Instead of retarded priced shark cards, wouldn't it be better to have p2p colors/designs for cars, guns and some outfits or accessories(unless it gains advatage in some ways) it would be perfect!

No. The one thing I can say that is positive about the current system is that everything's accessible without buying a card, with enough time put into the game. Adding stuff that's only available if you pay money on top of the $60 original transaction is not a good idea.
How is it not a good idea when i explained that it would be goof if it doesn't gain advantage? Just like camo's on Call of Duty.

1. You buy amazing arts made buy rockstar for your cars, weapons or even knives! Or more.

2. You support them a lot.

because paying money only for a cosmetic thing that doesn't add any gameplay value after paying for the game itself is a rather frowned upon move in the gaming world. Now if it was a big dlc with new Gameplay stuff and bonus items then it can be accepted. besides rockstar is already supported enough with the influx of new players and shark cards there is absolutly no need and excuse to lock things behind a real paywall.
Think like this; Hunter gets released, with 5 or more Heli camo's even chrome or gold anyways. Then there are cooler ones which needs more attention and artists to get it done. It's not just to them but also to the artists who will make camo's for knives, weapons and military vehicles.

Every form of content locked behind a paywall is a bad idea in my opinion. Hiding cosmetic items is not as bad as hiding gameplay content (weapons, cars, missions) behind a paywall but it is still bad.

nah, would totally pay $5 for RBG colors, shine control and rustiness controll.

@hecate: Thats a modder using an npc modell that you can find at fort zancudo. Thats nothing unreleased.

I was talking about rifle camo tints. I played GTAO for 1600 hours so I'm aware its NPC military outfit thanks you.

Easy cowboy, I think since the picture you included in your post only had the player with modded outfit, which didn't showcase the rifle camo tints you were mentioning.

Let's be full of Hugs today (Easter!) instead of Thugs.

Speaking of a lighter mood, has anyone noticed how the thread seems less spammy and antagonistic?

No more or less of an antagonistic atmosphere IMO. Still the same few factions shamelessly jerking themselves off (Helisexuals UNITE!).

Off topic: anybody else enjoying the footage of the retards beating each other up in Berkley yesterday? Bafoons on all sides, especially the antifa and nat soc Dbags. It's like a pussified version of the peds riot cheat from the 3D GTAs :D

How many people besides me are actually more interested in seeing if rockstar will grab this chance and while we are talking about gunrunning, will finally balance the weaponry already in this game ?

Yeah it's a gamble how effective some of the weapons are. It all depends on the rank of the player your shooting and if they have armor or not.

I wish they would change the function that lets you hold down the fire button that makes a semi auto weapon function as a full auto. The combat pistol is a perfect example of this. I pull the trigger once to fire the first shot and if i continue to hold the fire button down it fires contentiously. That's not semi auto. That doesn't involve a trigger finger, its like shooting a full auto.

This is exactly why the marksman rife is used the way it is. You don't have to time your shot the same way, no rhythm involved. You wiggle left and right, hold down the trigger and spam shots at your target. There's nothing marksman about it, oh the irony. A lot of people bring up call of duty (sometimes) saying its for casuals but not even CoD lets you press and hold the trigger for a semi auto pistol and have it fire continuously like you would for a full automatic. The combat in GTAV needs some tweaks, and weapon balancing like you said. Hopefully RDR2 doesn't have this function, we'll get to see the direction Rockstar is going in in terms of gameplay and physics for RDR2. Honestly I think it's going to turn out perfectly as it is build from the ground up for the current generation consoles.

I disagree with the last thing if rdr2 got an online based on the same p2p system.

Of course in any sp, balancing matters a lot less :p

I think balancing matters the same for single-player and online. It's like two sides of the same coin. The overall experience should be consistent IMO.

Not really.

In single player things do not need to be balanced towards NPC's at all.

Neither should somebody care if there are a few extremely underpowered or overpowered weapons.

Sure it does not matter a lot if the weapons are in fact balanced well in a single player campain, but the only moment it really matters is in PvP.

This is why quite some weapons are nerfed or simply not available anymore when going from singleplayer to a pvp multiplayer experience.

So the next smoking jacket on Monday's gonna be the pastel green one? But... wasn't that one already released a long time ago? Maybe this one has stripes.

Also, what pants are they wearing in the pictures? I have trouble finding good matching pants to smoking jackets.

I want proper, clean, realistic, total, integral camo tints for my rifles.

The only one that looks decent is the Desert one, other really suck balls like most lazy color masks in this game.

Sorry for the long reply but you gave me an excellent opportunity to say a few things. Yeah, I like the weapon tints we have, grinding 600 kills for every LSPD tint was a good filler goal for a while. I would be really hyped for some new tint colors and designs. These camos that are currently unused in the game files make me very hopeful:

I want Crew Color tints for weapons. Solid color options OR being able to select a primary and secondary color for the accent designs from tints that we currently have. That's a missed opportunity and there's not way around that. Crew color tints would be one of the most used features that millions of people would play around with it just like they did with Benny's Original Motor Works. Red, purple, yellow, white anything RGB can provide. Can you imagine how epic a chrome/crew color weapon would look! This would satisfy the PURE GOLD metal finish, brushed steel or any option we already have for cars. Because nobody really likes the "gold" tint we currently have, some say it's a mustard tint haha. Man, if I could have a black tint with a bright red pearlescent on it I would be incredibly excited to create my own signature arsenal on a daily/weekly basis. My clothes, supercar, and weapon would all speak for themselves in harmony. Crews would jump on this and don't even get me started on applying crew emblems to weapons or even etching in your own designs like the Yusuf Amir tints rockstar added.

GTAV is a game influenced on the satires in the real world, colorful weapons is a reality and a represents a satire in american culture and the freedoms surrounding owning a gun (and painting it how you want) I wish Rockstar would portray this, would complement the game 100% if you ask me.

If a white collar CEO type player like me wants so badly imagine how much the real gun guys like you would enjoy this. Millions of players easily. Just like the millions of players that drove into Benny's to see what it was all about and left satisfied with their investment and final product.

We already have the brightest "loudest" pink tint so it can only get less intense and edgy if you ask me. For those who think this idea is dumb. Modifying the appearance of your weapons is a universal thing in popular games today just like it is for how you dress your character and tune your cars in GTA.

I appreciate the foundation of customization options that Rockstar has put into the game but it could easily be updated. With the PC, PS4 and XBOX ONE currently determining what can be added to the game I think the overall weapon customization can updated with more sophisticated options. It's not rocket science, I could make a mod right now for story mode that lets me change the weapon tints to any color I wish. I don't even have to make a mod because other players have already beat me to it. Rockstar could make this feature perfect and that's why I want them you make it a legitimate option.

We need a Benny's Customs type of workshop for weapons! I think it is very likely that GUNRUNNING will introduce a unique location that lets you do this. In gunrunning it's no secret that we will be selling weapons in the "illegal arms trade" business so what are the weapons going to look like...like they they just came out of a box, boring looking? Unlikely if you ask me. Crew colors and weapon can complement each other so well, lets say you apply a RGB crew color to the flare gun you can change the color of the flare gun AND the flare color that lights up in the sky when you shoot the flare into the sky. Lets say it's winter time and the snow is falling in Los Santos, You create a white ski outfit that looks like something out of a james bond movie, you're going to want a crisp white rifle to really complete the look and the rollplay you're going for. New color options on weapons can be seasonal just as they are an extension to your personality like the outfits you wear and the cars you paint. This option absolutely belongs in the game, in my opinion.

Import Export lets you source vehicles to steal, bring them back to their designated warehouse, modify them like your you would your personal vehicles and sell them to the buyer.

Gunrunning can do the exact same thing and it could introduce a new level of customization that we have not seen before. Adding your personal touch to the arsenal of weapons that every player carries in their weapon wheel can lead to a massive spike of interest for the game. Everyone has a favorite weapon (or the one that they rely on to get the job done) Everyone has a favorite color... see where I'm going with this....

The bottom line is if you don't like how your character looks you're not going to be very comfortable or satisfied playing as them or identifying with them.

If you don't like how your vehicle looks then your not going to be engaged to drive around the map in it or bring it to a car show.

If you don't like the weapons you use its going to be boring for you to use them.

A lot of players like collecting things, they have their own unique style. The weapons they carry should represent them on a more serious, personal level.

Great post! Even though I'm new to the forum, I've been reading it for years. So, I'm pretty up to date with most of the info. But when I read this post about gunskins I started looking at that youtube channel. As far as I could see his videos seem to be legit. But then I saw this video:

Did I miss something because the dates could very well be accurate, and he states his sources to be Yan2295 and Fun (and others). But I don't recall Yan and Fun leaking such info.

I used the search function but I can't find anything on this "GTA expert".

So is he confirmed as being a fake/clickbaiter/scam-artist? Because it's the first time I've come across him.

It's the same one that was released before. If anyone missed that one, they will have a second chance to get it.

And they're wearing pajama pants in the pictures.

Try Rockstar Support. They can't really blame you for not announcing it on time. Edited by WildBrick142

I started watching that video a few days ago I don't really have anything to say about that video. Let me say a few things about his channel. Every video he adds is different so each video has its own credibility. He has like 8K subscribers so he is trying to gain traction and good exposure. He's trying to build up a good track record and that pushes him to make decent videos with solid info. If he messes up that could really hurt his channels progress and quality assurance. What you see is what you get when you click on his videos. He is a data miner on the PC and I do respect that. He is Russian but he translates his findings in english for his audience. That video you showed me is a little out there based on what he usually leeks. I would say that his other videos are ahead of the curve because most of the "military DLC" videos he uploaded were from many months ago. He doesn't wait around to leek or upload, when he finds something hidden deep in the game files he reveals it ASAP. He doesn't wait for Rockstar to confirm a specific update. Now that gunrunning has been announced he's pretty much the top gun, credible for his military videos if you ask me. He was confidently making videos about a likely military update 5 months ago with in-game files that foreshadowed gunrunning. I realize that what he thinks will be added is never confirmed but he does piece things together in a way that makes sense and provides visual proof of what he finds. He's not making 10 minute videos with ads on them trying to make a living as a full time youtuber, he's providing honest leeks because nobody has really stepped up to the plate as far as youtube goes. GTA expert has quickly become a source of juicy info for other youtubers and that says a lot. If he finds some interiors for the Bunkers for Gunrunning he will upload them ASAP. He did that for the bikers clubhouse way back. For anyone on here who hasn't see his videos take a look it's worth it. GTA Expert

GTA ExpertTop gun might be pushing it a bit far, from what I saw after a glance at his channel is nothing more than what is found on this forum and the rest is probably just some long shots to get some subscribers

Red Dead Online clearly won't have as much DLC as GTA Online. So filling the gap between RDR and the next GTA with a GTA 5 story DLC does feel kind of credible.

GTA Expert is a wildcard let me make that clear. I'm not going to defend him if he ends up like other useless bullsh*t channels.

I don't know what to say, he's good for some videos it depends. I tend to watch the ones that show PC files and models of geometry. I could throw his "list of upcoming DLC" out my window. I watch his videos for cut content, beta and hidden files nothing more.

But we do know that the actor for Franklin was in Rockstar studios recording stuff. So if they still have some GTA 5 story expansion, it would actually make sense to release it in 2018 or 2019, after RDR2.

Have a feeling he will feature in GTA VI with two new protags. So that could be for that? Roll on 2019.......

Hopefully not. The multi-protag gimmick needs to die with GTA 5.

But those Shawn Fonteno tweets of him teasing are like more than a year old I think? Isn't that a bit early to start doing motion cap stuff?

I'm guessing they were at the early stages of creating the GTA6 map at that point. Motion cap and recording is like only done in the more final stages of the game development, right?

It probably won't. They are already carrying it over with RDR2 by the sound of things.

If XXII runs that channel, then it's fake. He made a bunch of really bad "leaked DLC" videos about a year or two ago and kept acting like it was all real but it was just a bunch of concept art he made.

Yes, GTA Expert is a faker too. I pointed it out, but his childish fanbase couldn't handle the facts.

I also asked Fun about it, and he did not say anything of what GTA Expert showed us.

So he is just another scumbag YouTuber. He's a young channel, but not for long, unfortunately...

Sure, there's a big chance of him faking that video about "new projects", but it doesn't seem that far fetched.

Why did Rockstar record more of Franklin?

GTA Online updates will stop at one point. This year being very realistic. It might be a good plan to release a GTA 5 story DLC (which they may have already laying around) in the period after RDR2/Multiplayer and before GTA6. That way, they can focus all their resources on GTA6, while still offering something to the fanbase and shareholders.

It probably won't. They are already carrying it over with RDR2 by the sound of things.

The 'sound' of unfounded and unproven rumours of random c*nts on the internet. Probably shouldn't listen to snake oil salesmen.
