I don't think any company did unless they were rivals of some sort and I don't see GTA being rivals with Far Cry at all.

R* have their collective heads too far up their own asses these days to even feel slightly threatened by another game or company anymore.

That's almost entirely irrelevant. Stores aren't accpeting more copies if they aren't moving. The game is still selling truckloads years after launch. on Steam it's pretty consistently in the top 10 selling games for PC.

Where does it say that they'll release a trailer on Friday? What we're most likely getting tomorrow is an announcement about Gunrunning and a release date, not a trailer. They will most likely release the trailer a few hours after the DLC releases like they've done with Bikers and I/E. Don't remember if CS:SVC followed suit but nonetheless, tomorrow's newswire will have new event week info for a short Memorial Day weekend sale along with Gunrunning info and most likely a release date of 6/6.

An a-10 would be cool, really, the concept of that thing is just amazing, but i would probably not buy it since i do not see it serving much of a purpose with the current jets already being pretty much fast tank/vehicle destroying savages.

 

edit: if they would add a new fighter jet, i still do not know if i should even care, since i doubt anything could take on the current jets...and even if they can, well...it would probably be pretty much the same concept of the current jets, meaning an other explosive canon noob tool that just needs to be owned.

 

Currently i am not even sure if the lazer at warstock would be such a disaster even anymore.

i would find it very refreshing to get a plane that isn't just another business jet.

 

srsly the last few aircrafts besides the carobob that have been added has been nothing but business heli's and jets.

 

give me something big and impressive but slow.

Gunrunning is confirmed to be dropping before spring ends per Rockstar. That's unless there was a delay they haven't announced yet.
