At this point, i gotta admit that fan-made trailer served more hype than this trailer. This trailer was nothing compared to I/E and FAFF. This is more like Heists trailer vol 2. I didn't get hyped by the trailer... (Not saying i hate the dlc.. It's free and new stuff is always acceptable and awesome) But still it doesn't hype up... Not to mention the Hunter... Rockstar is stupid.

Some statistics btw.:

GTA Online Gunrunning Trailer had ~47 000 Likes with its first ~600 000 views.

GTA Online Import/Export Trailer had ~46 000 likes after ~6 700 000 views.

 

So people really seem to like Gunrunning and its trailer, this is ought to be a very succesfull Content Update.

well i think this gun is a heavy modified version of the GTA 4 MP5

 

Thats not an MP5, it is a direct replica of the S&W MP 10 smg. The MP5 did not appear in gta 4. In fact it was cut before release if i remember correctly.

With cars that's true, but 99% of the time with guns they take one model and just copy/paste it. Look at this and tell me it's not an MP 10 if you want, but it'd be like pointing at a cat and saying it's a dog.

If they wanted to, they could increase the map size. (Or add another island you travel to via the airport) After all, Rockstar San Diego increased Midnight Club: Los Angeles's map by 1/3 when they released the South Central Expansion DLC.

I do however agree that it is based on the MP5 but it definitly is not an MP5. Its basicly the same the the norinco type 56 (the gta 5 assault rifle) that looks like an AK 47 but is not an AK 47.

I have a feeling one of the upgrades is going to be adding armor peircing rounds like in the AP Pistol, for most guns. One scene in the trailer shows a cargobob exploding from what appears to be just shots from two people with assault rifles.

I have no intention of telling you that, but look at the two - there are changes, enough changes to avoid a direct copyright violation. Guns are smaller than cars so there's a lot less that needs to be changed to avoid lawyers complaining.

Im well looking forward to this dlc as much as i would love the hunter myself i honestly can't wait to blow sh*t up with the new vehicles

I always assumed it was more a Ferrari LaFerrari situation considering I've never really noticed anything that would indicate it was armor-piercing such as increased damage or cover penetration compared to other weapons.

Not to go too far off on a tangent, but it's also worth pointing out (having been binge-playing GTA IV lately) that R* was a lot more 'eh, whatever' about the kinds of cars they mashed up back when designing cars for IV, and even some of the cars that came with V at launch, compared to Online cars.

 

(see also: Nissan Z31 300ZX front on the Ruiner, Mark 1 VW Golf front on the Rhapsody, whatever the hell was going on with the likes of the poor Chavos and DF8-90... )

 

 

Granted, we still get head-scratchers like the FMJ and the Itali GTB from time to time, but I suspect that on the whole, things have gotten better (Elegy Retro Custom, Infernus Classic, GP1, etc.) in terms of 'fidelity to source' largely because of the heavy emphasis on player ownership in GTAO. GTA IV car customisation was practically a throwback to the days of things like GTA III, and 'ownership' was limited to 'whatever you last parked outside your safehouse'.

 

Now, cars are a major part of players' long-term investment in the game, and often due to people wanting to own the nearest cars to things they like in real life - hence why DLC cars have largely been getting more accurate, as well as more detailed (particularly things like custom interiors on recent cars, and of course, Benny's customs).

 

That also likely explains Special/Weaponised Vehicles - they're largely replacing Pegasus vehicles, from the looks of things, and thus you now have Pegasus-style vehicles that you can still customise and see in your garage like regular personal vehicles (and thus feel like you actually own them, not just 'renting' a generic NPC thing). That, and all the very specific movie/TV references - for instance, if you're going to do a Knight Rider knock-off, might as well go for as close to the real thing as possible, or else why bother at all. Like with regular cars, it would seem that R* knows that players largely prefer it when vehicles lean closer to their real-life/on-screen counterparts.

Before Virgin McZitFace in the Hydra he bought with his mom's credit card shoots your ass down? you do realize attack helicopters in this game, despite 0 armour ain't completely useless against jets, right? I've taken down several jets with the buzzard and the Valkyrie's front gun. And the hunter def wouldn't be as weak as a lil heli like buzzard. It would be the next cargobob in terms of durability, whenever they decide to add it tho. It would be the first helicopter that can seriously fk up jets and/or make jet pilots on their edge. They really ruined jets in this game tho. Hydra used to be a fun attack aircraft in sa but now it's cancer in the online community due to being op. Same with the lazer. Op. It would be nice to have another land mass that was separated by water so that cars had to use a ferry to cross, or you would have to have purchased vehicle storage on the other land mass if you wanted to fly across. Perhaps have a large section of the city like Venice that required boats to move around.

yeah but that could be too much data to load on a single map. i wouldn't mind if there was a loading screen to be honest. like back in vice city there was a loading screen when crossing the big bridges, this time just add a loading screen when going through the airport.

 

i was just hoping before gta 5 came out that this was how it was going to be. a single player story on 3 levels or 3 maps/cities. and then an online version with those cities...

It all looks a little to army for me, but I will buy it all anyways. lol

Probably won't buy any army clothes though.

 

Bunker and MOC looks like fun additions, one can never have too many properties.

That wouldn't be too bad. Just like there are people wishing to get more "normal" cars, I would like to get some civilian aircrafts too (just not luxury ones, we got too many of them already).
