Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 3)

I'm kind of worried gunrunning will come on the 13th or the 20th. The 6th is fine for me to wait for lol but the others man we have waited so long I just want to play gunrunning the other dates don't really make a ton of sense so I'm thinking the 6th but at the same time the event weeks go until the 13th I'm not that patient anymore I used to be but now this is getting to me now I cant wait anymore why can't we play it by the 6th litterally everything should be done by then the dlc the verification why make us wait an extra week? I know its not confirmed but I don't know what to think. I can't wait anymore we have waited so long for this dlc. If you guys could say reasons why you think the dlc will come on a certain date just tell me I need to know lol! So much waiting

Not exactly middle, ingame the event is advertised to go up to the 5th however they seem to have combined 2 of them which has caused this whole mess in the first place.For all we know the second event just continues on with the same bonuses as the first one and alters other stuff like discounts or even keeps it the same(honestly don't see a point in that).Its an odd one but wouldn't write off the possibility.

 

I'm definitely not writing off the 6th. I just feel like the 13th is more likely. I am however writing off the 20th.

They actually updated that advertisement loading screen. Both dates say 12th.. I guess 6th is no longer a possible release.

I think both the 6th and 13th are wrong. I think it'll be later. I think there'll be a lot more than what we've seen. Maybe a second newswire post, then a trailer, then finally releasing it.

 

Could be wishful thinking though (not it being late, but it being big and having more to it than what we've seen).

Yan already said it passed approval on friday, so its locked n loaded waiting for R* to pull the trigger. The last Massive update was Dec13th (I/E), so this has been brewing for a long time. CSSVC was only 4 cars, basic filler to keep ppl happy till they drop the Motherload.

Why does everybody think the 13th is the most likely.. imo it's the least likely hell the 20th is more likely then the 13th... i think it will be the 6th rockstar posted coming in June just to be safe same for the event week cuz at that point it was going through the certification process and a day or two later the process was done... they can release it in the middle of an event week it's not far fetched....btw I think people are kinda going overboard with speculation sometimes... Well I/E and SVC came out like 12 days after their newswire announcement and a sorta official release date the Thursday before the actual release with bonuses throughout the weekend to "prepare" ourselves.

So it should have been on the 6th but they f*cked something up. The discounts they advertised had June 5th while other languages had June 12th but now apparently they fixed it.

 

We'll see if there's a new event week tomorrow. If not, we might have to wait for Thursday or the next one.

I'm not really - I'm hoping this will be huge, and actually worthy of the massive name.

 

If its release is just around the corner, then that doesn't leave a lot of time for more info. Which could suggest there's not much more info to give. No one wants that to be true.

I feel he coulda been one of the housers testing a new form of viral marketing tbh. Once he was established as legit, he quit leaking. If he was a senior dev making tons of cash he wouldnt risk his job to leak to the douche bags on 4chan. Reminds me of a guy who was a millright at Ford motor plant makin 80k/yr who got fired for stealing 6 rolls of toilet paper out of the bathroom. R* fired the benz for nothing, like they wouldnt fire a dev for leaking all their plans on the web.

I think you're right actually.

 

I guess I just want to know beforehand if the stuff I really want isn't coming. If I find that out on the day it drops, it puts a dampener on the DLC. If I know before, at least the sh*ttiness is out of the way, and I can try to appreciate the APC, even if the other stuff's not there.

I know the chance is very small, but would love to see this little fellow becoming buyable.

I would love to see that little guy roaming around a bit more, maybe a mission or restock could have you disguise yourselves as security guards and use him to roam about till you find what you wants, could give Rockstar and excuse to make a private security outfit with the handcuffs and all

Well i actually want to be able to own it. If they dont want us to have a merryweather logo car, well then replace the logo with a securoserv logo on the buyable version, problem solved.

Its a fun little car and I enjoy driving it whenever I get my hands on one of them.

Well what i think we can take from that is the fact that we cannot go over 1 and half week between initial gunrunning post and another newswire post like bikers or a direct surprise release like I/E

No. it doesn't seem like the Titan or Cargobob will ever be useable in that way unfortunately. What i was thinking they could do tho is have work/challenge missions where you have to parachute onto a titan to hijack it. There would be a corona on its back that you have to hit in order to activate a quick little cutscene that has you taking it over. Then after the cutscene you are flying the titan and re route to an airfield where you unload the cargo for transport to your warehouse.

 

 

 

Other than hijacking a Titan mid flight, there are a lot of other ways they could get more creative with the "travel to destination, kill everything, steal everything, return home" scenario.

 

I also had an idea about yourself (and number of associates if any) loading into a shipping container (supposed to be full of guns) that gets Cargobobbed to a location (Port of South Los Santos) where a deal is supposed to go down. When the perspective buyer opens the container you (and your associates) shoot your way out, steal all the buyers money/guns/or special vehicle, load back into the container and return to your bunker/warehouse.

 

I was really surprised that they missed and opportunity to use car haulers in some way for the I/E update tho, so who knows.

So we will get release date announcement this week? If they do like previous few release date announcements it will happen on Friday or even Thursday

i'm lowkey hoping for something tomorow but i think it's to fast after the previous post.

 

Biker DLC was announced Monday Septermber 19, release date was announced the 27 (the next tuesday) for a release on October 4th, the next week. If we do get an announcement tomorrow, I can only hope it will follow the Bikers DLC logic... And yes, events can suck a dick, if they want to release it mid-event and do surprise buttsex to people grinding for the DLC, they can do it.

 

 

They did same thing with CS:SVC annoucement on March 2nd,9th was release date announcement and 14th it was out we could see some new info this week... however they did announced FAF&F May 27th and release date was announced in same article ...

Do we know for sure it was a mistake though?

 

I think there are more important nerfs and buffs. Like, buffing the Savage, etc.
