Okay, I'll do this again:

 

13th is the release date, for obvious reasons. They don't seem like fans of E3, so I bet they just want to get the spotlight.

 

6 new cars because that's the most I've seen on the newswire images, but I'll give Rockstar the benefit of the doubt.

 

17 missions, between MOC buying/selling and Quick Menu missions. Now, I wonder if by number of missions, Yan referred to the variations of the gun buying/selling missions done from the MOC. Like for example:

  • Go to location, pick up weapon, instant 3-star wanted level.
  • Go to location, weapons have been stolen, recuperate them from thieves.

8 modifiable weapons. I don't see Rockstar bothering by modifying 17 weapons, so I'm guessing they'll modify the ones that are worthy of a redesign. And it's a reasonable number of modified weapons.

The vehicles we've seen in the screenshots will not be dripfed. We will have to unlock them by researching certain technology via missions.

 

However, this doesn't mean there won't be other dripfeed vehicles. Helicopters?

I was gonna give them 8 vehicles, but 8 weapons sounds more reasonable. Then again, I just said I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

If it's less than 17 weapons I'm going to be very disappointed. Even 8 is not enough. There's like 80 weapons right now in the game, would be such dumb decision to allow new mods only for 8 or 6 of them. 17 is a number that would cover the most popular guns from each type.

well get ready to be disappointed, there wont be 17 new weapons(rifles, handguns, etc etc)

 

i say 5 new new, the rest could be mods for current weapons, like the heavy sniper in the screenshot that has some tint, new scope and shorter barrel.

Gunrunning so far feels... "reskinned". From every angle - from clouts to vehicles.

I rly hope they only showing us the tip of the iceberg so far.

Well educated guess. We know that gunrunning is heavily inspired by i/e

- 8 special vehicles
- 8 miniheists for every vehicle
- and i/e didn't dripfed SV's

same thing will happen with gunrunning. Just trust us.

No doubt in my mind that we will get a dripfeed, i don't mind this however. I'm assuming we'll get some armoured vehicles in the dripfeed. I'm hoping rockstar throws in the go go monkey blista and slamvan into the dripfeed also. Maybe even a sneaky hunter as the last vehicle?

I SPECULATE that the Weaponized Vehicles might be like the I/E Special Vehicles, where they are all included on day one with civilian vehicles being the drip feed content.

You can't measure possibility, you can only measure probability. And speaking of possibility, it's impossible that weapons will be drip-fed to us. Not enough moment in them to keep people interested in game for such a long time. We've got a lot of weapons already and with that simplified (if not primitive) physics a lot of them are feeling the same.

Import/Export introduced Special Vehicles and that developed into Gun Running.
Now Gunrunning would introduce customized weapons.

inb4 they allow modders to submit custom skins and GTAO turns into CS:GO

I personally think that the design Rockstar decided to choose fits more the "armed vehicle" theme, since it's directly based on the U.S. Army's DPV (or FAV). This makes me suspect that some of the weaponised vehicles will have to be upgraded from civilian models (like the Tampa), which is also suggested by the fact that several "real" armed vehicles are instead based on already existing vehicles with drastic modifications (for example, the Duneloader has been heavily modified to look like an M3 half-track).

Talking about the Patriot "P1", I think it being branded as a weaponised and allowing it to have several customization options (with the weaponry too) would make this update the best occasion to release it, and it would perfectly fit too. If my previous guess is correct, we would probably get a civilian PV model too.

Yeah I take it as a given that there will be a drip, the question is what, and how much more than what we've seen so far. I think you're probably right about the WVs all coming at once, but then again we only have 1 update so far to use as a model, so wouldn't surprise me if they did something else. Bottom line: I'm curious how much more there is that we haven't seen, particularly if that includes aircraft.

I think it would be cool if we could crew color our guns with emblem patterns
