My Tyrus stays, not sold on the GP1.

 

My bet is we get classic cars in this update and they release them weekly to torture us as R* usually does.

We clearly have to download a title update for the Progen GP1. So why would you release a 10mb update for dlcpacks with just one car model inside.

So hell yea, we're getting a bigger update (in size), only one car of course available to purchase immediately and (maybe) some clothes. The classics (Turismo and Infernus) will be in the update, just unlocked at a later date.

It's almost the same as the Lowriders: Classics update (or lowriders2 in dlcpacks).

3 Adversary Modes, New clothes, 2 new weapons, 4 classic cars available to purchase immediately, 3 unlocked after event weeks.

I think it's safe to call this Cunning Stunts: Special Vehicle Circuit (or stunt2 in dlcpacks).

 

And the cars are locked because of only one reason: So GTA youtubers can make clickbaity titles like "NEW GTA ONLINE DLC UPDATE HIDDEN FEATURES, PROGEN GP1 SUPER CAR SECRET DETAILS & MORE GTA 5 CONTENT!"

3 months gap between updates, sheesh!

 

Since SV raced are in March; then the gunrunning update is in June, C* likes June for updates.

 

Hopefully, there are more cars to be drip fed in between than what they announced.

 

I mean I keep thinking we won't get anything for GTAonline after October when RDR2 comes out.

Yes it has been a drought since I/E. We're almost through the dark tunnel of waiting for the next update though.

2017 is going to be another consecutive year of exciting updates as rockstar confirmed and communicated to us. That's a luxury, friend.

 

In my opinion I believe that 2018 will have enthusiastic support for updates in GTA Online. I'm going with my gut feeling, my instinct tells me that the shareholders invested in take two interactive (and Rockstar) are going to determine the saga of support and free updates.

I bet that Rockstar has an arsenal of concepts that they wish to implement into GTA Online (even if they physically are bored of creating content and are sick of Take Two constantly looking over their shoulder) At the end of the day it's their game and Rockstar will always have another concept they wish to realize for the community.

 

I cannot imagine not getting any new conceptual updates in 2018, not talking about event weeks or a new car here and there.

It's easy for me to be optimistic when I think about how Rockstar operates.

Hmm - random thought a minute ago (long ramble, but bear with me):

I'm firmly of the opinion that R*'s now at the stage where they take things year-by-year with updates - as in, they'll plan up to and including December of each year, and see how the player numbers/game sales/Shark Card purchases are doing. If those are still healthy, and the game's still making significant bank, they'll commit to another year, and review things in 12 months' time.

In other words, when people with inside info from R* say 'Executives was meant to be the last update', or 'Import/Export is meant to be the last big update', I'm wondering if that's not actually an over-simplification of 'the ______ update is the last update we've committed to at present' - i.e., 'we've made plans until the end of the year, and then we'll see if it's worth carrying on beyond that when the numbers come in'.


Where this relates to current/forthcoming updates is this:

If R* is indeed scheduling updates on a yearly basis, and at the end of the year decides whether or not to keep going, that most likely means a longer gap between December's year-end update (which has been a big one for two years running, now - presumably in case R* decides to end with that one, so they can end updates on a high note) and whatever the next thing is, because they'll need time to come up with some new ideas for the next year of updates.

That idea holds up when looking at 2016 - we had a fair bit of asset re-use right up until summer, with the two racecars (both based on existing cars), Be My Valentine (tweaked versions of the Valentine's Day Massacre stuff) and Lowriders: Custom Classics (existing cars with largely the same modifications as the original Lowriders update). The more substantial stuff didn't come until June, with FAFF, followed by Cunning Stunts in July, and so on for the rest of the year with Bikers, followed by Import/Export as the big finish.


We're kinda looking at a similar situation now - a bunch of stunt races out of the blue (which, like adversary modes, can just be cobbled together out of existing assets), some slightly modified stunt races coming next week (so again, most of that is using things already in the game), and instead of 'half a dozen variants of existing vehicles', we're getting 'one all-new vehicle'. It feels like the same kind of 'stalling for time' move, while they work on the heftier content for later on.

As for what that means for the other cars mentioned, and the arms dealing thing? The latter is 'gunrunning and more' in 'Spring and Summer', so ...maybe one by May/June, the 'more' by the end of August? Bit like FAFF and Cunning Stunts, only paced a little better (as in, not only one month apart, followed by a big gap until October! ).

For the classic GTA cars, though, I'm in two minds: possibly as a smaller, stand-alone update, or maybe there's something coming in a few weeks, hidden in the Special Vehicle Circuit title update. Depends on whether my '20th Anniversary Update' theory holds up - if not, it could be that they're coming as hidden content next week, but if so, R* did mention "other blazing-fast rides such as the Progen GP1 supercar", so it might well be that there's more than just the one car coming next week (or in the weeks after), not including the fan-favourite GTA things.

They'd be very "special" to turn down even the bare minimum profits (annually) its very hard for companies in this area to turn profits, let alone for multiple years with the same game, but then again these are the same ass wipes who have consistently turned away from potentially triple cards sells (maybe annually) By not listening to us.

Look, I think they are more concerned about what we can't have than what they can sell us.

 

The proof is no mansions, no jet packs, no pets and they still have "black listed vehicles" and still no map expansion. if they were interested in profits, this sh*t would've been done. No, sir. These pickle kissers are only interested in saying no.

Imo, if they're investors knew , truly knew what they could be making, the might try and force Bert and Ernie out.
