Anyone else wonder if we'll get some sorta spy sh*t DLC, they havent done spy sh*t yet, idk with all the agent 14 and government agents getting killed by ron you never know , it might work

If we did, it should include the Casino, a commissioned and upgraded JB700 and catsuits.

If next update is in fact pirate themed it could be neat, but if prices are in line with smuggler's and gunrunning I'll sit it out. Maybe do land jobs while everyone is playing in the water. I would never pay 1 mill for a boat because it has a gun mounted to it.

 

1 million is really not that expensive these days.. expensive is like higher than 3m.

 

What kind of cash are you raking in? 1 million is the cheapest price for a sh*tty place in my city.......

It's going to be a loooong wait until December.

It's most likely done already. Or in like 80%-95% done. Say what ever you want about dripfeed, they made it specially to extend their development process, thus in theory the DLCs are more polished... Edited by MGgames100

some one else noticed rockstar always make one big ''luxury'' theme dlc in december? im wondering what ''luxury'' december dlc theme we gonna have this year and then i got an awesome idea in my mind a vinewood dlc

with mansions on vinewood hills extremely expensive cars like a 1957 ferrari testarossa a mercedes 540k and the possibilitie to buy a set on movie set and make snuff movies and wash money etc.

I wouldn't say done but the theme is already been decided by now.

 

Have you noticed that when people asked for the Cheetah Classic and Countach before CS:SV came out, it didn't happen until after CS:SV

Have you noticed that when everyone went crazy about the Hunter before Gunrunning came out it didn't happen until after Gunrunning.

 

Moving on, I see why people complain about Dripfeed but (imo) it has more good than bad.

abilities that can be fully customized such as slight transparency, vision in the dark, stronger meele, fast runner, high jumper, better focus, health regen, make it noticable but not too op, each abilities can be customized so u could have more than 1 but at a cost of effectivness.

How about one where I literally turn into an attack helicopter? Not that I'm not one already.

 

I'm sure an adversary mode had a power up where you turned into a tank or something.

I'm not too hot on the idea of a boat DLC. Under water lair like we discussed 100 pages back, sure. But just boats and pirates? No. I don't want to have to sell a sh*tload of cargo for barely any profit while driving a tug, and getting chased by other players and the godly AI. Nor do I want to have $5 million dollar boats that I will never use. I've already been shafted by buying all the new planes, with 10 or so more coming.

Bahama Mamas West getting a grand opening would be great, as well as a GTA IV Sabre. Though getting more boats would be nice too. Myself sometimes I miss updates like the Business Update or Ill Gotten Gains which all focused on vehicles, guns and clothes. Maybe after GTAO is done with huge updates, R* really should go back to those smaller updates which would be randomly released every now and then like microtransaction content in the most hated franchise that everyone knows, but yeah, non-new ways of making money updates would be great.

I got an Idea ...Since It's almost Christmas, how about one BIG *** update, That Includes a little bit of EVERYTHING !!! Militarized Boats & Pirate Ships, Mansions/Night Clubs/Tuners.

 

BTW Skinny: You just want an Underwater Lair, so you can get a Vehicle thats Long, Hard and full of Seaman ... A Submarine!! LOL j/k

I just want a casino themed update. Even if they can't introduce gambling into the game because of legal technicalities, it'd be so cool to see some kind of 'High Rollers' update that pays tribute to the extravagance of several decades.

See, I want another business that's NOT just 'VIP, CEO or MC' again - ideally, one centred around our cars, not just stealing/selling high-end ones as just more CEO work.

 

In other words, I'd really like a Bikers-style thing, but for car crews (think Gone in 60 Seconds, the earlier Fast & Furious movies, that sort of team), complete with a new organisation type, new HQ property with custom shop and garage space included (and maybe parking spots for organisation members' cars, same as clubhouses do for bikes).

 

Make any associated Freemode stuff doable in solo/private sessions, with at least some pure PvE for a change, and that'd be the backbone of one of the best updates in years, IMO...

I have a theory the next DLC will be a "modern pirates" theme, board enemy boats or yachts and steal items or hold a boat crew hostage or something along the lines of it. Why pirates? Have you seen the tattoos that were released? 90% of them were centered around something with sailing the ocean or about pirates in general... Nothing to do with Smugglers Run AT ALL...

 

Maybe I'm wrong but it is a good theory me thinks.

 

If it's a pirate DLC, I hope we can torpedo other player's yachts.

 

Hey I mean we just got legit bombs to drop from aircraft so torpedoes don't seem out of the question at all :sigh:

I personally think all the businesses they've added have been great additions. Its really added alot of fun. I think the problem most people have isnt so much the content of the businesses themselves, but the grind that comes with it. Like these Smugglers Run missions, they are some of the most fun I've had in this game, but powering through fifty of them to unlock discounted (yet still pretty expensive) prices kills the joy quick. The abysmal payout doesn't help either. So I hope they dont stop with businesses, just adjust they payments and "required" nature of everything. I know its because they want that shark card money. I don't have the numbers or spread sheets to know any better, but it feels like they could make even more "real money" if "real money" bought more "fake money" and that if payouts on these missions were higher, people would enjoy the content enough to pay for new vehicles.

If you dont have one of these little mfs,you should definitely buy one. Its a fun little plane, for sure lol. Look at how im able to get the tail to lose control at 1:58 & 5:30. Now at 5:50 that was some nice control right there lol. Epic, I tell ya.

Quoting these two bits in particular, because they're the most relevant to my biggest gripes about the Freemode business model as it currently stands:

 

 

I have a big problem with the in-setting framing, personally - particularly when R* seems to think that ALL players are just going to go out and buy everything every update (hence why I get nagging phone calls, texts and e-mails every time I start a session, because I haven't bought a bunker or a hangar yet... :sui:). R* really seems to think that we're all happy running half a dozen businesses simultaneously, all covered by two kinds of organisation (SecuroServ, or motorcycle clubs).

 

It's almost like R* can't fathom the idea of players ...not wanting to be permanently stuck with a CIA-sanctioned underground bunker, or not being all that enthused by the idea of having LJT or whoever barraging you with phone spam. If the idea of owning a private hangar, working for a tinfoil hat type who rambles on about 'the deep state' or 'globalists' (:rol:) doesn't appeal to some players, then ...they're basically screwed over by this update, since there's nothing else (bar a few new cars) besides that. :/

 

 

As for the 'you must own X before you can buy Y', I hate that with a passion. I'd love to own an APC, but it's not worth it without the ability to upgrade/repaint it - and to do that, I need to fork out for a bunker and an MOC, neither of which I want. Same with the planes - the Nokota and Molotok are the sort of things I'd buy in a heartbeat as Pegasus vehicles, but because they're locked behind the new hangar system, I can't get them without committing to a Freemode thing I don't care for.

 

I get that making players spend a million dollars on something, just to unlock the ability to buy something else for several million dollars, is a neat trick to get more money out of players, but good grief, is it needlessly restrictive - particularly if, again, you're someone who buys things because of personal taste, and not just because that's the only way to have any new gameplay content...
