From the looks of things, they're discounting vehicles that might have a new alternative in gunrunning.

 

Tank - APC

 

Ruiner - Anti-air APC

 

Insurgent - Armored Duneloader

 

A bunch of attack choppers are also discounted. I'm taking this as a good sign.

They always do this. Discount relevant things right before an update to get people to buy things that will soon be useless.

Agree with the Hydra point though, missed that one, still, either way, hoping this event goes until the drop, and we get the goodies.

Well I woke up to good news it seems.

Everyone's all hyped up - I'm like, what the f*ck? Where the f*ck is the f*cking Hunter?

I don't know. I'm not liking this yet. Seems like the theme is Mad Max and military (APC, anti-air thing on the military side - then that goofy Tampa thing on the other side).

This is still meh for me. They've got a lot of things I've suggested - the APC, the anti-air tank (I was one of the main proponents of that actually). But they haven't got the only one that really matters.

I'm just going to scale my hopes down.

They won't show you everything in a newswire post right away. they never do. Wouldn't it be better to see it for the first time in a well made trailer? Slowly peeking out in the background? with a good music? a proper reveal you know. Just day(s) before the update. You waited so long. Don't spoil yourself now!

and if not with this update - there's always the next one. Just think about it - Hunter was on everyones mind with this update. It got so much attention that R* will surly add it sooner or later. Just wait.

And it has CATERPILLAR WHEELS!

Relevant to the theme of the update, but will be made obsolete by new additions. If these weren't already in the game, I could see them being added in Gunrunning.

What could they mean by Mobile Operation Centers? Does that mean a moving base like in the back of a Dune-sized truck where you can handle many of the Gunrunning missions instead of the bunker? But it's a Mobile, so it could be either by sea or air.

 

 

I also think that the "massive mobile command center" is either the aircraft carrier or something similar on the water.

That makes sense.

I mean, what else would it be? A big truck?

Idk but possibly a big plane? I just don't see it being a ground vehicle.

 

 

After CEO update (and after bikers, i/e) a lot of people complained that they have to go back to that laptop to start everything over again. Maybe R* reacted to those complains? I can see couple possibilities:

 

- new upgrade to yachts. You pay extra couple millions and now you can start missions and call Pegasus vehicles (so basically ceo office/MC on water).

- Shamal / Nimbus plane with a laptop inside (maybe something bigger if it's gonna be massive. personal titan with interior?)

- Big armored truck (something like dune truck?) with a laptop inside.

- or by "mobile operation center" they simply mean bunkers and you can pay and move everything around the map (the same way you do with yachts)

a bunker right next to the desert airfield? Nice! Perfect place for me. I would love to have that one. Would fit perfectly to my Grapeseed clubhouse and my yacht (parked next to the quarry/lighthouse). Everything close.

Looking back, I guess I may have jumped the gun on announcing the Hunter hope dead. I mean, it's not like they've never held back from showing vehicles on the newswire. Like that Ruiner 2000 that we're promptly reminded about every day.

 

 

 

 

The shield/emblem on the sign (well, there are two of them actually) - is that the same as the one on the Savage?

Maybe customizing the Savage? That'd be cool.

 

well theoretically they could do that (if this update brings heli customizations). Changing paintjob/texture and stats would be easy to implement. But I wouldn't expect any model changes on old vehicles. To much work with that.

Na, I think the Hydra, the Insurgent, a Valkyrie with a good team or the Ruiner 2K will stand up, others too, these vehicles already here are gonna have uses somewhere still, be it the freemode griefers out there fighting us with them, or if this DLC does something unexpected, like allowing much more flexibility with Pegasus vehicles, possibly storing them or customising them...

 

I do hope there's a bit more to it all than a retooling of CEO, MC, I/E and the like, something really fresh in there somewhere, you know?...

Oh those bunkers will be expensive as hell, maybe purchasable for 3 ie 4 mil, but then you want the firing range (add 1 mil), the costumshop for pegasus (add another 1 mil), assembly line for the weapons/arms busibess (add some millions depending on possible upgrades) and maybe accomodation for 900k like the office..

Was just saying the same thing to some crew mates. I can't see any way all that comes in with the base purchase price.
