something that will always get ignored by long time players. At least if it's something like double$ for VIP missions.

 

offtopic:btw, what's up with 25% limit on discounts besides sharkcards, cuz we got plentiful ways to earn cash ingame such as from I/E, Crate grinding? kinda miss those times when things were half price off.

If they're smart, they'll do this.

Even 50% off the stuff would still be insanely expensive, and I'm sure a majority of players would use any Heist money they earned on the stuff.

 

I have 40 mil, so I'll just go ahead and buy the ramp vehicles and armored truck if this happens. For the Fortify VIP work, and to just have them available in my collection.

with that rdr2 delay a spdlc could fill the gap. just like fun 'brought up'. yan also 'mentioned' it a while ago.

 

they can use some stuff from online (all weapons + new ones and some cars + new ones; selling those new content in online later), 1 or 2 new storylines like the iv dlc (makes sense fun n yan) maybe with zombies like the rdr dlc (with the san andreas characters as zombies) and some last-of-us and the-walking-dead inspiritations (which could include the whole existing map in a useful way).but no map expansion. i'd pay full price for something like this.

 

i mean t2 and r* are right: customers (i) will buy rdr anyway whenever it gets released but i am absoluteley sure the shareholders wanna see some money at the end of the year.

I'm not gonna touch or even read that discussion about map expansions... I covered that topic it to death. We have 2486 pages. Use the search option and you will find more then 100 identical conversations to this one. I not wanna repeat myself for the 50x time just to prove someones right or wrong

just tl;dr - creating a new map is not just about copypasting the old map model from IV. People have no idea how time consuming it rly is. Just think about creating all new pathways and behaviors for every npc, traffic, parked cars. EVERYTHING. Not to mention new cutscreens and voice acting

When they are making a new GTA they ALWAYS start by choosing the city first. They take pictures and gather ideas for the team. You know why they always start with the city and the story first? Cause that part takes the longest to make and its the hardest one.

if we are ever getting a map expansion - it would mean that they ware working on that sh*t from the day 1 and every other dlc we had so far - its just a cover screen to keep us busy...

Heist part 2 is not profitable enough for R* to make (voice actors, cutscreens, dlc about making money) but you think they will spend 200x more time and work on a whole new map just for free?

The event doesn't really matter to me. I've already stockpiled 40 million ready.

 

I just badly want info on Friday. I don't know how well I'd cope with having to wait even longer. Just sick of waiting, and not knowing whether or not this update's even something special or not.

Anyone seriously expecting a map expansion is taking the speculation way too far! And saying it's a worthy topic because it can't be disproved is like saying we should all be worshipping baby Jesus right now

People are saying it because Around launch The Benz mentioned it and said the engine was built for it. He also said something to the effect that they had familiar places in mind for the future. Also we know that a Rockstar dev was working on something related to LC because he had art from a high res central park from IV in his resume. Maybe it means something, maybe it means nothing, but the speculation is not without reason.

 

A big map expansion three years into the game? Better pony up some real money for it. Them giving it away now would not be borne out by shark card sales, too many people I know have quit playing and/or sold their copy of V. They're not going to buy it again and pay for dlc. We'll be getting one more update but it won't be an expansion, kiddies. Just my gut hunch but it's a strong one.

The player base in online was higher in December than it ever has been, at last announcement to stockholders. It has sold 80 million copies, 5 million of those between the first of January and the end of March. Of this year. Years after first release.

 

Hopefully your gut is a lot better than the assumptions you are making about how well the the game is doing!

I don't even care, I'm more interested in the event week right before Gunrunning drops.. i.e the event week running from June 2nd to June 6th

 

As for the one starting this Friday, I just hope there's some decent bonuses on freeroam work whether it be I/E, Biker Sales or even VIP Work.

 

Just please.. no.. more.. stunt races and adversary modes.

If we do get a biker sales bump I really hope they don't fix the current product glitch.

I may be wrong here but didnt it also include houses outside of LS?I don't remember houses, but i do remember that it introduced the marksmen rifle, the heavy shotgun and two bikes and a car, it changed few things in the matchmaking system, so no it wasn't a small update and it came out on a Thursday.

You are right. Those houses did get introduced to us to live in during that update. It gave us 7 new safe houses. A few in Paleto Bay. I should know, I bought one house there immediately. They also let us use the carnival rides to have fun riding and also gave us several new features.
