When does Gunrunning release nothing is on newswire for me

Current popular speculation is may 30th or june 6th.

I thought it was going to be today

 

I wish lol. my female friend on ps4 wanted to earn more $ but heists xp is over. So we woke up today expecting more bikes and got nothing. Pretty disappointing r* tends to delay and not release deliberately. The new update is done and has been tested

Not sure if you're new to how things work with online updates, but this isn't the first time Rockstar used "militia" or "latest military hardware" in a description.

They've used "military-grade vehicles", if I remember correctly. That has a distinct, different meaning to just flat-out "military hardware". Military-grade means it's as good as military stuff, as far as I know. Whereas military means as much as you'd expect.

 

 

You have to remember gta timeline from heists till now is only a year. Its not like the military have improved much, since heists.

Its been over 2 years actually. Also, how much the military might have improved is kind of irrelevant, seeing as we didn't get many current vehicles anyway. A Hind, a Huey, etc.

 

Heist also was latest in military hardware, and it's only been a year (gta timeline) since heists. So we still have the latest in hardware bud.

The Huey most definitely isn't the latest in military hardware lol. They were using those in Vietnam.

What is it with (mostly, it seems) new people barging into this thread claiming they know exactly what is in store for Gunrunning.

 

First we had Lex yammering away claiming that GR is going to be a full-on military update with a large fleet of tanks, all while bashing anyone who questioned his claim. Now we have this guy claiming that GR is going to be a full-on redneck/MadMax -themed update with no proof to back it up, all while bashing people who also question his claims.

 

Until we get solid, definitive information from R* or the game's coding, NO ONE has the right to claim with absolute certainty that they know what GR holds in store.

What I was getting at was that while Lenny's saying they've called things military before, they've never actually called stuff specifically military - just military grade.

It's roughly based on reality. One of the most iconic aircraft of the Vietnam War - they're not going to decide that that's a modern helicopter. At all. They even refer to the Vietnam War themselves in its description.

 

So no - the Heists update isn't strictly the latest in military hardware. I'm not sure any of it is even vaguely modern to be honest. Perhaps the Insurgent?

But, the description in the newswire is one of the most hopeful for an update there's been yet, aside from maybe heists. So I can't help having that hope.

"High-powered military hardware" can allude to many things, counting out the Hunter in an update like this (while also taking into account the fact that it was a cut vehicle just like the Hydra AND there's audio of it that was said to be tinkered with not too long ago) would just be silly. Sure, it's in no way shape, fashion or form confirmed but if there was any update to finally put this vehicle out, it would be Gunrunning.

 

We'll just have to wait and see on June 6th. All I know is I'll proudly taunt those who 100% believed it wasn't coming and won't mind if it comes my way should the other way around happen... although I never was one to confirm its release. I'm just neutral.

Ah ok I see, admittedly the Rockstar newswire and social media people tend to have a real salesmen vibe to their posts. I personally don't put much stock into anything the 'wire says. "Blazing fast rides" apparently means the Ruston, a relatively slow car. "coming soon" means a year later. I more or less just wait for the screenshots, the words don't mean much as far as I'm concerned.

the description means close to nothing, and ok the valkyrie is from Vietnam. Everything else like the savage is up to date. Therefore that theory is shot man, the savage is our hunter for now.
