I'm wondering how secure the driver of the MOC will be, kuruma or DoD secure?

The one black truck pulling the MOC had heavy armor and window plating if I'm not mistaken.

I'm kind of curious how the weapon upgrades will work. Will we completely lose the old form of the weapons if we choose to upgrade them. Or when we upgrade them will they count as new weapons? For example, you have the normal Assault Rifle and then another one that is named Assault Rifle Mk2 so you can choose between them.

Yeah thats a question i also asked and did not get an answer for.

Well the main question is, will it be its own modell (like the sultan rs in bennys) or will you only change parts on the regular assault rifle like you do right now with the scopes and mags.

I personally expect it to be its own modell and you will be able to change parts on this modell (just like on the sultan rs)

Will we loose the old form?

Well i dont know for sure, but i would not expect that. Basicly the MK2 would need to prevent you from picking up a regular "AK" from npc drops but since i expect the MK2 to be a new modell it would act like a new gun. Doing this would require new coding since right now no weapon prevents another weapon to be added to your inventory. But this new coding would open up a lot of space for possible bugs.

So yeah i guess you will be able to keep the old version (i actually hope this because in case i dont like the upgraded gun i could simply put it in my gunlocker and use the old version).

Yeah the way I see it I think it's going to be Benny's but for guns so you pay to upgrade it to the new model and that new model has new attachments and upgrades you can do to it. Because the combat PDW looks completely different. I can't see us being able to just remove the stock off the weapon like it is in those frames in the trailer.

Yeah i cant see them altering stuff on the old modell, considering that they did not do it with stuff like the deamon or the gang burrito.

Also that smg shown is not a pdw but the regular smg thats in since the start. The pdw is made by coil but the gun in the shot has a hawk&little logo on the side just like the smg has.

New poll... Cool.

I voted 'Kinda' on the 1st option... Not interested in the PvP elements, unless balance is restored and abuses are removed, but interested in the theme and earning potential. The missions and toys could be great like MC contracts, or tedious like crates... We shall see...

Excited to be ahead of a DLC with the means to get stuck in from the off, will look to share as much knowledge as possible too...

I voted 'Other GR stuff' on the 2nd option... I'm keen on clothes, guns and toys of course, but the thought of a 'fully customised semi' to pull My MOC has me drooling... Possible tuned by the MOC, somewhere else, or hopefully Benny's...

Did anyone notice the gunrunning trailer had some references reference to smugglers run?

Considering that you can have 3 people shooting guns from the trailer (two people were in the trailer... in the trailer, but there's a third empty chair on the right), I guess that the driver will be the weak link. It's kinda logical, otherwise it would be a bit OP.

Still wondering what they will call it as we have CEO/VIP/MC, so i guess something short.

They said "Arms Dealers" in the newswire

Actually, it sounds more like you can run it either through SecuroServ, or your MC - no new organisation needed:

"Everything begins with a Bunker: the massive, underground hub of your new enterprise. Any CEO, VIP or MC President can jump start their promising career from here to get operations off the ground."

Funny thing is, they only showed helicopters getting blown up, so I hope choppers dont suffer too much with this update.

Yup, im not part of the whole chopper gang but sadly these vehicles will be abused (yes abused) against people using any type of choppers, especially if they're unarmed. Because there is nothing more rewarding than killing defensless people right ?

On a different topic, at first my biggest expectation was that the AA APC would be a guaranteed Jet kill but i realized that even if it could be the case, passive mode will be its biggest counter as opposed to something firing bullets. Let me explain.

You're in the jet and you hear the lock on. You know you can't evade these missiles so you toggle passive on before the hit, wait a minute and repeat until the APC is out of ammo, congrats you denied it completely and can now proceed to destroy it.

But after seeing the Duneloader more in detail, that's where my interested shifted to.

If it uses a type of ammo powerful enough to shred jets, with a range that is long enough to hit them before they do, that will be the best vehicle against them in term of usefulness in a typical jet griefing situation.

Hitscan ammo like most of the weapons in the game is the deciding factor here, as jets cannot outrun nor outmanoeuvre them unlike (current) missiles.

And if the jet pilot goes passive, it might be for good and leave you for an easier target, as it is unlikely that this kind of ammo would be limited.

Even if you can't kill it because it goes away, it's purpose would still be fulfilled. The jet can come back all it wants, you'll be there for it and both you and him know the jets can only takes so many hits before getting disabled. Couple that with parking the Duneloader in a location offering some protection or retreat point and you'll be good.

Now, my biggest remaining concern is how tough will it be ? DOD/Insurgent tough or more like VIP R2K ? I hope for something in between otherwise there is no point.

Killer Whale

What if all you need to buy on this update is the bunker and the MOC? I'm assuming the bunker will be where you develop all your weapons and vehicles. I don't think there'll be a need to buy those new vehicles, and that'll limit the access of vehicles to those who are willing to spend on the massive bunker.

I also think the standard, cannon-armed APC might have a shot against jets - especially if it has a Valkyrie type cannon.

We're bound to be able to solo that, it just makes sense (we could before) - so we could dart around between buildings when a jet's attacking, then poke out and land a shot on them.

Two points:

1. That's not my theory - that's copied straight from the recent Newswire article. ;)

2. Players with no CEO office or MC clubhouse = VIPs. R* recently removed the 'you must have $1 million in your bank to become a VIP' restriction, so now anyone can just sign up as a VIP, and they're good to go.

To add some speculation in regards to weapon customization. It's been confirmed that you can customize your 6 guns in the MOC. I'd like to think they would be discounted for those with an MOC and full price for those without. Very unlikely that you'd need an MOC just for different gun attachments.

Also what will your name be, mine will be TERMINATING ARMY

In the first release the referred to militias I think, so it will be called the Gunrunning update, but your organization will be called a militia.

Methinks if you're not already a CEO or MC captain u could start those organizations from the bunker, but you'll need a bunker to be an arms dealer.

Yeah I predict you have to be a VIP, CEO, or Biker to own a bunker. VIP=Any player, since there are literally no requirements to be a VIP.

Question is, does that mean if you are a VIP or CEO, you can have only 3 others in your Org? And bikers get 7?

Seems it would be in the persons best interest to run their gunrunning operations as a Biker gang, if you have the people to fill those slots.

Edit: Maybe they will now allow VIP/CEO to have a total of 8 just like the Bikers? That would be nice.

It will probably be locked at 4 tho. We saw 4 guys in the shooting range, 4 APCs in the water, the MOC being driven + 3 players (thought the last gunner seat was empty, but someone is in it), 4 rocket bikes dropping from the plane and 4 again on the street shooting rockets, etc.

So far, I get the 4 vibe a lot for Gunrunning.

Could be.

But I'm thinking 6. Middle between CEO (4) and MC (8).

The 4 apcs, 4 bikes jumping out and shooting etc. Is probably mission related 2-4 players.

But the MOC was being driven by a player, accompanied by 4 vehicles and probably one inside the MOC. So that's 6 players in freemode.

We can clearly see 5 players here (maybe even more in the Duneloader or the back of the MOC)

SMG weapon (What this weapon is has not been confirmed yet by the community but we agree that it's an SMG. Watch the trailer to see that the rate of fire of this weapon is slow almost like a semi auto.)

1qgqmf.jpg

well i think this gun is a heavy modified version of the GTA 4 MP596GCgiy.png

Thats not an MP5, it is a direct replica of the S&W MP 10 smg. The MP5 did not appear in gta 4. In fact it was cut before release if i remember correctly.

6vxSbVg.png

it´s the MP5

Oh and yeah it's not the SMG from IV returning, just a modified version of the V one (same as the Assault Rifle, Combat MY etc)

for me it looks very similiar to the IV SMG

Im thinkin 5. Theres 5 players driving the 5 vehicles in the screenshot of the MOC, APC, Bandito, Half Track, and Tampa. Plus theres 5 stalls in the range.
