^ On paper the rogue is the best aircraft, as it has everything (bombs, flares, guns, missiles, an engine..).

It's my second favorite so far but it's not able to counter a Lazer or even escape from one. I flew the P 45 in a mission and liked that, looks cool at least :0.

No but I've dropped 100's maybe 1000s of bombs already and killed like 3 people with them lol!, they sound a lot more destructive than they are. I've been wondering what they look like from the ground. And why can't you lock onto import export cars? has that always been the case?. The base has turned into a hell hole btw... worse than eclipse ever was.

yesterday i had an idea, what could be happen in gta in the next years.

so we all knew, that the ONLINE MODE is set BEFORE the Story in SINGLEPLAYER.

and in days like this where hollywood likes to split in sequels and prequels...

its really suspcious, that we get such an huge amount of PIRATE / MARITIM-STYLE Clothing and Tattoos.

so i think that the chance is high, that R* will expand the gameplay on SEA-FIGHTS. room for that is there.

AND that will be a perfect option for an expensive update again. so why not? think about it :-D

Online is no longer a prequel it is set after sibgleplayer

Yeah I was trying Blow Up III (!) and it took a silly amount of runs to get anywhere. They sound f*cking awesome though.

 

I've got gas bombs in the rogue, that's today's lesson.

 

Export cars have never been lock-onable iirc, maybe if they guy has a bounty?

Not sure I've never tried to blow one up before, just thought that was kinda weird. Gas bombs might be more effective at least in missions. I was kinda hoping the splash damage from a bomb would be like 20 meters but it seems to be about 1 foot :p. I tried death from above and I don't think I killed any npc's before I ran out of bombs :)

R* needs to stop showing dripfeed content in the trailer.. it killed my hype when I saw the Hunter wasn't available but it's R* they'd do some dumb sh*t like that.

On the subject of bombs I have already posted in relevant topic: it's not bombs, it's reskinned grenades in terms of splash damage. Gas bombs are basically more toxic gas grenades with the same radius: useless. Limited capacity is a final nail in the coffin. As of right now, dual flak AA trailer deals the most damage on the ground and Lazer in the air (more range): bot toys are not limited in ammo, so go there.

 

I wonder if these steal missions are insurance-free on consoles?

dont know if anyone's tried the rouges bombing ability's, but i can confirm they are op once you learn how to use them

R* needs to stop showing dripfeed content in the trailer.. it killed my hype when I saw the Hunter wasn't available but it's R* they'd do some dumb sh*t like that.

 

I just wish they would stop with the paywalls, research was bad enough but now having to do supply runs to unlock the cheaper prices. I don't normally do supply runs, pain in the ass when you are surrounded by assholes. I play alone so most of the time I'm in populated sessions and now that some supply runs have you NEEDING a partner... getting beyond it now. What is the next paywall?

making it so that you have to UNLOCK the vehicles after 10 suply missions each and THEN having to do them again to unlock the cheaper price.

 

or you can unlock them without missions via shark cards.

 

boy i would be the perfect T2 investor.

All the new aircraft have specific "countermeasure" dummy nodes for positioning, something the Lazer doesn't have. So unless Rockstar somehow decided to code that via external text files it possibly won't happen. Only things that don't require model change are armor, color and handling/engine upgrades afaik.

Has anyone tested the range of the bombs? It seems you can drop them from great distances and they dont de-spawn.

Yeah they seem to despawn at anything much above building height.

 

 

Yes sir, looks like it'd be best to stay below 850ft in-game for the bomb, and that'd be Above Ground Level height rather than Above Sea Level.

 

Some interesting information about the bomb's explosive data, you can check out the major differences (to do with damage) below - should be easy enough to work out. I had another character setup just standing in the middle of the runway and out of all the passes I did, I "seemed to be more accurate or successful" with the standard explosive bombs, getting a kill every other time I passed rather than needing 3 or 4 passes for one kill when using the cluster bombs.

Aye, could you find anything for the Cuban 800 though with regards to a bomb upgrade? I recognise this aircraft could already do bomb runs in those missions in single player, but some stuff would surely be needed to add to the files or whatever to show how the new upgrades are eligible for it?

Maybe it's controlled by another file or a script or something like the damage of the Special Ammunition types (as I couldn't find any data from any file stating the damage each different type of bullet did, for example).

tbh expected tbh. the only reason it's so expensive is because it's the only jet other then the hydra that is effective in all areas of combat.

 

note that all the new aircraft are balanced in a way that most of them are only great in dogfights. even the exposive cannon of the rogue is balanced in such a way. you can't realy grief with them. with the lazer however you can.

 

didn't a rockstar dev say i while ago that they kinda regret making the hydra so OP? well thats why they made the lazer cost 6 mill. since they don't like to mess with old code they somehow didn't nerf the cannons so the price is their way to make it balanced (although you can just steal one).

 

still doesnt excuse it though. but then again the lazer should not have been purchasable in the first place in it's current state.

Air races? Bout damn time... hell yes, I've been making my own in the week leading up to SR, and more this weekend hopefully. All these new aircraft have rebreathed life into racing them again, which is nice as the map really is diverse enough to create some truly epic paths/settings for dogfights. And since the classed are divided fairly, it's balanced enough to have GTA races with all the new armed planes, jets, and heli.
