just wanted to point out that it does not.

 

So having the hurricanes in the game on that basis makes no sense.

See this is the kind of thing I always wanted them to put into the VIP work. They could've made a VIP Work/Challenge that involved robbing armoured trucks

I can't believe the narrative of a possible Pirate DLC is actually taking form...

People said the same thing about Gunrunning and Smuggler's Run. You never know.

 

I'd prefer something like Nightclubs or heists though.

I would imagine trying to sync weather with a P2P system would be difficult and taxing. I mean, even bullet holes and vehicle deformation, pedestrian dialog, ect differs for each player in the same session. This is the same dev who is affraid to go back and touch old code because of how they built it..
