New gun

Not a new gun

I figured you would say that. We disagree. No worries.

I guess a better point would be, release at least some of the more desired cars WITH the actual update. Then maybe us car guys wouldn't get so annoyed by the wait..

True. But it was a gunrunning update.

Then they could always dripfeed some actual new guns...

Actual new guns coming with Part II, I'd imagine.

Where are you getting Part II from? Or are you assuming there will be one...

Well they AREN'T new. They're updated EXISTING weapons with minimal improvements aside from the MG and Sniper.. I do love them, but let's at least be honest.

You cannot consider them new if you already owned the Mk1 versions, as they are gone forever. I miss my heavy sniper and combat MG with 10,000 rounds.

A new gun would look different and sound different. I feel they are new. Not into to convincing anyone. Just the way I feel.

They are new (updated) models. Different specs as well. I wouldn't consider them reskinned due to the changes made in the mechanics also. More variations of ammo types.

They feel like brand new weapons although they are (upgraded)... To each his/her own.

I don't have specialty ammo on my combat mg. When I run out of explosive ammo I spawn my Oppressor and see if I can get to the MOC with one jump.

By that logic... going into LSC with a car and putting body mods and performance upgrades on it makes it a new car. Which I don't think anyone thinks.

Benny's upgrades are the same way imo. They make those cars look like a new car I never have driven. Even though they are (upgraded).

I "had" to put FMJ on it due to its range making it best for passing/attacking vehicles.

I put my Carbine back to standard ammo just to have a MkII gun with more than 400 bullets.

For me personally, my biggest problem with the new guns (which I do consider being new guns) is the fact that they replace the old ones. I wanted to keep my MK1 with my VIP tint and have the new improved one as well. If they had to replace weapons due to restrictions, then they could've at least taken some of the more minor damaging sh*t guns nobody uses. If they do a pt.2 of Gunrunning, I hope they don't replace the old guns (but they most likely will).

My ak has fmj and my carbine has armor piercing.

But it's the same gun lol...just a newer verision or modified version. Yes it's two separate models, but it's the same firearm.

My working hypothesis is that FMJ do everything AP do plus penetrate armour. Look forward to some science here.

Yes. More testing is needed.

The guns don't look the same. They don't sound the same. New types of ammo.

I count them as new guns.

Can you keep both versions of a gun or is it like a upgrade?

You probably know this but you can always downgrade them again
