I'd say they're their own cars. The Osiris and T20 were big at their time because of gull-wing doors and the T20 having a reactive spoiler, but it's not something that new anymore.

No and yes.

This wisdom is strong in this one

True, they do look familiar to eachother with their body design (in my opinion), but not entirely the Osiris x T20 kinda relationship. For one thing, the Vagner is RWD, and is a concept car, and the same counts for the XA-21, abeit being AWD (50-50 drivetrain). They all are different car manufactures too (Ocelot, Progen, Dewbauchee & Pegassi).

But I bet people will sell their T20's for the XA-21 though.

Cars cars cars. I'd be happy if we could just modify all the current cars like this...

Lets be honest, When Rockstar seen all of the Vehicle liveries people made for the PC version of GTA V, They seemed to add them to damn near every update after that starting with Ill Gotten Gains.

They have clearly proved to be a big hit in GTAO so I would fully expect to see much further vehicle customization in a future GTA game such as rim sizes, Custom colored paint, Decals, Interior, And pretty much most stuff that was in Midnight Club LA.

Future GTA games is all fine and good, but it's pathetic that this type of modifying didn't come with GTA V to begin with. I mean, R* made MCLA what, 10 years ago? How could they pull off that masterpiece that long ago, and leave us with the crappy poor excuse for modifying at LSC? Hell they can't even get wheel colors right, after they mastered them in MCLA. Just makes no sense. Edited by TexasRocks

The XA-21 retractable spoiler seems a lot like the spoiler the Adder should've gotten in the first place

Actually, it does makes sense - financial sense. GTA V is arguably the biggest open world sandbox out there, and by "biggest" I mean amount of activities, customization and little details all over the map. It all takes time and money to build, and extensive vehicle customization would consume only more precious money. R* didn't expect GTA Online to be as successful as it turned out to be, remember - there was time when they planned a single player expansion similar to EfLC, or maybe even few. But then, playerbase's attention moved from single to multiplayer. At this point it was impossible to redo the entire vehicle customization system, and let's be honest here - R* doesn't revisit their old content. If something gets released, it stays untouched, unless it's a bug or known exploit. Just imagine what'd happen if they actually nerfed Stirling GT soon after its release, or strip down Feltzer from its hideous precustomization and allow us to install them separately and willingly at Benny's, or something, if we ever wanted to do so.

On the other hand, GTA Online in its current shape and form is pretty much a testing ground for R*, hopefully used to improve future game(s) from the franchise. Some car interiors can be colored, some vehicles allow you to visually tweak the engine compartment, Windsor has custom pattern bodyworks, Youga Classic has 3 colors, etc.

So bottomline, I believe such expansive customization, similar to one from Midnight Club or older NFS games (remember when they were good?) was too expensive, time consuming and risky for R* to work on. Now they test the waters and see what people care about and want, hopefully to use this knowledge while developing the next title. But maybe I give them too much credit of trust - I mean, they've released Comet Retro Custom long after we started to criticize their precustomized Hot Wheels cars, or mounted machine guns on upcoming Ardent even though people absolutely hated the two gun barrels sticking from JB 700 since day 1.

I'd like to be caustiously optimistic - after all, they gave us great things as well. Look at Tempesta, which is one the few not over the top toy supercars, or highly requested Cheetah, Turismo and Infernus. And Torero, which is more like the classic Infernus we know and love from VC than the actual Infernus we've got. Or Lowriders update, another nod to the fan wishes missing good old San Andreas days. Even latest adversary mode no one plays is not yet another same old PvP bullcrap! So even if they do nothing to fix GTA Online, I have some cautious hope for the future.

Vagner owes a lot to Aston Martin Valkyrie/AM-RB-001 which is designed by Adrian Newey, bona-fide F1 aero genius. So it's close to the X80 in a way.

Even the little things like Ride of the Valkyries is by Wagner (pronounced Vagner)..

Why would you say such a thing if you're not a car guy, there are some hardcore car people here who might lynch you.

What do you actually mean? Be more specific.

Pretty sure he means the new OP super cars for the time being

Same way Osiris and T20 dominated the class at the time they came out

Nihilist, sorry, but by your business sense explanation, they wouldn't have had the time and money to put all that extensive modifications in MCLA, either. They did, and that's the point. It's not like it would've taken all new ideas and innovations, they already did it. A long time ago with much lesser technology to work with. The blue print was already set, by R* themselves. If nothing else they could've at least implemented the tire and wheel sizing, and custom paint. Or I dunno, MAYBE AT LEAST MADE ALLOY LOOK LIKE ALLOY, not this gray crap we have today. No, there's no excuse, but laziness.

Any news about something interesting coming soon?

I tried to stick with the game as long as i could, but Gunrunning was the DLC that finally broke freemode completely and made me quit the game. ( for obvious reasons )

I do miss the game a bit, i hope there is something i might enjoy in the near future.. That doesn't have any more unrealistic vehicles and isn't PVP based for once..

Depends though too...the people you play with will make or break the game.

I get bored occasionally but if playing with friends/crew(GTAF Crew).. I rather enjoy the game. Grinding doesn't feel like grinding to me anymore.

So now that GTA Online is in present time, it opens the door for some more additions to the map. No more "Online takes place before Single Player so whatever they add to the map has to be put in Single Player.". It's crazy that we've been in LS for almost four years, and seeing everything that has changed over the years. From free Biftas to over two million dollar race cars. Crazy how things change.

On a side note, I'm with you on the MC stuff. How they can make a game like MCLA with so much customization and then go to GTA V/O with a really dumbed down system is ridiculous. I understand GTA isn't a game about buying and customizing cars. But if you're going to make it so you can customize cars, why half ass it? There's a handful or more of cars that get no love customization wise. No bumpers, skirts, spoilers, nada. But you have the Lowriders and Sultan RS/Banshee 900R and other Benny's cars that get hella attention. Why not just make it so every car can be taken to Benny's? I know it's a lot of work to add in customization for over a hundred cars but if you'd done it in the first place we wouldn't be in this situation. Just pure laziness. No wonder mods are so popular.

It is what it is at this point, no sense in wallowing in what they didn't do (at least in this thread). I'm actually very satisfied with the extra options for non Benny cars like the GP1, Turismo/Infernus classics and the Cheetah classic as well. There are definitely way more mod options for the newer cars than the older, and I'm grateful we even got that.

Can't wait until Tues for the Torero... FINALLY a Countach! It may not be a 100% replica as some were hoping for, but once again, it's better than no Countach whatsoever.

The XA21 does drive pretty similarly to the T20 and Nero imo, closer to the Nero though, but a little bit more give in how it handles. Its a great car and handles bumps amazingly well. I already like it better than the vagner, can't wait for it to come out.

I'm having a look now - can't get the targeted discounts, but the general ones, definitely. Should be able to see how much the discounts were each time, too...

...okay, going by the Newswire, I count 12 times R* did discounts on offices. And curiously, most of the earlier/2016 discounts were 50% off, while most of them this year have been 25%:

2016

- July 5th-11th = 20%

- August 12th-18th = 50%

- September 9th-15th = 50%

- September 30th - October 3rd = 50%

- November 20th - December 7th = 50%

- December 8th-12th = 50%

2017

- January 31st - February 13th = 50%

- March 9th-13th = 25%

- April 4th-5th = 25%

- April 18th - May 1st = 25%

- May 26th - June 12th = 25%

- July 11th - July 17th = 25-40%

At this rate, I'd be tempted to say office discounts happen nearly once a month - 6 from July-December in 2016, 6 from January-July this year.

Actually biker businesses were discounted a few months ago, I think when we had double money on heists, and so did the CEO businesses though not at that time and only one warehouse type at a time I believe

I'm sick of this stuff already, and there's months to go. Then again, I was sick of it before it was even out lol. Just want something with what I want. It's like I'll just go through the updates - "next, next, not that one - next" - it's boring.

Well at least drip feed isn't as bad, at least of me. Excluding Technical and Insurgent, every vehicle is at least good. Still I think that GR sucks. Its copy-pasted formula is present throughout the entire update. Clothes, vehicles, gun customization and business itself.

Not to mention the ridiculous prices.

Thank God for the mods in SP.

Ray's Occult Books

I'm debating whether I should throw in the towel with

Grand Theft Auto Online,

It's no longer a game I want to keep playing long term as it's no longer enjoyable.

The Gun Running DLC was the final insult to seasoned fans of the Grand Theft Auto franchise,

This expensive and blatantly reskin of past DLCs has destroyed any credibility from Rockstar Games in my humble opinion,

The addition of more weaponized vehicles has just gave more tools to the trolls.

After giving the Gun Running DLC over a month to settle in before making my decision,

I have concluded that things are only going to get worse, with vehicles like the oppressor,

However I have enjoyed the small crumbs of comfort in the form of drip fed cars,

but sadly that enjoyment has been outweighed by the whole atmosphere of the game moving towards a more fantasy and childish approach,

people's hard work of endless grinding is for nothing,

The incentive to attack other players and to troll sessions has become more of a priority than playing missions.
