I think Rockstar did a bad move by categorising these retro cars as Sport Classics,

 

These cars should of been Super classics or Retro Supers, in my humble opinion they could of made a new car class.

The Penetrator which is basically a Jaguar XJ220 was unveiled in 1988 and was in production from 1992 to 1994,

But oddly it's part of the Supercar Class,

same way with the Progen GP1,

Both these cars are from the same decades as the Cheetah Classic, Infernus Classic,

Turismo Classic.

I agree there should have been a new Classic Super (or whatever) class.

 

But even without that the GP1 and Penetrator were wrongly placed in the Super class and should have been Sports Classics, imo.

Well R* did say they were going to add fan favorite GTA classic cars. And i dont recall a 70s prototype being in any classic GTA game. You really shouldnt be surprised.

As I recall the Toyota Supera copy

from San Andreas was called a Jester, correct me if I'm wrong.

It would be nice to see a greater resemblance to real life counterparts when it comes to cars in GTA. It's not that it's all bad right now, but still (as of lately R* did a decent job in that sphere).

 

I don't know is it me, but many cars seem like some cheap chinese rip off. In my humble opinion it's mostly due to the fact that the game is still being built on the basis of an outdated platform environment such as PS3 and Xbox360.

It's like car models are somehow defected by default, their proportions are a bit off. It just seems to me thay way.

 

Sorry to be a bit off topic here, I got carried away with all this talk about cars.

Gunrunning finally comes out, so OFC next dlc thread goes back to being sh*tpost central... never change guyz.

 

I speculate we may actually get the Hunter in the next update or two. I have been championing it for ages with Happy and the others, but interest seemed to double right before and after the update. No, not just here either. I have seen youtube videos, comments, tweets, and even heard from randos in game about the Hunter. Usually older fans of the series, but i think the desire is growing for sure. If there is a sequel to GR, i think they'll finally add it.

Technically he's right, there is no continuity error when there is no continuity at all between two stories. A continuity error would be for example the fact that several vehicles changed/switched name between GTA IV and V for no apparent reason, like the Huntley/Baller and the Packer/Hauler. In the same way, many vehicles changed manufacturer (coff coff, Classique..).

Given the 2 previous games to V,

used Huntley for the Range Rover and RR sports model.

 

I'm sure Rockstar knew what they were doing in their infinite wisdom.

Well this thread is going nowhere... So I gonna copy what I posted somewhere else but it fits here

 

 

 

 

 

Yeah if we ever gonna get Pegasus Customs I think Anihilator should be one of the firsts to get the "custom treatment". It's the most useless heli in gtaV

 

and instead of explosive rounds I would suggest additional miniguns (it worked for weponized tampa).

 

 

Custom Buzzard would also be nice since it's the most popular thing to use... Just think about it

We already can customize almost every big vehicle that would normalny be in the Pegasus category (APC, Phantom, MOC, Technical, Insurgent). The only things that are left are planes and helicopters.

 

and we have to remember how R* works. They always copy ideas from last dlcs so they can improve it slightly:

 

- They remade Crate runs to crate Bikers (resupply system)

- They ramade Bikers to create Import/Export (storing vehicles inside your business)

- They remade I/E and Bikers to crate Gunrunning

 

 

So lets thing about what could they use from gunrunning in the next big dlc?

 

- They created a whole new system for customizing big vehicles that you couldn't normalny upgrade in a normal shop (moc, AA trailer)

- New system of unlocking and paying for upgrades and liveries

- New bunker that can be used by CEOs and Bikers with 4-5 closed doors. Clearly its a hint for future upgrades (remember how we got garage upgrade for the office?)

- Ability to change Pegasus vehicles in to custom versions (Insurgent and Technical)

 

 

Conclusion - Gunrunning part 2 will be about customizing even bigger vehicles like planes and helicopters and using them for another set of "mini heists"

In addition to that, attack helicopters are currently terribly underpowered since the Oppressor and the explode rounds have been added. An armor upgrade wouldn't be bad.
