Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 3)

Though i honestly do expect the first info tomorrow or monday, i honestly would still nog get pissed if it ain't happening.

 

If there is no new update before spring ends though, then i think it's time to get pissed.

Gunrunning is confirmed to be dropping before spring ends per Rockstar. That's unless their was a delay they haven't announced yet.

 

It looks like they're finished with Gun Running (at the time i'm posting this)

They haven't updated QAbeta today, might be a sign

Scenario 1: The Patriot C. isnt there so, I would be extremely annoyed to see development time wasted; on a freakin jet no less instead of making it... And then fly around with it.

 

Scenario 2: The Patriot C. is released and i notice a week after that there is a new jet cause i was too busy cruising with my new toy. And then fly around with it.

On topic: I wonder how people would react to a new jet? What about one that - somehow - isn't that overpowered? Like, a well-balanced A-10 or something.

like every other pegsus vehicle. If its not more powerful then something that came beore then people would try it out for first couple of weeks then they would go back to the old ways.

 

but I do wonder about that random mallard buff we got. What if gunrunning brings us what we always wanted - a Rustler

or a Besra with weapons. Wouldn't that be a good counter for jets?

 

a new toy that outruns HL with no problem (similar to mallard) but it's more of a danger to other planes and helis but not to players on the ground. Just remove explosive rounds and add extra damage to jets.

Where does it say that they'll release a trailer on Friday? What we're most likely getting tomorrow is an announcement about Gunrunning and a release date, not a trailer. They will most likely release the trailer a few hours after the DLC releases like they've done with Bikers and I/E. Don't remember if CS:SVC followed suit but nonetheless, tomorrow's newswire will have new event week info for a short Memorial Day weekend sale along with Gunrunning info and most likely a release date of 6/6.

A A-10 would be useless if the Hydra and Lazer are not properly rebalanced. And since we know R* hates fiddling with old content, that rebalance is not happening.

 

So they could add a A-10 to drive up shark card sales, but the jet griefers would Just comeback to the Hydra and Lazer, but now with a couple of millions less in their Bank.

Which then would cause more bitching, like usual.

 

OR they could try to be smart for once and do the following:

-The new jet doesn't have cannons, or the cannons pack regular rounds;

-The new jet is more agile and faster than both jets, and has extra armor to survive explosive rounds;

-The homing missiles are as effective as the homing missiles from the Homing Rocket Launcher (which have closer turn radius than the Standard Homing missiles from the old jets).

 

So the new jet is a effective old-jet killer, but cant be used against ground enemies.

So, am I the only one over here who originally thought the 13th will be update day and still thinks that, regardless of what a bunch of randoms say? Not looking to change my mind or anyone else's...just wondering?

Honestly an a-10 would only have a purpose if it gets exclusive access to ruiner 2000 rockets, can fire rockets at the rate the savage can, or both.

 

Honestly, if it were to happen, i rather would like it to have the option of "both".

 

Even then, i would probably still be using my hydra for most things, except for maybe targetting vehicles and of course, missions since holly sh*t, just having a helicopter floating around some area and then spamming guided rockets to kill npc's with is just way easier then killing them with a jet.

Looking at the poll i honestly think no.

 

But i personally can not help noticing the tunables got first updated more then a week ago and there is pretty much nothing yet planned to happen next week.

 

if the latter thing stays the case, i really still would be thinking 30 may will be D-day instead of 6 or 13 may.

I like how a bunch of people here are claiming LC would work, but haven't even tried making maps for the game, let alone take the time to understand the map manager.

Yeah, everyone completely ignore the fact that a group of modders already added it... but a professional team of developers with practically unlimited resources doing it? Impossible.

 

 

Could RS do it? Sure. Does it make economic sense to do it as part of a DLC (i.e. you don't charge full game price)? Absolutely not.

 

I'd pay for a map add on. Would be better to spend $60 on that rather than 3 Sharks cards that give you barely any money.

And this is exactly what I have been saying. I say it makes no sense for RS to do it from their perspective and you analyze it from the consumer perspective. SMDH.

I agree. It doesn't seem like Rockstar cares about the upcoming games from other game companies. They're quite chill about that subject, really.

 

R* have their collective heads too far up their own asses these days to even feel slightly threatened by another game or company anymore.

 

Now i feel like we should stop discussing about this before Kirsty or Reddagger nuke the page.

So what do you think the grind method will be for gun running I know we got harvest and bake for bikes stash and sell for crates and steal flip and sell for CEO cars so what do you think it may be take and mod guns

bunker up and shoot the crap outta hydras coming into your bases trying to steal the weapons you stole from them, the military at your doorstep so you heat up the doorbell and they can't ring it multiple times, then when they break in to your house they trip on marbles and when they try to find you sitting on a tree you nuke them with an rpg and a sticky bomb falling into your pool filled with cash.

Tiny Racers had a trailer but it was not a standalone DLC. It was packaged in the CS:SVC DLC and was appropriately nicknamed "Top Down" if I'm not mistaken.

There is no point in putting something inferior to the Hydra in the game. Once word gets out many simply won't buy it.

- Qabeta will be updated 13 days until 30th May (first update began one day after the beginning of the actual event)

I keep thinking with all the money in gta they put in some big ticket items that cost what the yachts cost. I have no idea what those might be. Maybe the bunkers themselves.

In the USA, we have Memorial Day weekend which is why Rockstar created a long event week to lead up to a short event weekend.

 

It's not dropping until the 6th. They always release DLCs the first Tuesday of June. Trailer will drop on the 6th as well.
