Speculating that we'll get the XA-21 next, as it's a Legendary Motorsport vehicle. I'm not one for hypercars, but I may get one if it has a particularly good exhaust note.

Insurgent Custom > Ardent > Nightshark > XA21

That'd make sense in terms of alternating the general vehicle type (LAPV, supercar, SUV, sports car) - although R* might want to alternate sites instead (Warstock for the Nightshark, Legendary Motorsport for the XA-21, then Warstock again for the Ardent).

 

 

Or, there's the possibility that they leave the XA-21 until last, as the most expensive/probably new best-in-class for supers.

 

Any bets on which order R* ends up going with? ;)

 

1. Nightshark, Ardent, XA-21

2. Nightshark, XA-21, Ardent

3. XA-21, Nightshark, Ardent

 

Yea that's my current theory, since they have been altering between the two sites.

 

Cheetah > Technical > Torero > Insurgent > XA21 > Nightshark > Ardent.

 

The Ardent sticks out because LM dries up first.

Ardent's just weird, though - it's a Warstock thing with guns and whatnot, like the Nightshark*, but it's another '80s thing in Sports Classics like the Cheetah Classic/Torero. Was R* trying to split the difference between the 'Gunrunning' and 'not even remotely Gunrunning' parts of the update or something? :pp

(*confession time: it's taking a real effort on my part to not type out 'Nightshart' every time... :whistle:)

I speculate the next car will be the XA21, followed by the Nightshark & the gunrunning season concluded with the Ardent.

Btw, why do you guys even care about that car anyway? Doesn't look much different than any other Ocelot to me, and they're all ugly.

 

So help me god if that boring car is the new fastest super, I'm throwing my GTA disc out in the street.

Indeed. Part of me thinks they did it as a nod to sir Roger Moore, but they ran out of time & settled for the crappy guns instead of the whole shebang. I won't be surprised if an Ardent Custom showed up in the future with research projects allowing it to dive & whatnot.

I wasn't trying to answer any question - merely responding to IceDree's speculation with a 'yeah, that's not an impossible outcome', and following up with the other possibilities and possible rationales for them.

 

Once again, the only thing we can say for sure is that the Nightshark can't come after the Ardent. That's it. Anything else is up to R*, and yeah, they could defy any kind of logic or whatever when deciding it. Could just be they put the names on a dartboard and see what that gives 'em. And heck, we don't know if they'll suddenly break the pattern of 'one a week', and do multiple vehicles at once (unlikely, but still...).

 

Don't particularly care for the XA-21, personally - or the Nightshark, or Ardent. Or 99% of the entire Gunrunning update - only thing that interested me out of the whole update was the Cheetah Classic. I'm just speculating for the sake of it, while I wait for news about the next update, and keep my fingers crossed that it's a bit more interesting/varied...

^ Probably not - the current update isn't finished yet, so it's not one of those situations where a Shark card offer precedes the next release. Probably just R* making Shark cards that bit more tempting while everyone's spending on expensive vehicles week after week...

Shame R* isn't doing other cars based on 3D-era things - particularly San Andreas and Vice City.

GTA III's car design was a bit generic, but VC and SA arguably did better versions of real-life cars than IV and V - the 3D-era Comet wipes the floor with the HD-era design in terms of nailing the Porsche look, IMO (and the Comet Retro makes up for that largely by copying the 3D-era Comet, albeit with a mandatory widebody kit).

There's a bunch of classic US motors they could bring back from those games, which haven't been replaced/updated by newer versions (like the Blade/Tornado) - the Hermes is a popular and obvious choice, but there's also the Hustler, Broadway, Oceanic, etc. Heck, R* could do like the Infernus Classic and Torero, and bring back the old Glendale/Tornado/etc. designs - either as 'Classic' versions, or with all-new names.

Same deal as other 3D-era fan-favourites, like the SA Jester, Deluxo, etc. - I really, really hope that R* moves beyond just doing the high-end exotics with this whole '3D-era throwback designs' approach (and just in general, frankly!). Too much to hope that they mix it up with this 'Gunrunning 2' malarkey?

I know it would look weird, if you were able to jump like a dolphin from the underwater to surface with Kraken type of submarine, but with more streamlined vehicle it wouldn't be so weird.

 

Since there is large ocean floor designed currently for nothing and we can have barrel roll tracks in the sky, so why not have barrel roll tracks underwater? Special vehicle races for Ardent?

I bet there are lot of people who have always wanted to experience the underwater scene from the "Spy Who Loved Me" in a video game and if GTA isn't gonna do it, then who will?

I know it would look weird, if you were able to jump like a dolphin from the underwater to surface with Kraken type of submarine, but with more streamlined vehicle it wouldn't be so weird.

There must be an in-game mechanical issue because those submersibles seem like they should be a lot more agile in changing depth. They clearly have ballast systems, so an emergency blow up to the surface wouldn't (logically) be too weird, but of course it would look rather odd. Or maybe R* is just lazy and can't be bothered to make faster submersibles or to make the current minisubs faster.

 

I know it isn't a direct comparison, but attack subs can be seriously agile underwater and they can surface incredibly fast in case of emergency.

 

 

 

 

Sorry for the really crappy video quality, but it's the best modern footage I can find. That's an emergency blow from the ballast tanks. These things can be ridiculously agile.

Most likely a new patch for all platforms to hotfix the Paleto Bay Warp issue, they can't be releasing a new update and the drip feed isn't done yet.

I would like to see a bunker shooting range tier 4 star and 5 star challenge.

i have achieved level 1 only on the heavy sniper challenge, im stuck and you asking for tier 4-5 😂
I'm living in fear of them adding more mkii guns into the shooting range. I got through all of them and upon completion i had a "drop controller; extend arms upward" moment but at the cost of my nerves.

 

Edit- Carimbo, the first four or five shots on the sniper challenge should be as fast as possible to hit the multiplier bonus. Those first shots need not be head shots. Worry about the headies as soon as they're worth 45 pts a pop.

im really strugglin with this, i think the scores are too high for a console, leave no room for error.

Looks like they've updated the 271594 depot (update folder), it can be more than a fix.

Someone did say on here that is notable (I forget who) that expect the drip feed to last longer than expected, but the update sooner than you think.

 

Be that as it may, it may just be an actual update to fix the Paleto Bay Warp bug. They might not be able to hotfix it as the bug itself was caused by the last update.

 

That is a terrible bug. I lost part of a sale because a friend, who didn't know of the bug obviously, flew over there and she got warped to shore. Luckily I submitted a ticket to R* and they overpaid me! I lost 100,000 and they asked me how much I lost, so I said "Ya know, usually sale prices... a few hundred thousand I think?"

 

They gave me 500,000 hahaha. I'll take it.
