What about the DLC that will come in fall ?

We should discuss the eventual map expansion dlc. Im hoping for LC and North Yankton. NY would be amazing to go into the snow whenever you feel like it. Do some off roading in the snowy mountains.

There will be no map expansion DLC.

You honestly can't claim that... We don't know if there will or will not be a map expansion.

So... it takes months for R* to release some cars and clothes... but people are still holding out hope for a whole new map? Do you know how much work that would involve? Not to mention we're also talking about last gen vs current gen assets, how that data is handled etc.

 

The possibility is extremely low to non-existent there'll be map expansions for GTA V. There's a greater possibility for something like this in RDR2 or GTA VI; but even then the possibility would be low.

 

It's also possible the next DLC will be about Japanese schoolgirls chasing down senpais. You cannot say for sure that is never going to happen, it is a possibility after all.

 

Right up there with winning the lottery and the playboy playmates breaking into your house and demanding you teach them how to love.

Knowing Rockstar, the first announcement of Gunrunning will be that it's delayed and is coming in a few weeks or so.

What if they do something like the Ghost Recon Wildlands Narco Road Expansion? A separate tab that puts you in LC and only keeps your character's current clothing(the guns are left behind). You would start off at the airport then do whatever you please. For example there's the "online" tab and next to it would be "online: LC DLC".

Well, I don't claim to know it's coming. I don't write cheques I can't cash.

 

I hope it's coming though, and - with the gunrunning description, along with the fact cut content has been tampered with,

, as well as how widely-requested and talked about the vehicle is - I think there's a good chance it's coming.

 

Nowhere have I said - in a serious manner anyway - that it's definitely going to come.

 

But if there's an update for it, it's this. And it's one of the only things I have interest in right now, so I'm going to continue to hope it arrives.

Don't take the bait just ignore them, if they haven't understood it yet they probably won't..

I also think it's a big chance it will come now but if people don't want to understand it's no point trying to explain them, we see the same people baiting all the time and I think it's odd that they're allowed to do it..

We are days even hours away from a massive dlc yet you guys talk about youtube clickbait sh*ts. No one knows anything about GUNRUNNING even? Why the hell are you guys judging or talking about a futuristic dlc? WE HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT GUNRUNNING.... It's not the right time to argue about an expansion dlc. The only people who should do it is youtubers. I don't hate on youtubers! They create fake content just as any business out there and feed their family. I know there weren't any promised updates beyond Gunrunning mentioned yet, but this definitely makes me slightly more comfortable knowing Gunrunning won't be the last "hurrah" of an update this year or for Online in general.

With rdr2 being delayed till spring 2018, there's almost no way gta online support won't continue into at least beginning of 2018.

The day GTA Online stops lining Rockstar and Take-Two's pockets is the day it'll stop being supported.

I think some people here has phobia to create a bad attitude and has joy of it. How can you say that since Rockstar delay RDR2 It will impact GTA. What makes you all so sure? What makes you think that Gunrunning is the last dlc? It is so funny that you don't even know what Gunrunning dlc is yet you know when gta ends or which is the last dlc. I think it's a phobia, you guys kinda like to bring up bad and negative toughts and live with it untill you get the opposite so you make yourself happy. Please... Is it really necessary to talk about gta's future when we can't even talk about gunrunning?

That way, we'll never be disappointed. When you expect bad stuff, and bad stuff happens, you can say "knew it!". When you expect bad stuff, and good stuff happens, you'll be pleasently surprised.

Well.. one would assume that when RDR2 was slated to come out in Fall 2017, Rockstar would naturally stop "heavily" supporting Online and focus on RDR2 instead.

 

That was until Strauss Zelnick confirmed it to not be the case but you can't really fault others for assuming Online's support may have been coming to an end with nothing beyond Gunrunning announced and RDR2 having a release window of Fall 2017 before the delay was announced.

 

Now that the delay is out of the way, it looks more promising for Online until RDR2 comes. Not to say it won't be supported after that, just not as heavily as it's been the last 3.5 years and most likely the year between now and RDR2.

I doubt they will add a new map until the next version of Online comes along. My gut feeling is it would have happened by now if at all.

 

What they could do though is alter the existing map. The building sites could be completed, roads could be added or removed etc etc.

 

Just like a normal city evolves over time so could Los Santos.

 

Sandy Shores for example could be turned into exclusive holiday homes, marina type place - think Monaco or similar.

 

Hell, they could even remove a mountain range and add in a smaller city if you forget about realism for a minute!

 

It would be great logging in now and again to discover small changes to the map that hadn't been announced. It would make the world seem more real.

I'm expecting the trailer on release day just like the last three updates. I'd like to be pleasantly surprised and get it five days before release like they used to do, however.

And it doesn't ruin it for anybody, because anyone with an ounce of brain who wishes not to be spoiled about any aspect of DLCs, simply already is avoiding the thread.
