If they want to add new research projects, that would be packaged with the update file.
I can't confirm it.

Xbox first then PS4 and then PC, that's usually how it goes, Xbox guys starts commenting here saying "It's live" when us PS4 users be like "nothing yet" then we start whining about Sony and ps4 and rockstar and timezones and connection issues and the servers and whatever until it gets released then we shut up until the next one lol

Well... it IS a Hunter, but it's using a new paint shader which is not available in earlier versions of GTA V, so it's a bit invisible.

I'm curious, why are some so hyped for the Lazer? I already own the Hydra which can spawn at helipads so I don't see a need to get the Lazer but am I missing something here?

This update has me like

 

I can no longer resist leaks. I open GTAForums and unzip my pants with my other hand. As I penetrate the Next DLC Speculation Thread, I moan in ecstacy. The leaks are rough, but the info is deliciously soothing.
