Anyone know of the dripfeed order? Seems they're doing car/warstock/car/warstock. Could be wrong.

 

Off Topic- Where would I find legit car show's/meets? Kinda wanna see what that scene is all about. Spent over 600mill on cars... Might as well.

Here's a positive

 

I went back through the thread a little and apparently the next out of the LM cars is the XA21. at least. :santa:

 

*Nvm it's the only LM vehicle left. I feel like it'll be our next car though. Hope I'm not wrong.

Well, considering that this is the model of Pontiac Chieftain I was talking about:

And the reason I mention it in particular is that Mafia II's* version of a Chevy Bel Air (the 'Shubert Beverley') uses the Chieftain as a secondary influence:

Point being, there's a bunch of similar-looking, similar-era cars R* could use as the basis of a new counterpart to the Tornado, and do stuff with that, rather than doing the umpteenth reworking of the same car. I'm sure fans of the Tornado wouldn't mind having another car to go with it - particularly considering that R*'s more inclined to do unique interiors and extra customisation these days.

 

(for what it's worth, I wish R*'s classic cars were done as well as Mafia II's - when it comes to getting the resemblance spot-on, things like the Peyote, Tornado and Coquette Blackfin really can't hold a candle compared to the likes of the Thunderbolt, Beverley and Frigate, IMO...)

Mmmmmm, yesss, you are right. More classic american cars would be awesome, classic american cars are sadly left alone in this game, and that's a damn shame. Man, add me a load of classic cars, let me get real whitewalls, and I might even buy a shark card! Mmmmm, gonna need more garage space if we get some of those....

I don't know... I'm pretty sold on the Tornado as it is, as stubborn as it may seem. I do respect the way in which the Ruiner was re-done so I'm not totally opposed to the idea so it would depend how R* would create the car. R* can just as easily mess up an entire vehicle, the Drift Tampa is a perfect example of this. I'd take classic vehicles over super cars any day so it's better than nothing at all regardless. My 5 cents: the Insurgent pick up is up next.

Reason: Seems to be the least anticipated of the remaining vehicles. Surely they cannot release the XA-21 or Ardent so soon. They must keep us suffer for a little while longer.

Either that, or the Nightshark, IMO - then the XA-21 or the Ardent (because car, to mix things up), then the Insurgent, then whichever of the two cars is left from before.

 

XA-21 or Ardent as the last car makes sense, rather than the Insurgent - one is a top-end super, the other is a top-end sports classic with the novelty of the guns. I'd say either of those is a better draw to end the Gunrunning releases than a slightly tweaked version of something that's been in the game for two years. :p

What was the Smugglers Run talk about? I don't get it.

 

"Smuggling is the illegal transportation of objects, substances, information or people, such as out of a house or buildings, into a prison, or across an international border, in violation of applicable laws or other regulations. There are various motivations to smuggle."

 

We don't have anywhere to smuggle anything to or from. I guess they could create meeting points out in the ocean like when you use the tugboat to sell off your warehouse product, or scoop up product dropped in by cargo plane? But that's more like the NPC doing the smuggling and we would just be on the receiving end. We could smuggle product into the prison I guess... IDK it will probably be SSDD "go here, kill, collect, return, repeat, sell".

 

Add a map already.

 

Give us some new paints, and Benny's wheels for all cars.

 

Add a new character slot with the body of one of the story characters and all the clothing they already have made for that character plus some reskins or artwork that already exists?

I still can't believe R* made the Ardent weaponised. What's the point in getting it when it had so much potential for racing but R* went ahead and gave it Blazer guns.

these smuggler's run hints - it's all a nod back to the original next dlc speculation which turned out to be gunrunning. in my mind these few people are using the smuggler's run hints again to tell us it might be even more gunrunning! in my mind a fairly good thing! as long as the devs never add anything more powerful than the oppressor - in any dlc.

 

and smooth longsack said it - dust blew my tiny brain with underwater villain lairs! i'd have my character reset, and do the entire grind to buy it!

 

also, dominator classic based on this incoming!

Doesn't matter, I highly doubt a Dominator Classic will ever be added. Nothing has ever indicated that will ever happen, just a man's dream for now.

But for some ultra-weak things, that can't actually be aimed anyway?

 

Has anyone ever killed another player with the Blazer's guns? As far as I know they're just like Buzzard/Annihilator guns in that they can't be aimed, but even weaker.

 

 

 

How many more cars of the dripfeed are there left to endure?

Urgh, nearly a month. Hopefully we have a better look at what's next somewhere between them.

 

I don't even really need to have the DLC (not yet anyway) - I just want to know about what promising parts there are, if there are any.

Might as well call that a Dominator Classic tbh. XB and the 71-73 Stang were pretty similar vehicles.

I fail to understand why we cannot use weaponised vehicles in races. I mean, in standard races and anything other than GTA, weapons are disabled by default and surely R* would be able to add a script or flag that disables the weaponised vehicles weapons in races so that they're forced to use default weapons and pick-ups just like everybody else. My thoughts exactly, which is why I'm afraid that the Nightshark and the Ardent won't be able to be used in races at all. And it would be nice if we could use the Ruiner 2000 in Muscle car races too, of course without the jump and the parachute.

While I do want the Ardent and XA-21, this is just f*cking torture.

 

Don't get me wrong, I love having all these new cars. But, these cars don't feel special anymore. Everyone of them are just starting to feel like the same goddamn car. I'm sick of the same old colors, the same old wheels, and still having to constantly manage my garages. I bought the Vagner the first day it came out, and I've literally only drove it twice because it feels exactly like the other 25 Supers I already own, and it's ugly as sin. And while I'm happy about the Torero and Cheetah, they still feel just kinda Meh.

 

I personally could give a flying f*ck less about this "new" Insurgent. If you ask me, it's just a slap in the face to the people who bought the original (And the Technical). And the Nightshark? All it is is a reskinned Insurgent. Nothing feels new anymore. And even though I ragged on the Oppressor when we first saw it, it's actually turned out to be my favorite thing from GR, because it actually is new and totally different.

 

And even if we do get a Tuner update, and if I somehow got my wish for a Jester, I probably won't care as much as I would have 6 months or a year ago. All these cars are just getting boring and pointless.

By this rate, we'll never see sports classics again. Appaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarently, sports classics are now 80's supercars!

 

Which in turn is a shame, because the cars they're putting in Sports Classics (at the expense of older things) are based on things from the likes of Vice City and San Andreas, which also had much better, more accurate car designs than GTA IV and (until recently) GTA V/Online - although again, that's gradually getting better, for the most part.

 

That's why I still hope for something resembling an 'Anniversary Update', even if it's just the 'other stuff' part of the next update's drip feed (like how things like the Cheetah Classic and Torero aren't really related to the whole 'gunrunning' theme) - if R*'s going to put out more accurate cars by using the 3D-era versions for inspiration, it wouldn't hurt for them to extend that love beyond just '80s/'90s high-end things.

 

There's already massive demand for things like the Hermes, Deluxo, etc. - imagine those done to the same standards as the recent Classics. R*'s really missing a trick if they keep ignoring those kinds of cars - we'll just have to hope, I guess... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
