So what do you think the grind method will be for gun running I know we got harvest and bake for bikes stash and sell for crates and steal flip and sell for CEO cars so what do you think it may be take and mod guns

Im thinking maybe multiple ways. Ceo has two methods. Maybe stockpiling crates of guns for shipment later, and stealing large military vehicles and selling them immediately. Maybe an mc style business for manufacturing small arms n ammo. I usually sell my i/e vehicles immediately anyway. Or how about a "Shopping List" for warlords. Deliver a brikade full of guns n ammo, a hunter, and an apc before time runs out.I cant wait to check out the bunkers to see what type of functionality n minigames r included. Ceo has DCTL, while mcs have arm wrestling n darts. Also what kind of modshop is included, gun range, in house ammunation, and SV storage. Im super hyped atm.

Maybe they are saving the six star wanted level for map expansion. The map would get added to everyone's game like normal update content but you can only travel there if you purchase a private plane/heli/boat that costs $8M-$16M in game ($99-$198 Shark Card cost, since Megalodon limit is two) that would allow unlimited travel between maps. If you try to travel there by any other means you get the full six star treatment.

While not THAT simple, it is definitely possible for a Team like Rockstar. The map still holds up to GTA V's in many aspects, although it could use some higher quality textures, props and what not (something which I am sure they have).

But without new missions and activities it could get old real quick. Just the map wouldn't work.

 

 

Actually, it is that simple and it wouldn't need a massive team of devs.

Forward porting of previous game assets is pretty straight forward aslong as it's basically the same engine. Get a texture artist in to improve the models textures and reskin them, if they are really bad or noticeable. Quick config change to update them to the newer engine updates and erase any erroneous code and bobs yer uncle.

 

How do I know this?

 

Because I've done exactly that before with another game title. It's not as difficult as one would imagine (any monkey could be taught how to reskin, aslong as they have a modicum of brain matter, Modeling on the other hand is a skill of which I blow chunks at ) mostly you're just going to point the model at the new texture.

Not sure what program they use for terrain building (l3dt, Terrain builder, World generator or more than likely an inhouse program) But as it's has not changed since GTA IV or RDR then it's minimal work getting the old map to run in the new game. Just make sure that if it's calling for a model and a texture, that the model and texture exists in the game files. (config sh*t) But nothing near redoing a whole brand new map.

 

And don't get me started on the mission side....GTA mission are fairly generic and simplistic. Drive here, kill npc's, collect item and return to map marker. Not much is done in mission other than that and any voice acting bits are usually phone calls or cutscenes. And thats where the time would really be taken up. The mission itself would be a couple of hours work at most.

 

RAGE has a powerful editor which we see a little of ingame (race creator/director) and you could knock out missions with relative ease.

Plonk down some NPC's with a few triggers to "react" to what the player does. maybe some waypoints so the protaganist can flee and you chase them etc etc.

To all those holding out for a map expansion.. Would you not agree that R* ought to utilize the full potential of the current map first?

Looks at the Be Lucky Casino in Vinewood.... so is that building just made out of cardboard or what because it has no depth or reason to be in the map in its current state.

 

I am not going to discuss the casino with everyone here again, I do want a map expansion but yes there are many assets in Los Santos that are not realized to their full potential.

I hope they add more spaces to the SV warehouse by way of removing those pump engines or whatever they are. I would rather that than having a separate space for whatever new SVs are added. Maybe it will be a combination of that (for SVs) and a new style warehouse (bunker or hangar) that would house a few gunrunning specific SVs (slamvan? dune buggy? heli?). And definitely believe we will have a more complex gunsafe style addition to the new property like maybe a work bench where you can add/remove owned attachments and tints. Is it really unlikely they add dual wielding? Also, how'bout a briefcase with an uzi mounted inside, or a guitar case gun? How'bout some cosmetic vehicle mods like guns in the trunk (like the sub speakers and hydro tanks) or gun racks for the rear window (like lowrider plaques) or center console shotguns like in police cruisers???

 

I hope not when it comes to the SPV Warehouses, it would be better if the new vehicles are Pegasus branded.

More SPVs means the new content is restricted to Freeroam only.

 

I give R* credit for not mentioning that the current SPVs were Freeroam restricted.

Had they announced that prior to their release, not as many people would have bought them.

 

However R* did go the extra mile to patch the bypass/glitch which allowed players to use SPVs in missions & such.

A really arrogant & @sshole move, given those vehicles did not bring any op factors, considering we already have tanks & helicopters.

What about the DLC that will come in fall ?

We should discuss the eventual map expansion dlc. Im hoping for LC and North Yankton. NY would be amazing to go into the snow whenever you feel like it. Do some off roading in the snowy mountains.

my vote for gunrunning is for late may so i say, short weekend event with 2X on everything ceo that goes from friday til monday with tuesday release.

no trailer, no announcement!

Exactly cuz for I/E they did not release the date they just teased in a tweet on Monday and it came the next day.. imo it makes the most sense to come out on the 30th

I mean ya but we already have night vision for sniper scopes on next gen and I'm guessing pc.... u just zoom in then press on the d-pad.. but I agree a thermal scope would be nice

What is this talk of a map expansion? "Where's your proof that it isn't coming?" Where's your proof that it is? Just because Online makes Rockstar bizank doesn't mean a map expansion is coming. That's what the next GTA game is for. They'd probably make it a paid expansion, and that'll split the fanbase. Little kids would riot because they couldn't get it because mommy or daddy cut them off. And a split fanbase means less money coming, and Rockstar wouldn't stand for that.

 

Here's an idea: if you don't know if something is coming, don't talk about it as if it is. The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence. Just because you say something is coming doesn't mean it is. I could say tomorrow it's going to rain unicorns who fart cottage cheese. Doesn't mean it's going to happen. Some people take this speculation thing way too far. I'm not saying you don't have a right to speculate, I'm just saying you saying something is coming doesn't make it so, and jamming your fingers in your ears and shouting down any dissenting opinions is childish.

People talking about map expansion, if R* cares about "continuity" it would need to make it to story mode as well since GTA:O takes place before story mode. Unless they don't care about pieces of land or buildings vanishing in a near future. That would be kinda weird to be honest as none of it was there during the solo story, unless of course it's NY far away off shore.

 

Anyway, hope we get news real soon. Coming here doesn't help, but what is someone has a real leak, how would I know if I skip a day. Never skip a spec day.
