Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 4)

Take two wanted more money and now r* is answering more fan wishes and actually making better updates and more money than ever (just had best quarter not too long ago) I think now more than ever, if they still don't have ideas, that they will answer the next request from the community.... So with all these airplanes and helicopter to arrive Tuesday, im wondering what the brands are for these vehicles. Buckingham makes Jets but what's with the rest. Any plane-geeks here who could identify some planes already?

next dlc is Cunning Stunts 3 (facepalm)

I mean...it's not a 'go here, collect this, return that here' DLC...

But what we really need is an update that adds more clothes of all kinds, I liked I/E's streetwear stuff but not everyone is into that sort of thing. That and Tuners.

dont think they ran out of ideas, they are just implementing the most profitable ones first.

Let's recap all the vehicles that we know so far:

• Unknown cute fighter jet - Messerschmitt ME-163
• Unknown armed Nagasaki single-person helicopter (Little Willie ???) - CH-7 Kompress (as well as other ultralight Helis)
• Unknown Armed transport jet - Possibly An-12
• Unknown fighter plane - MiG-17 and other Cold War fighter planes
• Unknown (possibly) amphibious aircraft - Grumman G-21 Goose
• New stunt plane or motor glider - Fournier RF-4D
• WWII bomber - B-25 Mitchell

• Unknown car - Ford Escort Mk1
• Possibly new Progen car - McLaren P1, 650s, 720s

We know a lot actually, 12 vehicles, when we usually get 16-20...

A Tuners update has to happen at some point.

 

The whole thing with R* naming this update Smuggler's Run is surely about to kick off a whole bunch of people asking for a Midnight Club update.

 

There was the fan-made Outlaws trailer that more than likely caught their attention and Rockstar seem to be listening to what we're asking for now too so it's just a waiting game.

A Sultan RS Retro rally edition would fit in nicely with a rally MK1 escort.

After seeing these, I can say the one who was talking about Toyota Altezza/Lexus IS300is totally right. Headlights shape match, so front grille too. Small pillar in rear door window, spliting it into 2 windows, general sharp edges and sharp, standing out rear roof pillar make it dead-shot they modelled it after that car. Taillight s come from Evo, but rest is Altezza/IS300. Only thing from Subi is optional hood tuning part. When I get home, gonna post image with parts that match a lot.

I do think a Tuner update will happen eventually and I expect them to include a wide variety of vehicles, from Hondas to hotrods.

I made a leaked smuggler's run dlc gameplay video before any other fake videos go up.

 

 

Did you notice, at around 2 minutes 23, that's the aircraft featured in the Smuggler's Run video dropping bombs? The one in the image from the news dropping bombs is the Grumman Goose [seaplane] and the customisable Cuban 800 should hopefully confirm the bombs are available for multiple aircraft.

 

I keep seeing people say that "they f*cked up the APC" I don't get it. I think it's perfect. What do you expect, to be able to spam missiles while you're driving? Y'all complaining probably wanted it to have lock on homing missiles too lol.

 

Because a) on previous games, the cannon was controlled by the player driving the vehicle, as with the Rhino Tank and b) because "Surface to Air Missile" battery should mean the missiles have some sort of guidance.

 

I'm also very curious how the Mig will be. I mean, it's an old jet, right? If they make it true to the real thing, I'd guess that it's slower than the Lazer and other jets.

 

I'm thinking maybe it's their attempt at a balanced jet? Maybe it's slow enough that homing missiles are some challenge to it, but it's tough (or at least, will be after customization)?

 

Come'on, we ARE talking about Rockstar Games here, and we know about their infamous logic. The P996 Lazer (GD F16) should be far quicker in terms of top speed than the Hydra (MD AV-8B) but in fact the Hydra can top out around 220mph straight and level, whereas the Lazer tops out around 200.

 

But, I'll remain optimistic.

 

God I hadn't even thought about it but maybe we'll be allowed to sell some Pegasus vehicles, fingers crossed

 

More wishful thinking but nah, selling them isn't going to make RSG/ T2I more money if you think like they do. It'll probably work like Gunrunning - where the vehicle is brought to a location to be turned into the upgraded, 'Custom' variant which becomes a personal vehicle, whilst leaving the original model as a Pegasus vehicle.

 

Dunno - I'm doubting they'll become 'personal vehicles' in place of one of your garaged vehicles, but perhaps the new mechanic will allow for a new menu interface, whereby you can request a 'Personal Aerial Vehicle' in the same way that you'd call the mechanic and browse through your cars to request a standard personal vehicle - so it's as if these new ~20 aircraft have their own garage to be stored in, when customised.

1st gen Toyota Celica would fit nicely with the Escort, Uranus, Karin Snipe (Supra), Jester Retro, and Sentinel Custom. Gotta have some obscure ones mixed in with the obvious stuff like Supra/NSX/Foxbody Mustang.

i think the RPG that got "deflected" is just a rocket from the hunter

To me, it looks like a standard homing launcher miss. The heli was going toward the launcher and flew passed it. The missile attempted to lock but had too much momentum and arced past the hunter. Imo.

I am wondering if we will get more cars like Escort instead of supers. I mean for sure there will be supers in the drip feed, but idk... I think that featuring the Ford Escort is a bit of a change of tide for this DLC for cars. Less supers, more sports/sedans/muscle with really good customization pls

Famous could really be replaced with "iconic" and that Civic definitely isn't that. Didn't the Lancia Stratos (Tropos Rallye) and Audi Quattro S1 (Omnis) do it for you? Only thing I'd want from that sort of category is an RS200.

If that was true then why did it arced away from the hunter? That doesn't look normal. It's a rly sharp turn.

 

Not to mention those flares - they don't look like a normal explosion.

So those are either new flares that reflected the missile or someone is shooting fireworks at hunters, in the middle of a mission...

 

I'm betting on flares.

I never said the civic was iconic. I was just speculating based on the evidence provided in front of me. And no I didn't like those other cars at all. You would only want a RS200 form the rally class? Cool, your opinion. I'm just giving mine about the Civic... smh

Fort Zancudo - impossible in case this update is illegal "Smugglers Run".

Possible - Desert's Airfield (they can add a hangar like a bunker).

It's gotta be just LSIA and Sandy Shores airfield. They're the only places with large runways for that big plane seen in the trailer. Additionally, they are the only airfields with large buildings to store these vehicles.

 

The grapeseed airfield would be fine for the smaller planes but not for the large one. The building is too small for more than a few planes.

 

Fort Zancudo doesn't make sense for several reasons... how does one get in there? Do they get a 4 star wanted level? What about the tanks that drive around the airfield? They might be in the way when you start a sale. Also jets take off and land there... Imagine your sale being destroyed bc of NPCs landing and hitting you.

 

So if its only LSIA and Sandy Shores this presents another problem. If multiple sales are going at the same time LSIA is going to be so congested. Are they going to have only one sale at a time? Cool downs?
