@ Personal... You misunderstand me, if they were to confirm the Hunter was not coming, as it is such a hugely requested vehicle by many, it would cause some that have waited to maybe lose interest in the DLC, maybe the game too this far in... By not confirming or denying it presence is what's causing all this hype for it man, to show a glimpse on the trailer would stimulate the senses wildly, but they want these sales to get over first, the majority of players don't look here to see what's coming, I've even spoken to a dozen guys that don't even know Gunrunning is coming...

 

Drain a bit from them players, the majority, with the sales, confirm the Hunter in the next trailer/info... The ones that want it will either grind hard this weekend or will buy cards ready for its release... Simple marketing, IMO...

 

Me personally, I want the hunter, not as much as others, but certainly will be a fun addition to the game.

And I'm misunderstanding this whole thread.

 

If it hasn't been confirmed nor denied, or even mentioned by R* any point, why are people suddenly running with the fact that it's gonna return?

 

One guy gets his hopes up and suddenly every one else does too. Crazy.

 

Just because it happens to fit in with the theme of update, that doesn't mean it's dead set to be featured in it at all.

Nobody and I mean nobody is running with the "fact" that it's gonna return. We have hopes and it certainly would fit, so can you please stop with the trolling and baiting to start a flame war all the time?

We know you're against it and would love to rub it in everyones face if it doesn't come....

 

Listen, the sign on the screenshot says "Los Santos AIRBASE bunker".

I think it is safe to say some kind of military helicopter/plane is going to be added, whether it is going to be called "Hunter" is irrelevant.

@xablau8 depends on the amount you play. But with the discount on cargobobs, and a cheap warehouse you can rack up a nice couple a mills before the Gunrunning dlc.

The "massive, mobile command center" will be a separate entity from the bunker. That much is obvious based on how they worded the newswire post.

 

I do like you suggestion of maybe it being an add-on to our yachts (if we choose that option). I have a feeling it will be something completely new to purchase however.

You could just hold triangle if you're alone and it will let you operate the guns instead of driving. Not a huge deal.

 

Unless of course they don't let you get into the passenger seat/gunner seat without a friend driving. That would be a joke.

( if its strictly AA and a 100% guaranteed jet killer ) i cant help to wish the missiles layout was different:

There was a lot of information in the newswire post. I'm surprised to see it hasn't been dissected word by word yet.

Quite a few things stood out for me. Mainly the bit at the beginning. I think its been confirmed for us that gunrunning is it's own group, set aside from Bikers, CEOs and VIPs.

Also. Will it be more than just guns? It said to stay tuned for more details business and research opportunities.

yeah I think it's a separate thing that everyone can buy. Maybe you can start missions regardless if you are a vip/ceo/biker

or maybe it's a new organization, something like "mercs" or "gunrunners"

 

but I'm wondering about this part actually:

why would an online property bunker be "mysterious" ? I wonder if thats a little hint for mt.chilliad mystery. Maybe a new easter egg is hiding within gunrunning?

Besides, people asked for cars to return from GTA IV, and the only two we got were the Virgo "classic" and the Faction, and half the playerbase forgot these two exist.

As someone mentioned before It can be anything:

Rear firing mortar? Mine-layer? Defence flare launcher? Smoke screen? Anti-tyre (spikes) dropper? Hnnnnngg... Somewhat excited."

After Duke o Death came back to online I remember a lot of people asking for tampa o' death or dominator o' death (was it Mach? don't remember now)

Mach specifically asked for a classic Dominator similar to a '69 Ford Mustang Fastback, not a weaponized Dominator.

 

And no, it's still a "yet another armored/armed muscle car", even with the modifications and gun options. Besides, why would a land vehicle benefit from smoke screens or a flare defense system? It's gonna be the exact same thing as the Ruiner 2000 with machine guns and rocket launchers as options, but it'll lack a parachute jump thing and will have the benefit of the Duke o' Death's armor.

 

It feels like the developers felt tired from switching between their Ruiners and Dukes and decided to merge instead for maximum autistic screeching.

I heard the long hair and big beards cause clipping issues. As for the clothing its probably designed by a male dev. I feel your pain since most cars are designed by non car guys. Example: a BMW M3 that is slow and sounds like a vacuum cleaner.

Well, it's always nice to have new content, but not into the whole military bullsh*t, military content tends to be OP and players use it exclusively to annoy others, plus, there's no civilian vehicles announced, which really makes me think there's nothing other than the new business for me on this DLC.

 

Hope i'm wrong, but this is not going to be my kind of DLC.

Idk maybe they just thought it was a cool idea, not everything is based on fan feedback. People love the Ruiner 2k, and the Duke O Death. People are always suggesting Max Max styled vehicles. 1+1+1= Armored Tampa.

 

To be honest the Tampa is the only thing I have seen that interests me at all.

 

Oh and I was definitely not the one who wanted an armed Dominator you're correct.
